👍👍 Very peaceful and well maintained temple despite bringing very less crowd to the temple generally. See if you can contribute to the temple and priest in some way. Singeeswarar, Koovam Shivan and Narasingapuram Lakshmi Narasimha Perumal temple are all situated within few miles from each other. Plan... People often mention temple, visit, Shiva, star,

A beautiful temple in Mapedu. The temple is famous shrine for moola star born people. Of you're a moola star born person, this is the temple you need to visit. It is easily accessible from the chennai arakanoam highway. The entrance is few yards from the highway. You can travel using car here. It's been built by chola empire. And the Vinayagar statue here is 5000 year old. The temple timings is based on the crowd. During my visit the temple closed by 6.30 pm itself. So if you are planning to visit, I will say plan to visit between 5 to 6 pm. I am not sure about the morning timings in this temple.

Moola Nakshatra Parihara Sthalam. The Temple is said to have been built by the Chola King Aditya Karikaala Chozha in the year 967 AD. The Nandhi (by name “Singhi”) failed to enjoy the divine dance performed by Lord Shiva at Thiruvalangadu as he was so engrossed in playing the Mridangam. Nandhi wanted to see HIS dance again and worshipped here. Lord Shiva danced here (Meiped) in accordance with the devotion of “Singhi”. Hence, Lord is called as “Singhi + Eswarar = Singeeswarar”. Must visit temple. I have visited this temple several times with 2nd Sep 2016 being my first visit.

It was really surprising to me when I came to know that this temple was built 1050 years ago by descendant of Karikala Cholan. You can reach this place by 2/4 wheeler. It is approx 22kms from Empee distillers. All you need to do is go on the straight road to reach this place. Though there is hardly any crowd, Temple is well maintained. Surroundings were clean and there is enough greenery inside the temple. They have enough place for you to conduct functions like marriage ceremony & serve food inside the premises. Since it is away from city, arranging food would be difficult as you need to go to koot road to fetch tjem. If you come prepared, you can have a nice time here & get the blessings of The Almighty.

Ancient Devotional vibes. 4000 years old idols can be seen here Actually a heritage temple Sculptures are belongs to adhithya cholan period Periodical feeling will be spreaded amidst the premises. Not much crowd.not known by more people.this itself maintain the sanity of this big temple. Shiva devotees must visit the holy shrine to obtain the grace of singeeswarar. Actually the place is named as THIRU MEI PEEDU. In due course it has been called as mappedu. Ohm namashivaaya.........

Grateful for a divine experience at Arulmigu Shri Pushpakuja Ambal Udhanurai Shri Singeeshwarar Swamy Temple in Mappedu, just 58 km from Velachery, Chennai. Despite the rainy journey, we arrived at 7:30 am to find the temple open. Though the iyyer was briefly absent, his return after 20 minutes allowed us to commence archanai for our family members. The temple, renowned for its parikaram for Moola Nakshatra (Sagittarius), featured the lighting of six deepams for Shiva and a special deepam for Hanuman, accompanied by the soothing sound of a veena. Satisfying darshan and a memorable spiritual journey.

Extremely peaceful & graceful temple to visit. Spent half day on moola star date. Many beautiful changes in my life. Very powerful God Shiva Lingha & Godesse Lalithambiga ( PushpaGuja Ambal ) Pray God Dhakshnamurthy on the entrance. The temple is opened the whole morning on moola nakshatra days. Anyway call them before to confirm open timings. Extremely recommend the moola star people to go pray
