Very delicious Pancakes 🥞 and crispy bacon 🥓. I loved the drinks they have. The servers are all nice and friendly. Plenty of seating. The variety of food is great and I'll be back soon to try more.

Swami's Cafe La Mesa was amazing! It was busy when we went and rightfully so! Their portions of food are generous! I was amazed at how large their acai bowl was and was super jealous I didn't order that! But the Chicken and garlic omelette with a side of homemade potatoes and a side of bread was absolutely a knock out of the park! My wife got the hash-browns and eggs Benedict on English muffins which was equally delicious! The lady who took your orders was super friendly awesome restaurant and suggest it strongly to everyone!

Came here on a Saturday morning for a late breakfast. Thankfully it wasn’t too busy and we immediately found a table. The way it works is you wait in line with a menu overhead. You order and pay and receive a number card. You find any open table to sit at (they have seating outside and inside) and they will bring you your food. We ordered the chorizo hash and an omelette with well done home fries Don’t let the picture fool you the home fries were perfectly crispy and paired well with ketchup and hot sauce. The omelette was also good as well as the chorizo hash. Both of us ended up needing a to go box because the portions are pretty large! Overall love coming here for a no frills yummy experience.

I absolutely love Swami's! We go every Sunday for an acai bowl and waffles and it's the highlight of my week! Reasonable priced, great food, great coffee, and a great place to hang out. The only bad thing I have to say is sometimes it's so popular we can't find somewhere to sit!!

My husband and I got the deluxe and steak Benedicts. We both have had better and thought the food was just OK. My favorite part of the meal was the smoothie.

It feels like such a local place (and you might get stared at by some, too). It is a little odd to navigate if it's your first time. You walk in and order your food from the counter. They have menus in the front or try to read the chalkboard. The counter help I encountered kept saying, "What else?" very quickly after I said my items. Honestly, I haven't ever felt nearly so rushed at a fast food place, and yet here, at a sit-down restaurant, it seems like they are rushing you off. They handed a fork and knife wrapped in a single napkin and off I went to go find a seat in the place. It is spacious, but I can see it getting busy on weekends. They do bring your food out to you but don't expect to be attended to after that. I had to go back to the counter to ask for more hot water. They have another counter with teas and coffee fixings, but it's a help yourself type of station. No extra cutlery or napkins in sight though. Food also did not come out at the same time. We ordered three things and each came separately. The customer service leaves much to be desired. The rating is mostly because the food was good and came in large portions. I had a yummy acai bowl (it has A LOT of granola). The person I was with had a chorizo breakfast special that was large and tasty but very spicy. Last was a carrot spinach juice, which was also yummy.

I always enjoy eating at Swami’s in La Mesa, although their menu can be a bit overwhelming with all of the wonderful food options. I also love the decor. Came here this afternoon with clients and I was so focused on our conversation I forgot to take pictures of the food. They have generous portions and I always take food with me because I cannot finish it all. If you are in La Mesa, stop in and check them out!

Great brunch place! Serving size is huge, though. Almost everyone had to take food home. I recommend the Red Velvet Waffle with Nutella and Whipped Cream. My friends got veggie omelettes, but I was amazed by the large, grilled salmon salad. Would love to try it next time. Very good service.

Highly recommend la Mesa Benedict and the French toast! The Benedict’s Chipotle sauce was very flavorful, but not spicy at all. Eggs were perfectly cooked. Potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. French toast bread itself was not sweet so the strawberries on top provided the perfect dulce touch. The California burrito and the red trolley omelette (the special of the day) were also good. Portion sizes were large for the price. Also really delicious was the Mexican hot chocolate. It was a great balance of slightly sweet and little bitterness. Staff were courteous and smiling. Felt like such a great environment for a delicious breakfast with friends! Would come again!

You want to go to Swami's if you love healthy food in abundant servings! Juices, breakfast foods, salads, chicken, burgers and great fish dishes as well. Avocado melt feels like comfort food. And the Tropical Salmon Salad is my go-to. Get the house dressing and swap the wheat toast for garlic cheese Sourdough toast. They also brew a delicious latte and even have a few beers on tap.

Unbelievable selection of food. Fresh made juice to order, I had a carrot and orange juice that was Unbelievably fresh. Wife had the Swami skillet and I had lobster eggs Benedict. Portions were off the charts. Recommend for a brunch or breakfast on a vacation or weekend outing.

Get the eggs benedict. Seriously it's delicious. Probably one of the best eggs benedicts I have ever eaten. This place is very, very busy around lunch time, so I recommend coming earlier in the morning, especially if you have a larger party. On the weekend at 8-9am there's almost nobody there, but at 12-1pm it's absolutely packed! But it's very worth it given how delicious all the food is.

This place has a great outdoor seating, and a good food of course!👍 My steak benedict hollandaise was really good ... The poached eggs was well poached 😊 Steak was well cooked over a toasted english muffin. Here's the small thing but the bomb... the smooth salsa sauce!! It was a great balance of a salsa sauce should have. All the items on the plate were complimenting to each other... nothing's conflicting like seeing your long-time-no-see-friend in a parking lot. 😄 Banana walnut buckwheat pancake was good too... if you're into a sweet breakfast thing. Coffee options were awesome! Mix 2/3 colombia with 1/3 hazelnut and a little bit half and half gave me enough kick in the morning. Will be back for more.

Swami's is always a great place to meet and artisan type food and drinks. My friend likes the smoothies.

Disappointed. My go to Swamis is in Northpark where I’ve never had an issue. I decided to order my usual - a Lobster Benedict and when I received it, the box looked like it was tossed around and it didn’t include the hollandaise sauce or asparagus that it should come with. Additionally, avocado was added for some reason? the eggs were very over cooked and the lobster was burnt. I also ordered bacon but it was also MIA.

First time coming here and I love the mom and pop atmosphere. Unfortunately, we waited over an hour for our food, my French toast was blah, and I felt rushed. I’m hoping it was because it was a Sunday and it’s not like this all the time. Contemplating on giving it another try…

This place is ridiculously GOOD! Came here with my coworkers for breakfast one time. I got the steak benedict. Wow! The servings were big and the steak literally melted in your mouth. I have been to a lot of breakfast places but this place is one of if not THE best place I've been to in a long time. The service was good, prices are fair especially for the top notch food you get. Even the orange juice was delicious 😋. It was so good, we came back again the next day. The only regret, is that I took no pics 😞.

Great food, love have outdoor seating. It can get busy and the line is long for ordering, make sure you have time to wait for a lil but. Food is delicious and worth it. Dogs are allowed on the outdoor seating which us a huge plus for me and my fur buddy. I didn't get to take pics of food but they have a huge selection of food and you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!

I came here once as a kid and it was good. Now, 20 or so years later, it's even better. It's been quite a while since I'd had such a good pastrami sandwich and the fries were perfectly crisp and fluffy. Good food and service with a classic diner feel.

The best Swami’s out of all the San Diego locations we’ve tried. Not only they have the largest menu and a better variety of food and drinks, but they are also open later in the day and you order at the counter, which we find to be more convenient. We’ve been regulars here for over a year now and despite recently moving to the north county, still keep coming here on weekends. My favorites here are the blueberry coffee and the Lox scramble - the two items that most locations don’t even have on the menu. Always very generous portions and fresh ingredients. In addition, you never have to wait for a table and the service has always been friendly and fast. This Swami’s doesn’t have the “trendy brunch” feel and I don’t believe they have alcohol on the menu, so if that’s what you are looking for, this might not be the place for you.
