This place has a very cool ambiance. It's very popular with college kids. They have popcorn you can eat for free. It's a must visit at least once if you visit Buffalo.

Please go to this place and say hi to Mike. He will entertain you with trivia questions and stories of buffalos past while you eat steak sammies and hamburgers. This place helped me repair my relationship with my estranged son douglas even after everything I went through with his mother. I love it hear.

Had a pitcher of Guinness. Overall a pretty chill place. No loud blasting music, so it was easy to hold a conversation. Cool and interesting decor to look at when not conversing.

All in all I wouldn’t take my grandmother to this place. It smelled of racism and prejudice the minute I walked into the bar. My senses we’re definitely right when I was handed a menu that was so poorly printed that only half the word night was showing. I could understand a mistake but that’s egregious and insensitive. Bartender was nice, but the place is trash. Finally one last complaint and note, if you do go to this place and enjoy it karma will be waiting outside the door if it’s raining. There’s a giant pothole that cars drive through that will soak and ruin your entire day upon leaving.

A cool spot. We stopped in for a drink after reading the popular reviews online. Bar has an old pub feel to it, a lot of presidential/ old time pictures on the wall Would recommend to anyone looking for a different vibe than most bars in the buffalo area

The atmosphere, food and service were great. As a historian, I loved all the presidential memorabilia. Our server was also the cook and I had an amazing burger, while my husband had a philly cheese steak. I have never in my life had cheese steak I enjoyed, but WOW, was I missing out! So good!

I have to say the reviews of this place are incredibly misleading. I’m sure this place was once a must-see destination, but it seems time has gotten the worst of it. Everything was absolutely filthy! The ketchup bottle on our table had black and brown stains all over the cap, the salt and pepper shakers also very questionable, our paper napkins and cutlery came dirty and the table was covered in crumbs… They have a popcorn machine that i wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole, you can’t even see through the glass, that thing has probably never been cleaned. The owner of the bar was friendly but strange. He kept interrupting us with American trivia questions which was annoying since it wasn’t a trivia night, we just stopped in for some lunch because the reviews were so good. He made a weird comment about his grandmother being hung, and coughed all over our food. He was also our bartender, server, AND cook???? I seriously felt like I was in an SNL skit, it was just absolutely ridiculous. My food was inedible, I literally wrapped half of it in a napkin and threw it in the garbage because I couldn’t eat it (I’m a people pleaser😂). There was a server who was sweet and normal, she was the only saving grace of that place. Be warned. If you wanna go for a good laugh, head on over. If you want a nice and basic health standards abiding place to eat, maybe consider elsewhere. Gordon Ramsey, please pay them a visit!

Most of what I've heard about this bar is that it's "The oldest bar in Buffalo" which may or may not be true as far as structure housing a bar goes but the bar tender filled us in that the doors to the bar opened in the mid 1980's, regardless the interior suits it's name as it's decorated with memorabilia from our nation's presidents and wars. There's probably seating for close to 50 people including the bar and a variety of TV's broadcasting the latest sports updates. The menu was on the smaller side but the food didn't disappoint. I ordered the "Philly cheese steak" sandwich and a cup of broccoli and cheese soup. The sandwich was loaded with huge tender cut pieces of actual steak with fresh sweet peppers (and by choice no onion, add mushrooms) the mushrooms was a bad choice as they are canned and not fresh... the roll could have used a decent toast to keep the roll crisp and together but otherwise it's be a 5/5 star review. Stop in for some grub or a drink with friends and you won't be disappointed!

I haven't eaten at Founding Fathers since college in the late 90s. I wanted my husband to taste their Philly and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The food here is phenomenal. The flavor is unique to their grill. The atmosphere is welcoming, immersive, and extraordinary. Have always loved Founding Fathers.

