We had to wait a long time before the dishes...took 3,5-4 hours to finish a 7-course menu. Nothing was really mind-blowing.Tried non-alcoholic pairing but all the drinks were sweet juice of some sort. We informed them that we are allergic to alcohol and wouldn't want any food with it, but the final dessert came out with strong cognac taste... couldn't eat it. Wouldn't come back again.

Well if you have yet to experience Koka you could do yourself a favour and book yourself a table. Every course was well made, presented, and surprising. Each course had a cheeky taste and texture that left you guessing about what ingredients were used and what method was used to prepare it. The food is local, and each dish is recognizable yet new. Seriously good food. The service was very efficient and personable. The environment was welcoming, tidy, and just uncluttered. We sat for over 3 hours without feeling fatigued. Well worth your time and effort.

Great interior, cocktail and dishes in general. It was a little bit too much green in every dish, but the focus is on the west coast of Sweden so I défini understand the concept. The langoustine was awesome, so was the dessert(s). It’s great to visit Michelin restaurants maybe every six months to appreciate it and enjoy a higher level of cooking and service experience.

This was one of the best gastronomical experiences I've had in my life. My taste buds were flabbergasted! I have no words to describe the flavour and texture of the langoustine. And the pumpkin with chèvre was from another level! A few tiny details that the cockles had sand that I chewed on, although my partner said he didn't feel any. The salon is pretty tiny and people can be super loud. That's on people but I think they could do some improvements in the room. The service was impeccable. The waitress was super friendly and made us feel welcomed and comfortable from beginning to end. 🫶 It was the cherry on top going to this place in our last night in Gothenburg.

I just had an 7 course menu at Koka and it was Ok, perhaps good but not more for the price. The plating and flavours was good but nothing that blew me away hence no photos. I do question the Michelin star. Everything was quite heavy on salt, even the dessert. The biggest let down was crab shells in the crab dish which is a absolutely no no! To my surprise no compensation was given for this, lucky my teeth are still there!

Well, the food was really good. Especially seafood is really well cooked. And all of the plates were having a good sequence. Even though we spent almost 4 hours in the restaurant, we noticed something was missing. I think we did not get so much relaxed feeling, where you dont feel like you are at a restaurant. Welcoming was not good enough and the waiter seemed to be new, therefore had problems at serving and not much explaining about the dish. Food was good but there is room for improvement.

Unfortunately disappointing. The atmosphere was nice although we picked a night when a large corporate party was in attendance. Our waitress was great a real credit to the place. The food however was not as good as it could have been . In my opinion various errors occurred , over dusting with powders, addition of too many herbs masking the star of the dish and my biggest issue undercooking a few items , the fish and the potatoes. I like raw fish in the right dish but we had undercooked fish . Disappointed.

We had the 7 course menu which offered variety and was just right size wise. The bread is excellent albeit a bit messy with the butter melting in it.

I must admit, I had higher expectations for the dining experience. Although the food was decent overall, it was not exceptional as one would anticipate from this type of restaurant. The duck had a flavorful bloodline that was not pleasant and the fish was quite plain. We were served by two waitresses, one of whom was attentive and efficient while the other was not. We had to request additional silverware several times to properly enjoy our meal.

Unfortunately, we were not allowed to bring the dog with us (which is usually never a problem in fine dining restaurants where we live at). We had a four course set menu which was great from start to finish. The halibut and the cod dishes were absolutely incredible and the dessert made out of punch were perhaps the best dessert I have ever had. The service was great as well, even though we were there on vallentines day and the place was packed the food arrived in a timely manner and the staff was excellent. Can't recommend it warmly enough.
