Absolutely SHOCKING!! Never in my life have I ever experienced what happened to my friend yesterday when we had lunch at Bootleggers. I ordered the ham & cheese Toastie. Dry, under-toasted bread with 2 slices of COLD ham and mozzarella. I sent it back for re-toasting but it came back a little bit "reheated". No garnish or side, just 2 slices of bread, 2 slices of ham and minimal (almost stingy) mozzarella. For R85, totally overpriced! That was nothing... My friend ordered a double burger 🍔 it came with a side of chips, very minimal with (again) no garnish. My friend took the top piece of the bun off and cut into the burger. Under the patty was a piece of plastic. Not small, but a big piece of plastic, the lid of an atchar plastic. The waiter was called and he removed the plate from the table. When he returned with a new one he said that the manager apologises for the mishap. No personal apology from the manager. We received the bill and yip, as you guessed, were charged for the burger! Then, after the payment (which was rushed along as the waiter's shift was about to end) the head chef came out and apologised, laughing and saying that it was deliberate and that he had reported it to head office and heads were going to roll. But no offer of a complimentary coffee, nothing... Food=overpriced and unpalatable. Service=tolerable. Restaurant=overrated. My chances of ever supporting them again=ZERO!!!

I needed a coffee fix and was not disappointed. We ordered coffee, a toasted chicken and mayonnaise sandwich and received what we ordered, nothing more and nothing less. We enjoyed so much that we returned a second time and ordered the fried fish and chips but that was not as tasty as the toasted sandwich. The service is great. Located in beautiful open mall which is a bonus with inside and outside seating available. The do have a limited menu and I think they should focus more on lunch meals and maybe add lunch baskets rather than full on meals. They also have a limited selection of sweet treats and can maybe increase that as well.

I visited the Bootlegger Coffee Company in Cape Town and I absolutely fell in love so it goes without saying that I was beyond excited that one had opened up in Centurion. Look my 1st impression was really good, we were immediately greeted with all smiles and taken to a lovely table of our choice. We started off with their home made berry (sugar free) Ice tea and yeah I blame myself for that, sugar free + sweet tooth obviously doesn't go well together, I had to add some sweetener and it was somewhat bareable but yeah that's whatever. I had myself the BootEgger which was well below average which really sucks because this is what I had at Cape Town and it blew my mind but this was not it. The mushrooms were bland, banger was over cooked and Toast was, well I've had had better considering its toast We also had the Chicken burger and just don't, please don't even consider it. Look I will atleast acknowledge that it's a burger but wow the mustard mayo was just terrible and really messes up the burger. The bacon was very charred. They serve it like American bacon which I believe is out of touch as we are South African and we prefer non-crispy bacon. The presentation of the food looks good but the taste really needs some work

Went there for breakfast & coffee. The service was not great & we waited long for a cup of coffee. We also ordered a vanilla milkshake but received a milkshake glass of soft serve ice creams that wasn't even drinkable. Our coffees were finished by the time the milkshake arrived. The Buttermilk and marscapone flap jacks was lacking the cheese, and the powdered sugar & cinnamon was on the plate for decoration. Definitely not the sugar rush I was hoping for! Great presentation. A friend had a toasted chic mayo but the bread was so thick that he only ate one slice. The only breakfast that was okay was the wrap that my other friend had. Definitely not worth the bill I got!

Greeted by the most friendly staff. The service was excellent. Eventhough the vegan burger was not available, the Lemon and Herb Chickpea Sandwich as well as their spin on avo toast (with beetroot and peas) was delicious. And I must say one of the best Freezos ever! Dark chocolate with oat milk; rich, creamy and full of chocolate 😋 The menu is extensive enough for all dietary requirements and you will have Many options too choose from. I have been to the Bootleggers in Stellebosch years ago, and was thrilled when I saw there's one close by.

Firstly, the food was incredible and VERY CHEAP! Secondly, our waitress Innocentia was so polite, warm and she was very friendly! Everything about her makes you want to come back to the place! If you visit, ask for Innocentia and you won’t regret it!

Beautifully presented food and absolutely delicious. A bit slow in service. But didn’t mind the wait. We had a beautiful morning and enjoyed the beautiful space.

Service was okay. Food is nothing write home about. Only big issue was the glasses our hot chocolate and latte was served in. Had to ask for different cups because we couldn’t even hold the glasses. Please consider getting proper glasses with handles for your hot drinks.

I got the Kentucky style burger and it was quite good. But, I witnessed the manager speaking to the staff in a manner that I find unacceptable. He berated staff members for taking a call and then not even 5 minutes later he himself is on his phone scrolling through Instagram. That is unacceptable. He also treated my waitress as though she was an idiot and constantly put her down. I will not return to this establishment nor will I ever recommend it to anyone I know solely because of how this manager treats his staff. In my opinion how one treats one's staff says more about the type of company you are than your food and hospitality ever could.
