Beautiful dining space. I was treated with such high respect and immediate service with full attention to needs. Both host and waitperson went above and beyond. I ate the most delicious cuisine amongst a phenomenal selection. I will definitely be returning on my business meetings.

10/10 overall experience. I would sit in their “patio” area under the flowers. Very nice. Can accommodate larger groups especially during the slower weeknights. Make a reservation on Friday or Saturday. We had an app, soup, two entrees, and two desserts and our favorite items were the green Chile soup and the pre-dinner bread and butter. Their bread is really f’ing good. And so is the soup. Everything else we had was really good too but those two things stood out. A great place for an celebratory or birthday dinner. You won’t be disappointed.

A very posh place, you wouldn't expect to find at El Paso. Great service and the food is very high quality. My wife and I had a salad and the Ribe Eye to share and it was enough for both of us, and really really good

Made a reservation two months in advance for Valentine’s Day. They said we could eat from the regular menu or do the $135 per person special. I declined the special. I had eaten here before and had a good experience along with a variety of items to choose from. When I got there the only option was the $135 per person. I decided to go along with it. It was only two of us. So the total should’ve came to $270. Well I paid over $400 because the waiter said the water was a free refill when it wasn’t. Then I didn’t have a choice what to tip the waiter. I was forced to tip 40%. Not to mention they changed the menu to a “valentines menu” and the options were as big as before

First time here. It was truly a fine dining experience with superb service! We were there to celebrate a birthday. From wine selection, cocktails, appetizers, and entrees, Cafe Central does not fall short of variations and / or options. I had an advantage because we were a group, and therefore, I was able to taste several of their dishes. Every plate was flavourful to the taste!!!! Presentation of the plates was on point. There was live music (piano player), and it was not unbearably loud, which is a plus. You can have a conversation with your table and be heard without screaming:). I will definitely be back!

Good food and service despite the Saturday night crowd. We went before 5pm to avoid a wait. We had Chilean Seabass, Scottish Salmon and Airline Chicken dinners.

Food is ok, ambiance is ok, missing aspects of FINE DINNING. Way too EXPENSIVE for the experience and food. For FINE DINNING, Servers unfortunately had their hair down, long nails, aggressive piano player. 12oz Australian STEAK was INCREDIBLE, presentation was sloppy. Sea Bass was bathed in soy sauce, did not taste good.

This was my first time there. We didn't have a reservation, but still managed to be seated quickly. Gorgeous environment and fantastic service. The lounge singer, pianist, and bassist were great and we were thrilled to sit near them. We went there for a birthday dinner for my wife and there were at least 6 other birthdays being celebrated that night. We ordered the escargot as an app. My wife ordered the rack of lamb. I ordered the 28 day aged NY steak. The lamb was incredible. We ordered both of the meat dishes Medium Rare. The NY strip was too tough for my taste and immediately forgettable, but the lamb was, without hyperbole, the greatest I've ever tasted (to include when I lived in NZ for 2 years and regularly had lamb). My wife was eating it off the bone with her hands because it was so delicious. The hazelnut chocolate mousse at the end satisfied my wife and we left feeling that the meal was a great success. We spent $105 on the food only. If you want to impress with amazing food, go here! 5/5 (They don't do this normally, but they had an opera singer present who came over and sang a gorgeous happy birthday song that really set this experience apart. Thank you to the staff!)

The service was fabulous, the food was nice. Cocktail was amazing! Fell in love with the octopus carpaccio. The foie gras that came with my duck was not the best one Ive ever had. Other than that, had a lovely evening. Thank you!

First time visitor and this was quite the culinary experience. The choices of bread were amazing and the chicken was so savory. I didn't particularly enjoy the Chilean sea bass, the fishy aftertaste was overpowering. The service was very good, I just didn't like the room we were put in for the wedding anniversary, it was directly next to what seemed to be a kitchen door and staff were constantly going through it, naturally. But it was very distracting and took away from the experience. Nonetheless, we will be visiting again.

As soon as my wife and i walked into the restaurant the manager profiled us, due to my attire. My wife and I thought we would be spontaneous since we where in the area, thus my attire was casual. I have never in my life been profiled yet alone financially profiled. The manager sat us in the wrost part of the restaurant even though it was practily empty, and received horrible service. The manager would even look at us as if we could not pay for our meal. Little does he know,I make more then him in one month then he makes in a year. I hope this behavior is corrected, no one should ever be profiled. We will never return.

Wonderful experience. We celebrated our 15 year anniversary at this special place. Manny was our server and was very knowledgeable and very attentive. My husband had the aged New York steak and I had the Rib Eye. I made reservations online and when we got there, rose petals were on the table. It was a magical moment for us. Definitely recommend it.

Nice, leisurey, full meal. The menu has a variety of options and wine pairings. Service is prompt and courteous. Fresh bread. Glad I discovered this place. I had their octopus Carpaccio, delicious and lavish. Nice flavor/texture mix. The duck was also very good and nicely complemented. Closed with a crème brûlée. A downtown gem.

