there was a hotel-exclusive blackout and they couldn't even be bothered to do anything. we literally had to use our phones to see anything at all for the whole night. the service is atrocious even for a 1-star hotel. the personel (especially the waiters) are rude and act like they are being forced to work there. one of my friends got food poisoning from scrambled eggs. the overall food is way overpriced for the lacking quality. as soon as the sun sets the outdoor walls of the hotel are covered in spiders. i paid 87€ for 3 nights and i honestly don't think it was worth it.

Nice, approachable and friendly staff but no one to find anywhere (or call) in the middle of the night when teenagers on their excursion trip shout, scream, vomit around and make problems. So if you want to have a peaceful and quiet holiday - find some other place!

Purbach is lovely and I've stayed there often, but this was the first time I've stayed at the campsite. The location is good if you're arriving by train and for cyclists, as well as for the outdoor swimming pool. It was quieter at night than when I stayed at Rust. Also, the food in the campsite restaurant is rather good. On the negative side, the Wigwam tents at 17 euro per person are a bit of a piss-take. We were seven in the tent (which is on a concrete base with no padding... and no "futons" just in case you have read about them on bookings.com), which netted the campsite 119 euro per night. On the plus side, the one we stayed in was weatherproof (weather was terrible) and the gentleman at the campsite had made some efforts to ensure that and the wigwams are a cute, fun idea. However, for that kind of money, it is not too much to ask that these wigwams be treated for mould in the autumn and stored dry over the winter. Secondly, when we paid the bill, we were nearly charged tourist tax for the children... so do your own maths incase the staff are not paying attention when you say how many adults and children. Thirdly, the washing up facilities have been designed by someone who never has to wash up themselves.... there are some very tasteful tiles on the wall, but no draining boards! Where do you put the clean stuff? Back in the sink? Fourthly, it would be nice to have better selective waste facilities: there is no residual waste bin where the recycling is and no dedicated waste bin for the temporary campers... we used the bin at the back of the restaurant and the litter bin near reception.... Finally, and perhap the only really important point, is that the soap ran out in the soap dispensers, which during the Corona epidemic is a really, important, basic issue. I get that the cleaning staff maybe only come in the morning, but someone from reception should really be checking the soap during the day... at very least during the current situation. I wouldn't want to put anyone off; it's in a good location; the staff were nice; and it was quiet. But there's some room for improvement. Better perhaps for those with their own camper / caravan, or just for a night or two in a tent or wigwam.

The good part about this place is that you might still get a campsite on busy weekends on a first come basis without reservation, since it's a 15 minute bike ride away from the lake shore. But the appeal for tent campers is minimal. Two small lawns are available to share between tent campers and short stay trailers/RVs. One of them is close to the restaurant at the entrance, where at 1:30 in the morning the party was still going strong, not conducive to a good night's sleep. There is zero infrastructure for tent campers. You fight over space since there are no assigned lots. No tables or benches. No trash receptacles. The place caters mainly to permanently installed campers to which the vast majority of space is devoted.

Great place . I give 4 stars just because the room was not as good as we expected ,only the bathroom was super ok . We for sure want to come back in a better room .

Good location, english speaking reception, no credit card accepted. Inside the Camp there is a good restaurant, with Hungarian speaking staff. In the restaurant also do not accept credit card.

Located just 55mins with car from Vienna, the camp is well designed for holidays for both families, solo and couples. Restaurant is equipped with both vegetarian and vegan options making it easier for visitors to choose from a variety of foods. Rooms are neat and cleaned every day. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