You can sometimes find the owner taking your order, cooking and serving beers all at once. The inside is decorated with countless images on the different presidents. Very unique spot

The kitchen is probably 20 sqft and the cooks PERFORM MIRACLES. every bite is seasoned, cooked to perfection, and served hot. Here's my pic of the NY strip and Philly Cheesesteak.

Fun little pub with super friendly staff.

Saw this place on "50 things you didn't know about Buffalo," so if course I had to check it out and have a drink. Found myself trying to remember my American history immediately, taking in all the really cool pics & flags. Bar trivia, fun atmosphere, good time.

My friend Matthew and i (both Limeys/Brits), were in Buffalo for last Thursday night's big game 26/10/23 and what a day and night it was! :) Tailgate parties en-route, Cornhole, beers (plenty), the game (GO BILLS) and to top it off, we ended up at Founding Fathers Pub (which we had read about online). I just want to say how great the place is- we immediately felt at home in there- like a regular- the locals/drinkers and the Barmaid were so welcoming and friendly, so i just wanted to say a big thank you on here to all we met that evening- for helping us finish off a fab day in such a great way :) The slight hangover in the morning was the only downside but it was a 5 night holiday/vacation, so we had to go LARGE!!! :)))) Thank you all again, what a great Pub!

Hasnt changed in 25 years. Still amazing. Great service, fun Trivia at the bar! The free popcorn is just a bonus!

Very cool, unique tavern. Everything political but nothing political about it. Homage to our Presidents and Nation. A few beers on tap and small menu consisting mainly of sandwiches and chips. Our Bartender was pleasanyand we enjoyed going over the United States Place Mat. Tons of history at a fun local hangout.

Great beer and food a must stop location if you are downtown

Nostalgic old style pub. Men's washroom was not pleasant, strong urine smell. I had chicken and steak ceaser salad, both proteins were over cooked, the steak was burnt. Two of our party had the jerk chicken Philly and they said it was good. Would I go back? Highly doubt it.

My Girlfriend had a apt at Roswell today so as we often dondecided to check out someplwace local for food.. we live in Niagara county, google andnmap searches show more places than you can think of for food near the hosp. We finally stumbled on Foundin Fathers. After finding a place to park we stopped in. The decor is awesome, plenty of presidential memorabilia but no real political skew to it . Bar keep was cordial and noce to chat with. We jad the BBQ chicken Vosom. Chicken was perfectly cooked great flavor . Reasonable prices for todays qorld. To bad we were not in Buffalo more often would definitely stop again if we were.

Never a dull moment here. Fun and friendly crowd the times I've been. The bottled beer could be colder but the drinks are made well.

This bar is really cool and worth visiting but the service that I got the one time I visited was the worst in a loooong time! First, there was no food, at all. Second, they had like 3 beer on tab all of them were pretty basic. Third, the bartender was high or something. She was no good. Hence the three stars.

This place is wondrous. Staff are super friendly and the decor is great. Probably a great place to play out of the apartment “True American”. Wander in there sometime. If you don’t like it maybe Daedonggang Bar in Pyongyang is more your speed. Also Lincoln is wearing a mask as he can’t move to ensure he can abide by social distancing. I was in there 15 minutes and felt right at home. From a Covid standpoint they are playing by the rules and I felt comfortable.

We went to this place because it had great reviews and sounded funky and fun. In reality it is filthy! Absolutely disgusting. Ground in dirt on the ketchup bottles, smeared dried stains on the salt and pepper shakers, utensils had dried leftover old sauce stains on them, even the paper napkins were dirty - I'm not kidding! We were constantly being challenged with trivia questions by the owner which was annoying because it wasn't even trivia night! Stay away from the popcorn, the popcorn machine is so dirty you can't see through the glass! Honestly, give this place a hard pass!!!😱 The one redeeming quality was our female server, she was lovely. This place needs a health inspector in the worst way.

Good food. Good beer. Amazing environment, the staff is entertaining and knowledgeable. We came here for a quick before drink and ended our night here. This is a must go for any visit to Buffalo now!
