Took the dogs for a on the leash bush hike @ Buffelsdrift Trail Park (Pretoria) this morning. Many different trail options to choose from ranging from 5km to 21km. The venue has game and a Crocodile farm. R50 per person payable by card as this is a cashless environment. You will sign in electronically and receive an arm band with contact numbers in case of emergency. Pets are welcome as long as they are kept on leash. Other activities include bird watching and mountain biking. The venue felt safe and is quite popular with mountain bikers. All the staff were extremely friendly. Booking not required but I would recommend that you contact the venue prior to your visit as some of the trails are rendered inaccessable after heavy bouts of rainfall. Don't trust your GPS. Once you reach Protea road follow the directions as per their Facebook page otherwise you are bound to get lost. Be sure to try their delicious chicken mayo sandwiches after the hike. You might even spot the baby crocodile that resides in the dam at the restaurant.

I was impressed with the entrance, the setup and professionalism of this trail. Also vast different levels and routes to choose from for the beginner to advanced hiker and runner. It's also well marked. Lots of animals to see as well.

One of the best places to ride if you are in Pretoria. There are multiple routes to choose from, ranging from the shortest (7km) to the longest (85km). There are technical routes and flat ones, and the information boards give you a good idea of which routes to take. The trails are well-kept and the different routes are clearly indicated. The coffee shop offers great breakfast and lunch.

Ai such a pity I didn't go with my MTB, but definitely next time I visit Pretoria Lovely trail to walk with our Dogs!! Trail well marked, Most friendly staff received us... well done you guys customer service you don't always get!! will call again in Sept 2022

Very peaceful! Really enjoyed the 7km hike. Definitely an easy one for all levels. Will definitely go back to try out the other options. Chicken burger a day chops at the restaurant went down a treat as well👍

Good training ground for off road. Had a puntures that could not be fixed . we had signal and phoned the emergency nr. To be picked up. Friendly an very helpfull. There is a restuarant and restrooms are clean with a shower. Will go back any time.....

Was really nice place, so nice after all the rain. We did the 7km hike and even spotted some crocodiles. Really close to Pretoria for a day out. Hiking trails and mountain bike trails for all levels. Can grab some food after at the restaurant right on the dam.

Was great being back on one of the nissan trail seeker rides. Seeing various buck and riding the challemging routes in the mid day heat was intense but really enjoyable.

The trail park is great for a quick family 7km walk. You have to register before you walk. Restaurant was closed think it was due to Covid. Place was quite clean. Service was great and friendly. Think I must return in the summer.

One of the premier trail parks in the northern half of the country. Fantastic trails with something for every skill level. Coffee shop, showers, safe parking.
