Love their breakfast and homemade bread. Open bright and early in Black Rock on Amherst st this is a great hidden spot. Edited to add photos - another great visit!

Solid spot with solid food. Hash browns are a must -- super unique cut and delicious. Chocolate Chip pancakes are legit. Prices are the best in Buffalo. A total "if you know, you know" joint, for sure. We had a table of six and our waitress was phenomenal. Food came out fast, perfect, and huge portions.

Food: The food is always top-notch. Good portions for the prices they charge. My favorite dish is the Country Breakfast: French toast, over-easy eggs, Homefries, bacon, and white toast. You have your choice of meat, choice of French toast or pancakes, choice of bread for the toast, and you choose how you want your eggs. Always delicious! Service: The servers are very nice, but the initial impression I got was a sort of indifference from some of them. Don't let that fool you, though, because they are actually great people! Atmosphere: Nick's has that diner feel through and through, although the restaurant layout differs from a traditional diner. It is well lit and makes me feel comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend trying this place out.

Nick's Place has always been one of my favorite off beat restaurants for 10 years now. But over the last few years, Nick's Place has become dirty and unsanitary to an extreme degree. Bugs crawling on the walls, crushed food in the carpet, uncooked food exposed to other customers standing or sitting near it, extremely dirty walls, dirty silverware, dirty plates and cups, condiment bottles that have been refilled more times than should be allowed. Its time Nick, when you take a month off in July to see family for a month, hire a cleaning company and fix your restaurant please. I'm sorry, some over the pictures were videos that don't show as videos.

Awesome place! It's like an American diner with a slight Greek twist everything is homemade as you can see even the potatoes and the bread. This is a Moscow just to experience this place!

This place is as comforting as can be. I've been here a few times and the food is always amazing - right along with the service. I would definitely suggest this place for breakfast or lunch if you're in the area.

Small diner, great food. Tastes like meals made at home. Stopped in on a Saturday morning around 9:30. It gets pretty full and they’re only open until 2pm so get here early. You seat yourself. Great service, great food, better prices. Totally worth it.

Nick’s breakfast is Omelett, potatoes and Hot Dogs. I had a different idea when I ordered, but ea was delicious. The really sweet girl that served and will be remembered.

First time here and the breakfast was delicious. I had the Country breakfast which is 2 eggs, bacon, homefries, toast and 2 pancakes (couldn't eat all pancakes due to I was full but took rest home😉)

Ordered here over probably about 10 times in the last year. The staff are ALWAYS nice and courteous, the food is great, and you get a lot for the price. We haven't dined in yet, we always take it to-go but they are extremely fast and there is never a long wait.

The most humblest family friendly restaurant! We were a group of 9. The staff were all welcoming, polite and friendly. The food tasted as amazing as it looked.

The waitress with the blue hair sucked the energy out of the room. It was so comically bad that even though I will never be back, I had a 10/10 experience witnessing all the customers get fed up with her abysmal service. Oh, also, a rag that fell on the floor to wipe a table. Also counted 10 flies in the room, heh. Food was fine.

Been going here for years anytime I'm in town. Very homely. Better Canadian bacon (pemeal bacon) than in Canada! Homemade bread is on point ! Great place for breakfast or lunch.

Great little neighborhood place for breakfast or lunch. Excellent service and fantastic food. The dining area is a little rough but the food and service make up for it.

Food was absolutely amazing. Everything was made from scratch. Staff was very friendly. It's a family-owned business. I highly recommend everyone go try this place You won't be disappointed.

This place is awesome! Food was delicious, service was great & prompt, and the prices are reasonable. If you’re going on a weekend try to get there early - we got in around 10 & a line was starting to form, but it moves pretty quickly. We’ll definitely come back for lunch.

If you are looking for a generous portion breakfast at the most affordable price in town, Nick's is the place. The homemade bread is delicious. The restaurant is in the bottom back of a double house. The eating area isn't that big ...mom & pop style but you can't beat the portion for the very affordable price.

First time eating here. I'm from New Jersey visiting Buffalo. My fiance is from Buffalo kinda vouched for this place, because it was good once upon a time. He wasn't that thrilled after we left. His bread was stale and the Suvlaki chicken wasn't that good either. I wasn't that pleased with my food or the place. Flies were all over the restaurant and place was dirty. I don't recall seeing sticky fly traps anywhere. If flies are all over the restaurant who's to say that they aren't in the food in the kitchen?

Server was wonderful! Very friendly and took great care of us. But unfortunately my chicken souvlaki salad was a bit lackluster, and the chicken seemed to have almost no flavor. The pita was delicious tho.

I love the welcome me and my girlfriend receive as soon we get there. It's such an warming place that feels like home. All crew members are very friendly and the food is amazing

My girlfriend and I found Nick's Place about 2 years ago. We were looking for a good breakfast place and once we found Nick's, we haven't been anywhere else for breakfast. We always leave stuffed and you get so much for your money! Staff is friendly and attentive

Stumbled upon this little place on our way out of town. Perfect breakfast joint. I had a short stack with a side of ham and my companion had eggs, home fries, bacon. All prepared perfectly. Hot fresh good coffee. Fast and cheap, $22. Will be back!

It's okay homemade food place needs to be cleaned up and redecorated though I know they're going for old style but they need to be more clean Style it's always good to maintain cleanliness and new decor
