Their beans curry bunny was sweet. Who eats sweet bunny chow? They also do not serve any pickle with their bunny chow nor can you purchase any pickle separately. Their bunny chow is not worth it.

I believe I'm somewhat of a connoisseur when it comes to a good curry and I've frequented Bay Leaf for a number of years. They have never disappointed me or any of my guests and their food is always delicious.

Very very poor service. At first visit, it was like excellent and charming services by staff. The food was good tasty and cooked well. But as usually like always, the restaurant does, second visit with family was horrible. I ordered food which arrived very quick less than expected time. But i realise that the chicken tikka was not made fully cooked. It was raw and could not manage to eat more than one bite. Same time we call the manager and staff lied to us the manager is not here. They took the food and cooked again same food instead of serving new chicken, the chicken was overcooked and became blackish outside.. We cancel the table order and find out that manager was sitting in restaurant too. I complained him very humbly and explain everything what happened. He apologized and we left the restaurant. This incident happened in Fordsburg branch. The same service was delivered and same happened in both branches one on Laudium and other in Fordsburg.

The venue was very empty, but noisy. It was the staff being loud. The owner or the person usually at the entrance or till only arrived later. The standard of the service and quality of food has dropped. I have to look for an alternative Indian restaurant

I have been a customer for over 10 years and the quality of food and portions is still top class. I have eaten in the restaurant a few times and also buy the biryani on a Friday to take home to family and friends for a top class meal. They are like family to me. I have been to other Indian restaurants in Johannesburg and Durban and their biryani and butter chicken are not as good as the Bayleaf Restaurant. You will not be disappointed

Very good Indian food with value for money and service is very quick and friendly. They are really helpful in explaining menu items and also very amenable to making changes to cater for particular dietary needs.

The food is always excellent...friendly staff...they never disappoint us...even if we had any issues they resolve it at the same time...our money is always well spent here...keep up the excellent service

Amazing place to dine in. Very good staff, good food and affordable too. No worry about parking... There's always one person looking after our cars safety outside. Chicken tikka and naans with chicken bhuna are the best combination ever... Recommended 👍😋

Very nice restaurant for some quick and tasty food. A mixture of grills ,curries and various other items. Food was good 👍 Service was excellent 👌. Definitely worth it and will go back again. Parking was a bit of an issue but it's okay. Restaurant is halaal too. Pricing was very good as well.

I have been coming here for almost 10 years now. There butter chicken is so good. The staff are friendly and very quick to get orders out without compromising quality. Definitely recommend 👌

Portions were smaller than expected. I had a sneak peak at another table and saw the portions were bigger compared to ours. We were only a 2 adults and 2 toddlers so I assume portions were given at the amount of people seated and paid full price. Butter Chicken was sweet, pricing wise ok but portions did not match pricing. Overall it was ok. However I will not be coming back due to the fact that the taste and quality has dropped. Not like before.

Food is below average, prawn masala was unpleasant, I don't recommend this restaurant. Chicken Tikka was tasteless, the chicken pieces used in chicken Kalia was hard and inferior quality.

This is my go too for perfect Indian food, the briyani and the mixed grill are the best in Joburg in my opinion.

Best tasting butter chicken and prawns biryani I’ve ever tasted. Service is excellent. Waiters friendly and efficient. Parking is great and there is a guard patrolling all the time.

They have a nice variety of food. Tasty food . The first time I bought from here the food was so good . Bought this week the food was terrible . They put the price up . I bought just 2 weeks ago before. The meat was a bit hard under cooked and this time no taste .

Offer a large variety menu. Not only curry. The korma chicken delicious. Very prompt service. Also have a take away. Will definitely go again. Very reasonably priced.

It is a perfectly affordable place to dine with your family for a delicious meal. The toilet facilities need a little bit more cleaning but are still usable. Other than that the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. They offer take away and sit down the waiters are very friendly.

My absolute favorite Indian restaurant. The best aaloo and cheese paratha, amazing chicken Tikka, mouth watering chicken boti Masala (to die for), paneer Masala, butter chicken, and the list goes on. Definitely the best bombay crush ever. A must when I'm in fordsburg 👌🙂👌🙂👌🙂

I've been dining here for over 10 years and I can honesty say, hands down.....there is no better Indian food. Nishan, one of the owners is amazing and the food never disappointments. Authentic as it gets.
