First time and was underwhelmed. The decor and restaurant looks great. Reminds me of Zinc Bistro in Scottsdale. That was the best part. We had reservations and when we got there we asked for a window table, all which were empty. The hostess declined saying they were all reserved. By the time we left, some of those same tables were still empty. Once we sat down, we waited quite awhile before our waiter appeared. The service that followed was of the same ilk during our stay. The good news about the corner booth they put us in is that we were near the bar and could see our drinks sit there long enough for me to have to go get them and serve ourselves. Once we got the food, it was good. Nothing amazing but good. The shoestring fries were great, as was the shrimp Mac and cheese. The sea bass was good, a bit over cooked, but had good flavor. The mussels and fries were tasty, if not poorly presented. I’ll probably go back and give it another chance. But rather disappointed for my first time and considering the hype around this place.

HEADS UP! If you're trying to get a reservation for FINE DINING here, make sure to call and specify that you want the upstairs fine dining seating. Downstairs is casual dining, and if you try making a reservation through Google they will assume you want casual dining. As for our experience, we had the upstairs fine dining and it was awesome! We ordered a five course meal with wine pairing and it was only about $100 per person. Definitely worth it and we were very full and happy.

Hosted my baby shower brunch at Anson 11 , was the best choice!! From the start meeting with Michelle she gave us a tour of the restaurant and the different type of event rooms, she explained the menu and everything! Michelle Ramirez and Susie were amazing, good energy and very professional! The day of the event everything was very organized! The room was spotless, our server was just amazing!! I have never experienced such a hard worker before seriously! Our server was always checking on me and my guest constantly for their drinks and when it came to ordering the food for our guest it was very organized! The food came out all at the same time, perfect temperature and none of my guest sent back their food! The food and presentation was on point! My guest also loved the flavored mimosas!! It was overall such a successful happy experience for this memorable moment of mine to share with my family and friends. Michelle Ramirez, thank you again for helping us making this happen! Forever grateful!!

The food was well worth the money. However, do NOT get the truffle fries. The portion is tiny and there is only truffle SALT. Otherwise however, the forbidden rice and chicken and mushrooms are fine. This restaurant is very clean and otherwise it is a nice place. Probably #1 place for a lunch in downtown.

Had a great time. Came here for our date night, our server recommended their 5 course meal & we decided not to get the wine pairing & order cocktails instead. Our dinner was terrific, the cocktails not so much. They replaced a jalapeño margarita I ordered for a cantarito but again I was not a fan, but I kept it. I think we made a mistake by not going with the wine. We will do that next time. Our food was delicious and satisfying. Overall we had a great night, spent about $225 for two people including tip.

I finally had the opportunity to try Anson Eleven, I made reservations for upstairs in the fine dining floor. We went a few days before Valentines day, to beat the rush. We both tried the 5 course meal ($75.00 each), and had a very enjoyable time. Each course was explained by an enthusiastic server, and beautifully presented. It was a great experience, however to me it was just too expensive for what you get to try again. Next time I'll order something regular on the menu. We will be back.

The Good: the service is really good, the waitress are friendly and are fast. The orders come out quickly. The food is delicious, and the plates are really big which is good if you have a big appetite. The bad: the chairs are very UNCOMFORTABLE. By far the most uncomfortable chairs I have seat at a restaurant. The tortilla from the tacos was cold, like if they put them on a microwave for 10 seconds

Made a reservation for the second floor dining. The attire was business casual. We got the course menu and it was delicious! It is a very calming atmosphere and was very enjoyable with my date. They also validate parking when you park at the chase building where Anson 11 is located.

One the best fine dining areas in all of El Paso. Service was amazing from the staff greeting you walk in getting seated. Food was great had Spanish Chicken amazing mole sauce highly recommend. Had three of signature cocktails each were unique but carefully crafted, I recommend the midnight if you like watermelon. Also shout out to the floor manager Michelle and serving staff for being on there a game interacting with the tables this is what you miss seeing great service and happy to be there. Energy of the place 10/10 thank you Anson 11 we will be back! Last note try the frito pie it’s amazing the chili is just phenomenal.

