Extraordinary place to visit. I have never been to a place like this. A must go! Special atmosphere and so many things to discover. Gothic vibes all over. Fantastic! Also - best Mojito I ever had! Thank you so much for having us!

This place is amazing, even though I don't really know what kind of place this is. It's weird and quirky, has art and all sorts of other stuff laying around. The owner, a self-proclaimed vampire and his wife, Norma run the place. She's an absolute darling that can make mean cocktails and is fun to talk to. We met a few locals and tourists here and struck up a conversation, because this place and the lovely hostess invite to interact with others. Definitely worth visiting.

Peculiar place inspired by E.A. Poe. The host, Mr Retsin is welcoming his guests and is giving recommendations about what to see. At the end, you get a cocktail, on the house. Smoking area exists inside. Amazing place! A must see in Bruges, especially if you’re into weird and creepy.

Great place to have some drinks! Fun experience and amazing atmosphere. I would love to have my drinks here every week! Great hosts! If we had more time we would have stayed longer. Deffinitly coming back!

This is the quirkiest neatest spot I have been. Undoubtedly the eccentric, fun, and well read host makes it. The cocktails are spot in and the house is something out of Ms. Havishams home in Great Expectations. It’s worth a stop if you are into Edgar Allan Poe, HP Lovecraft or the like. It’s indescribable but a trielt once in a lifetime experience

I'm afraid my camera does not do this place justice. It's ... different. Don't go in expecting anything else than a sort of adventure through the mind of an artist.

After struggling to find a nice place to drink in quiet Bruge, I remember reading about this place. We arrived close to closing time, but the kind (in character) owner let us in and we were there for 3hrs. The whole house is atmospherically and creepily decorated with ambient music where you are finally led to a bar downstairs for musical entertainment. The owners clearly enjoyed and went out of their way to show us a good time. Honestly one of the best bars I've ever been to! Hands down.

One of the most unique experiences in Bruges and in my life! Only open for a few hours on Sunday, it was a treat experiencing this unique house, art, atmosphere and hosts! There was even live "gypsy" music, very authentic and good! If you have the chance and want an unforgettable experience, you have to go!

Excellent museum. Eclectic mix , paintings, sculptures and quotes. Hosts were really friendly and knowledgeable. Could spend hours there viewing paintings etc or just chilling in the garden courtyard.

Absolute offbeat must-see! Nothing like you’ve ever experienced before, I promise. Creepy at first but then you’re amazed by the great works of the artist, by the way he sees the world, the collection of things and details. It’s like you’re Alice in a different kind of wonderland. His wife makes the best cocktails ever (one is included in entrance fee) and the owner is absolutely in character. A lovely couple. A mesmerizing place. Go.

If you're looking for an interesting place to spend an afternoon, this museum/exhibition/lounge is a great choice. The hosts are lovely and the building is fascinating. I wish I had more time to spend in this one of a kind place. Hidden gem!

First you need to know that you must pay 15 euros per person (include a drink). I need to disagree with all these reviews here. It isn’t a amazing place to visit, it’s a crazy place that 2 brothers created a long time ago. With paintings and a lot of weirds things, that don’t make sense, really. I think it’s too expensive and it is not a good experience to have here I brugges. You can spend your money with something much better.

I first came here in 2012. Now again in 2023. It’s wonderfully eccentric. You shouldn’t miss this place if you come to Bruges. Norma the lady who does the garden made us a lovely Pina Colada and it was nice to just sit and chat away from the crowds xx

Wonderful place, a bit expensive (15€) but you get a free cocktail. Its house and bar full of dark paintings and morbid statues, very gothic and artistic, no jump scares. If you don't like tripping hazards or depictions of: nudity, death, love making, blackface, the devil himself this might not be for you. The owner is a bit old and makes groaning sounds, but he is very friendly and likes to tell stories. Perhaps he may tell you about a cool other place in Bruges or about his family history.
