A
disappointing
experience
that
started
out
so
well
(oh
the
delicious
mushroom
soup
as
the
amuse-bouche)
and
the
kind
service
but
spiralled
downwards
both
in
terms
of
the
food
and
service.
The
galette
(2nd
dish)
was
balanced
but
dry,
saved
by
the
leeks.
And
then
the
dishes
had
creative
but
unmatching
combinations,
where
the
ingredients
didn't
work
together
or
were
overpowered
by
each
other.
And
there
were
preparation
issues
such
as
the
naan
being
warm
but
still
hard
and
tasteless.
And
the
dessert
was
sadly
abysmal.
Now,
the
key
to
understanding
what
might
be
going
wrong
at
the
Brut
could
be
that
the
kitchen
staff
immediately
cleaned
up
and
left
the
area
before
we
were
done
with
our
meal.
The
rush
of
the
staff
to
get
out
and
away
seemed
to
be
connected
to
the
front
of
the
house
host
and
sommelier,
who
also
disappeared
from
service.
It
is
almost
like
everyone
checked
out
and
left
the
guests
alone.
Our
last
glass
of
the
wine
pairing
was
forgotten
till
after
we
asked
for
it
halfway
through
the
main
dish
to
be
paired
with.
They
would
hang
out
among
themselves,
chitchatting
while
we
waited
for
the
check
for
about
30mins
(even
after
walking
to
the
counter
to
ask
for
it).
They
were
also
confused
about
our
food
and
wine
orders,
though
kind
enough
to
cover
the
extra
dishes
they
had
accidentally
served.
Overall,
it
became
a
slow,
unsatisfying
and
at
times
dreadful
experience.
The
Brut
we
visited
yesterday
won't
survive
long
without
fixing
their
issues.