My wife and I went to celebrate our dinner anniversary and EVERYTHING was great! The food, the environment, the piano with the singer, the drinks, but above all the amazing attentiveness showed by the manager Kiko at all times was above and beyond. Especially when he knew about our occasion. A true professional! Highly recommended!!!

Amazing!!!! Went there to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and they made it very special. The food, drinks, atmosphere and service ... 10! Make sure to make reservations and let them know if you are celebrating anything. Also, they have a formal or business casual dress code.

Celebrated my best friend’s birthday back in September at Cafe Central and we had a fabulous experience. The food was delicious, the ambience was perfect, and the service was excellent. The server made her feel extra special and went above and beyond to elevate our dinner. The live music was amazing and appropriate. We had the best time.

Fransisco our waiter did a perfect job. We had the lobster ravioli, crab cakes Scottish salmon and the ribeye. For dessert we shared the Tres Leches. Every thing was done to perfection! This is an historic spot dating back over 100 years. For celebrations, it is an El Paso institution and must. We will be back!

If you're a frequent business traveler to El Paso and you're looking for an upscale dining experience, I highly recommend Café Central. I keep coming back to eat here. The indoor tables have a dress code but you can still eat on the patio with the same menu. I have eaten here 3 times in the past year, I have had some standout dishes that I highly recommend, all were quite impressive. Let's start with the rack of lamb. This dish is cooked to perfection, with the meat being tender and juicy, and the seasoning just right. The dish is served with wiped potatoes and vegetables, that perfectly complement the lamb. Next up is the pork chop, I would highly recommend – probably the best piece of pork I have ever eaten. The meat is juicy and flavorful, crispy exterior and a tender center. Equally as good as the lamb. The duck breast was also great. I would recommend ordering it rare (I had it medium rare). The jam and black rice paired perfectly together. Moving on to the salads, the beet salad is my favorite. The beets are cooked to perfection, with a tender and juicy texture and the perfect amount of goat cheese to complement the earthy flavor of the beets. The green chili soup is the perfect way to start a meal. The soup is rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. Extremely unique and delicious, even if you don’t like spicy food. Finally, the bread. The bread is awesome and be sure to try two different ones. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for an upscale dining experience in El Paso. The dishes are expertly crafted, with a focus on flavor and quality ingredients. The ambiance is elegant and refined, making it the perfect place for a business dinner or a special occasion. If you're looking for a standout meal that you won't forget, be sure to check out Café Central on your next trip to El Paso.

I love everything from the rib eye steak to the meat platter. The dry age is something you have to try to understand the passion this establishment takes into its meats. You won't regret any purchase. I recommend to start off some fried calamari with crab cakes. Then for a salad I recommend the baby field green. Just so sweet and tangy. For main entree you can't go wrong with the dry age bone in tender lion.... or a halibut. To finish off get the cheese cake

This was a really great meal. Food is absolutely delicious. The service is a touch slow. I understand it's fine dining, but even then still justttt a touch slow. Staff were all very friendly. The Caesar salad and octopus carpaccio were delicious, as was the escargot. The steaks were out of bounds delicious. Perfect salt crust sear on the ribeye and cooked to perfection. One of the better steaks I've had for sure.

Been here twice and both times were absolutely amazing. It’s a fine place to dine with the price being worth the service and meals. The vibe this restaurant has is immaculate, whether you’re seated outside for a quieter time, or inside for more sound like a live piano in the background, you’re experience will be great. I’ve had so many good memories here, and probably one of the best places downtown. Greta for photos as well :)

I went here on a date. The atmosphere was okay felt more like a cartel restaurant. The food was not “high end” at all. The iceberg salad was mediocre. The lamb was without taste or flavor. I ask for salt and the waiter brings ionized salt packets for lamb ? Haha ...The only things that were on point was the sorbet , tart and bread all delicious and fresh ... please don’t classify yourself as high end when I have travel all of the U.S. and out of and had some of the most amazing food. Broccoli or carrots are not seasonal veggie. If I was a wannabe rich person that want semi fancy I would come here for the mediocre food and service. It’s not worth it.

Always a pleasure coming here. A truly fine dining experience in El Paso. Amazing cocktails, wine, and food is delicious. Service and ambiance are exceptional. I also love that there is valet parking, you don’t have that a lot in El Paso. Of course you must try there famous green Chile soup, it’s not a lot so order it before your main entree.

I thought this place was absolutely amazing. We went here for our anniversary. The staff was all very very attentive throughout the entire dining experience, which I thought was so great. The food was delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection which I was pleasantly surprised by. 10/10 I would recommend.