Our second time here. The service was very good but the Seafood Medley Linguine wasn’t as flavorful as the first time. Still, overall it was very good dining experience.

Visited during Día de los Muertos festival. Not the idea place to watch the parade. Wait time was not long during early dinner time but it's best to make reservations for late dinner. Service was good considering how busy the area was on this day. Food was good but not as good as I expected. Wagyu burger and flat bread were fine. I wish they would have cooked it to preferred temp. Overall, I was a good place to visit for lunch/dinner.

We decided to try this restaurant as one of the newer ones we havent been to before. Unfortunately, the service was bad. Our drinks were brought to the table one minute before our food and we had been sitting there for 20 minutes already. We had to ask for silverware and bread. I had the spanish chicken and the mole wasnt that great and the small serving of chicken was dry. The risotto was still hard. To be honest the best part of the plate was the broccolini. 🤷🏽‍♀️ My drink was virgin but extremely salty so I had to wait til the ice melted to water it down. When we ordered dessert they only brought out one even though we ordered two and she said she would be right back with the other which I asked for the blueberries to be excluded on after seeing the first one. Twenty minutes later our actual waiter came back and asked if anything was wrong and we told him we were waiting on dessert still and he said it was there until we explained we ordered two and he said it was his mistake so a few minutes later they brought out the other... with blueberries which i just went ahead and picked off. However, after comparing the two tiramisus mine was missing other ingredients. The tiramisu wasnt very good overall because the ladyfingers were weirdly dry. But overall it was a poor experience. My friend enjoyed her seafood medley linguine but said her drink and dessert left much to be desired. 😒 It wasnt very busy for the staff to be soo inattentive. So we probably wont be back.

My husband and I went here for the first time on Valentine's day. We Absolutely loved it! The outstanding customer service, quality care, and attentiveness given by the bar manager, Michelle, is absolutely amazing. She made sure we were taken care of and took the time to explain any questions we had. The service staff was very attentive, polite, and our drinks were ON POINT and absolutely delicious. Lavender. What? A cocktail made with lavender? Yes. Never had it before but it was GOOD. Officially hooked! The food was plated so beautifully and tasted so good. We both savored the short rib and loved the lobster bisque. The assistant GM, Gerardo, was very polite and accommodating. He checked on us through the night. And even though it was very busy, as we were leaving, he got the elevator for us, shook our hands on the way out, and made sure our evening went well. We will definitely be going back!

I stumbled upon this bar while in town to visit. It was late and I wanted to find some light dinner and a drink. Maurice the bartender was more than welcoming and friendly. He provided excellent customer service. He recommended the meat loaf and crème brûlée, both were amazing! Crème brûlée is a must have. The bartender made a mean old fashioned! Overall great experience.

Just had a disappointing dining experience, which is unfortunate since we were hoping to add this restaurant in to our routine. The location and atmosphere is inviting but we were unable to sit outside according to the hostess. We were confused since there were only three tables occupied on the patio at the time. After we sat down, we noticed other people that came after that were able to be seated outside. Fine, we let that go even tho we thought it strange we couldn’t sit outside but others could. We proceeded to order our drinks and food, the waitress was nice. The drinks came out in a timely manner and were the highlight of the entire experience. Food however was a different story, we waited for 45 before we were told that due to an issue they were going to remake our food. Hopefully it was not going to be much longer it turned into another 30 to 40 min wait. Looking back we should have just left but after friends and family recommended it, we thought to give it a chance. Unfortunately we had to rush eating, they forgot my side and brought it with our check basically. We had our two drinks off our bill but expected a little more acknowledgement… especially since we were sitting next to the managers while they are. We were going to try Ambar next week but after learning it’s their sister bar, we changed our plans. Very disappointed only because we were over recommended this restaurant. We will stick to cafe central down the street for lunch & dinner downtown.

