Had the most wonderful experience hiking this trail. It is absolutely breath taking and so quite. We took the walk right before sunset. It was a little chilly so bring a warm blanket or sweatshirt. Enjoy the scenery while hand in hand with that special someone. Perfect spot for a Date

Made the hike from the ranger station to no hands bridge. Definitely a little more intense because of the quick descent and ascent. Super scenic hike with lots of beautiful surroundings and views. Watch out for the rattlers! Next up lake Clementine.

This hike is roughly 10 miles round-trip and can get a bit crowded on the weekends. Also is more sunshine than shade so bring sunscreen.

Amazing place to hike, climb, bike, run or do all of that. With the ride in popularity parking is the worst! Best advice is to show up before 7am to get amazing parking near the river and trailheads. After 8am you are gonna be outta luck when it comes to a good parking spot.

Linda was very kind and helpful at the Ranger Station & recommended beautiful trails. Definitely has steep up and down hills, but it is worth it for the beautiful waterfall, flora and fauna. After the slope, the trail is on easy terrain for families, dogs and even horses.

Steep hike from road but so worth it. Such beautiful views, not great for toddlers but older kids would do great.

HQ for Auburn State Rec Area. A few trailheads start here. Free parking unlike areas nearer to the river! Nicely maintained trails with plenty of wildlife and wildflowers!

Great access point to the quarry and western states trails. But the descent is steep as is the climb out so be ready for that. There is limited parking at the ranger station

Stopped here since I was had issues with the breaks on my car when going down hill (was very scary). I was so shaken up but, a very sweet lady named Linda came to make sure I was fine. I found out you can come to this ranger station and get permits for various recreational activities that require them. You can get information on different activities, they have a map showing the different hiking trails they have. It is a neat place to go check out. The staff is great, specially Linda.

Many trails from easy to difficult. Many access points to the river. Close to the city of Auburn off Interstate 80. Home to the tallest bridge in California, the Foresthill Bridge, at 730 feet.

We had an awesome hike up a very steep hill. It was a great workout for me and my wife. There are other less challenging walks as well. We'll definitely go again. There's too much to see in one weekend.

I love hiking in this area. Several trails scattered throughout. Due to the recent storms the American river water level is much higher than previous years and the color is gorgeous. Great place for anyone to spend time outdoors.

Best nearby outdoor place to hike and enjoy a dip in the river. Just be careful some areas of the river have strong currents.

River, rocks, sun, swimming holes, and chill vibes abound. A long, windy ride to the less crowded spots yields emerald waters and blissful afternoons. Bring drinking water and please, for the love of God, pack out your trash.

Beautiful place to hike and you can only hand to pan for gold no tools or metal detectors so I left after a 3 hour drive. I might go back to this place for day adventures hiking and gold panning. There is a $10 day use fee.

The rangers were amazingly helpful, and made the visit to this park such a great experience. I recommend visiting and getting all the help they can give.

I realize the budget cuts, but this service is useless unless there is a person actually THERE. If California can't fund these stations, you should just close up permanently. It's useless the way it is now.
