The place is very beautiful, nice chilled out door environment, the food very nice 👌 but unfortunately the co-owner manager has a horrible attitude and doesn't value people. So we were hosting a birthday party there and she came embarrassed us in front of our guests, Instead of her calling us to the side and tells us her concerns or wait for our guests to leave first atleast and we ended up going very early because of her rudeness

Venue and staff were lovely.....had some lunch off the Al la Carte menu and had the Chicken Strips with chips and cheese sauce.....what a disappointment.....everything tasted like it came out of a frozen foods box and the cheese sauce was grainy and terrible.....clearly no desire by the kitchen to cook nevermind cooking well at all

We as a family do enjoy attending the Sunday buffets and we are always astounded with the selection of food from starters through to desert. The attention to details, flavors and atmosphere keeps us coming back for more. I would highly recommend Gabbata to all who would like value for their money and a little break from city life.

We went there me and my wife for a quick branch, the food was good, they can improve on the lemons they give out, and be efficient in order turn around.

Well maintened, clean and organized, friendly and helpful with relaxed atmosphere. Public toilets and wheelchair excessable. Archers preferred venue with well equipped arching range. Chalets neat and clean, airconditioned and well equipped. Pleasant stay

Beautiful venue and restaurant. Great service food. Just wish they would stay open a little longer. However, they do always check and confirm times over the phone, which I really appreciate.

Gabbata was a lovely lunch buffet experience and we really enjoyed ourselves. Our only complaint is that what is stated on the website with regards to the menu offering and the cost per head is not what you get. We were however very happy with what we got. I think the website needs to be updated.

So although their food is great, DO NOT use them for a wedding venue. After we recieved the initial quote for our wedding, we paid our deposit, only to find out that when we had to paid the full amount that she "made a mistake". This "mistake" the owner made, cost my wife and I almost R20'000.00 extra to be paid after the initial quote was accepted and that she cannot keep her promise on the initial quote. She did not want to accept her mistake and insisted we have to pay the additional R200.00 per person. Further more, the menu discussed and provided was not the same although still great. She also contacted us about 2 to 3 weeks after the wedding and asked if we had seen one of their fridge holders. Mother of the bride had to tell the staff to not take the corkage fee champagne from the tables (still closed). Forgot some items at the venue and was not informed, tried contacting them without success, so eventually drove through and only got it back then. Will never recommend them to anyone.

Sunday Buffet was so impressive. As someone who is a picky eater and hard to please, we were pleasantly surprised. Have been to many wedding venues, very few have food of this qaulity and variety. Highly recommended.

We had a family birthday and we had an awesome time. Good food, we are foodies so it was such a treat!

Made an arrangement for Matric Farewell photo's on their premises. They agreed telephonically and on email to certain terms and when we had to pay our bill on the day they changed their story. Added additional cost to the bill. When we enquired about it they said we made a mistake. We paid the bill on the day and followed it up with them the next day. The basically told me I was a lair and assumed certain terms and did not even try to resolve the matter. Did not apologize for making a mistake or refund the incorrect cost charged. Followed up with several emails. Not even the owner Mariette bothered to respond to my emails. Will not recommend this Venue. Unhelpful and incompetent staff. Rude owners.
