The Pinoeers museum in Imperial Valley California is a nice place to spend a morning or afternoon with family, friends, kids or oneself. They also have a variety of historical trains and a historical train station as well. Great place to take photos,in color and black and white-digital or film-and has plenty of free parking! There's also Imperial Valley College directly across the street and is nice to visit and walk around as well!

I attended one of the museum's monthly lectures and really enjoyed it, I didn't even know they had events like this monthly. It's a nice museum with a lot of artifacts of the valley's history. I just wish the museum publicize their monthly events more so more people would know about them

A hidden gem. This museum is home to a priceless wealth of historical knowledge about the origins, citizens, and livelihood in the Imperial Valley. There is an entire second story that can go overlooked, so don't be afraid to explore.

Very interesting with a great variety of displays which are laid out in a logical manner. The interior portion is larger and more diverse than you might expect. There are many pieces for farm equipment and a couple train cars around the perimeter. My only constructive criticism would be to have some attention made to the exterior displays in the form of plaques detailing the item. It was a great experience.

I encourage everyone to come visit Pioneers Museum. The greeter is very knowledgeable and friendly. She gave my group a list for "treasure hunting" items you can find throughout the museum. It is a multicultural place that focuses on the eclectic mix and history of the Imperial Valley. This place is huge so wear good walking shoes. I think our visit was about two hours long as there is a lot to see on two separate levels and historical items located on the grounds of the museum outside. We enjoyed the train and taking pictures at the Holly Sugar sign which is totally Instagram worthy.:D We had lots of fun and will go again soon. It is open seasonally.

I was fascinated and surprised by the diverse cultures (displays represented) that have come from different parts of the world to work or migrate here eons ago.

I only stopped to see the USMC M-60 tank on display around back but it looks like a real nice place. I will have to check it out when I have more time.

This Museum is So full of Imperial Valley History, my Mom's Family came here in the 1930s , my Grandfather worked for a Very Generous and Kind Land owner, Mr Worthington ,I'm very Sad not to see any Historical Items from his Family in the Museum ,he has streets and buildings named after him , I'm trying to find relatives to see if they have anything to share🙏 , anyway this is a wonderful place to check out some interesting history of the Valley🌵

What an amazing place. It was spontaneous after thought to visit. I'm so glad that we did. My favorite part was the rock and gem collection. Very impressive. I so recommend this museum.

My son went to Imperial Valley College across the street from the museum. Awesome place to learn early history of Imperial Valley. Highly recommended.

Quaint but large museum highlighting the history and people who contributed to the history of the Imperial Valley. Many people from many faraway lands built this area, and each nationality’s people are highlighted. Take a look at the collection of rifles, the “National” cash registers and the early telephone equipment; some of the many artifacts on display along with high school yearbooks from the area and other more recent items. Worth a visit.

The Imperial Valley is a collection of desert communities located along the California/Mexico border roughly 70 miles west of Yuma AZ. This facility offers a very thorough display from both an historical as well as cultural perspective. Truly a very attractive presentation. The staff is accommodating, pleasant, and helpful. Most definitely a worthwhile stop for those traveling through the area!

I came across this place strictly by accident.(I missed a turn and was doubling back). This place is under development...and looked really cool. I didn't have time to stay but there was enough outside to peak my interest and make me want to return. Three stars or four if you like, only because I didn't have time to go through and see everything. What I saw impressed me.

We found highschool picture's of my grandma, her brother, and her old friend there! They had an amazing animal exhibit, and also a scavenger hunt for ages 1-12 and if you couldn't find one of them the worker gave a hint. If you found all of them you got a Tootsie Pop. They had cool souvenirs too. 🤗