  • 5/5 Xeperoth 2 years ago on Google
Overall the experience was great. I knew this place was going to be a bit pricy, but the food and the wine all tasted great, the steaks were cooked exactly how it was requested, without being burned on top in attempts to cook the inside more. They have a sommelier here, that was able to help make a decision and suggest the bottle of wine we chose,he knows a good amount about the different wines, as he should. The one thing I would say about this place,is the Cesar salad is not a Cesar salad, although it was good, it is not chopped, they only give you full leaves of lettuce with grated parmesan on it. I would say only get this if you want to cut and chop your own salad. All the desserts are freshly made and very well done.

We walked in for a late lunch and was immediately concerned that we were not appropriately attired. The hostess was very gracious, assuring us that there was no dress code for lunch. The food was delicious and service was respectable. (I did have to wait a long time for a soda.) I had the lobster tacos and it was so good! The accompanying sauces were smooth, tasty and spicy goodness.

Sorry. I think 49.00 for a steak, 39.00 for 3 scallops is not how I choose to spend my money. It was a group, so I went. They had music. Beautiful singer and pano player. Lovely voice. But we had to shout to talk. Service was great. Very attentive, and graciously offered to split the bill for us. But not before two people had to leave and find an ATM to get cash.

  • 5/5 Vazir F. 1 year ago on Google
Upscale dining with dress code. The service is great because of a fine staff. The wine selection is unending, most folks would not be disappointed in the least. We had the seafood platter and escargot for appetizers, followed by individual dishes: scallops, lobster ravioli and salmon and ended with the Chocolate cake for dessert. Your choice for food in El Paso, being in the desert and far as you get from the sea probably shouldn't be ours but if you need a change from steak, this is a great choice. 😋

  • 2/5 Oscar S. 2 years ago on Google
Ordered the 28 day aged New York steak. Unfortunately, it was lacking flavor and the chef overcooks the food. I ordered my steak medium and received a medium well steak with no pink. Had some appetizers that tasted good and the bread is good. Sadly the bread was the most memorable part of our visit. Advice to the chef:. Season the steaks with plenty of salt and pepper. Pay more attention to steak when cooking it. You can't just leave it there cooking while you make other dishes. Multitask more effectively. Don't be lazy. Your restaurant charges too dollar for it's dishes.

First time at this establishment. The staff, music , and ambiance is amazing . The occasion to be celebrated was an early birthday dinner. I ordered the new york steak and when delivered it was semi warm , I requested two sides that never got delivered and when requested after two times I just gave up and enjoyed my dessert, I'm going to say this minor discrepancy was due to being really busy from how I saw our waiter . Which by the way was super helpful and attentive. Had I gotten everything I ordered and my meal actually being hot this place would have been a 5 star. I will definitely return in the future shall I visit, for drinks and dessert .

We had not been here in almost two years due to Terrible service and we finally decided to give it another shot and ended up being very satisfied. Manuel, our waiter, made the experience wonderful and changed our minds as far as our returning experience. He was extremely attentive and very friendly. We will be returning and asking for him as our waiter in the future. We also experienced wonderful service this time from Oscar, the manager. Highly recommend these two individuals!

Cafe Central never disappoints. My husband and I went for our second anniversary and they made us feel very special. The valet was prompt and respectful. The wine recommendation was spot-on! My husband had the duck and I had the lobster ravioli - both were divine in every way. We were too full to partake in dessert this time, so in honor of our anniversary, our waiter gave us chocolate covered strawberries to take home. They were scrumptious as a midnight snack. Never hesitate to go there for a special occasion, or any day you'd like to feel that way!

Bad experience we had our anniversary on 8/20/20 my wife’s food was made wrong, then when they brought out the Pasta Sauce tasted like it came out of a can. While we waited for replacement I ate my food before my wife so it wouldn’t get cold, by the time they brought her food out it was even nastier she didn’t even eat it all returned the plate and I still got charged for it. That’s is why the tip was so small due to food and service being the worst. This made my wife never want to go back. It was actually our first time there we should have gone elsewhere for our Anniversary my wife said she would have ate better at a McDonald’s WE DON’T RECOMMEND RESTAURANT

We celebrate our anniversary and we loved it. Don't know where to start. Well the valet parking is not that cool since parking is literally walking distance, rather walk and look and the building. Not to impress with valet parking. Walking in was nice, atmosphere is great not bright and relaxing tone from colors of restaurant and music. They have live music! Many praise this restaurant as fine dine and maybe 5 star restaurant, but I dislike when people come dress with a t shirt and sandals. Maybe after all its not fine dining. Have we lost our days of jackets and dress and high heels and tucking button shirts? Food! It was delicious, of all we ordered i enjoyed the mac and cheese with truffles. Meat is good and recommend the lamb. They did take a while to bring our food, but I'm assuming it was "busy" or something. The waiter "manny" was truly 1 of a kind, best customer service we've received. Also I like it when ordering meat they bring big fat asparagus. Not some scrawny toothpick looking, @saltgrass, lol. Anyways thank you. Dessert well we couldn't really enjoy and took it to go, they do have a bar and cigars and all bottles are there.