Anson 11 is our favorite restaurant for before and after performances at the Plaza Theatre. Michelle, the bistro manager, made sure we were well taken care of the last time we dined here, and we will continue to enjoy many evenings here in the future!

My fiancé made reservations here for my birthday and this was our second time there. The service is always on point. If you are celebrating something or even if you are looking for a nice place to dine this is the place to go. The staff will always greet you and attend to you in a timely manner. We ordered the 5 course meal with wine pairing and let me tell you that everything brought to us was amazing and (me not really being a wine drinker) the wine 100% complimented each plate! The severs will describe each plate for you in a very descriptive form which is always good to have. The 5 course and wine pairing does come with a price but the experience is completely worth trying!

I’ve always wanted to dine at Anson, but I was saving it for a special occasion. The wait did not disappoint. On arrival, we were greeted and escorted upstairs where we sat close to the window. The dining room was beautiful and was pretty full. I definitely would recommend getting reservations. Derek served us that evening and walked us each through a 6-course tasting menu the chef had prepared. As we progressed through each course, the flavor kept intensifying and would top the dish before. Some highlights of the menu included prawn, pasta, and steak. The steak was definitely my favorite course and it was plated like it was on a canvas. The service and food quality was remarkable and Derek, along with the rest of the team, went out of their way to care for us that evening. I’ll definitely be back (and hopefully, more frequently). Next, we’ll be checking out the bistro!

Excellent fine dining experience. I had the prime ribeye and the food was delicious. The staff made sure to make the experience a memorable one. While the dinner is expensive, I think it is well worth it for special occasions.

I went here for my birthday this year to celebrate my 26th birthday with a big group of friends because I wanted to dress up and then go to el Mirador after for drinks. Atmosphere: Anson 11 has a pretty decently paced, yet poised speed to it while hosting a variety of different people leaning closer to fancy than not. The decor is really extravagant with a hint of polished gentlemen as it's muse. I really enjoyed the way it looked but also couldn't help but feel a little squished in with how small the bottom floor is and the amount of tables inside. Food: $$$ The food I got was the black cod which sat on a bed of risotto and small salad. The ingredients were all really fresh and the fish was cooked to perfection. However, there was much lacking in terms of flavor. The fish itself was cooked great but lacked any real taste. The risotto underneath was squishy and just tasted more like a mush to sit the fish on rather than a legitimate compliment. Most of my table also agreed that the flavors from the food were lacking and we are pretty sure my girlfriend got food poisoning that night from the chicken. For that reason, it lost another star. Overall: I probably would have given this place benefit of the doubt and given 4 stars to it but My girlfriend getting food poisoning sent that down. Probably won't go for a while because of that so hopefully they will improve on their cooking. I've enjoyed their brunch in the past which is probably what we will get the next time we go.

Swanky. One of the nicer restaurants in El Paso. Great menu with a lot of tasty options. We sat at the bar so probably got a different dining experience than others, but we had great service and our drinks and food were really good. We want to go back to try some more options.

Alexandra, the bartender was awesome. She was very friendly and made the best drink, the mango cantarito. The food was fabulous. You cannot go wrong with the mussels and truffle french fries. Give it a try.

I was definitely happy with this choice. Great atmosphere and service. I even ordered a difficult mixed drink and they knocked it out of the park. I chose the casual dining for this experience. I will be making another reservation for the upstairs fine dining in the future. The pork tacos have just the right amount of heat and salmon was properly cooked.

Anson11 is the BEST place to hold your special event in El Paso, Texas. We had our daughter’s bridal shower in the Garden Room beautiful and elegant! Susie Quintana, Events Manager had everything in order from the set up of the room, food, beverages and service. George was our server for the event he was outstanding. Nice place food was very mid. Rib eye over cooked and flavor was not good. Took around 2-3 hours to leave this place. Food was taking for ever. And when it arrived it was disappointing. Their Rib eye only had a small portion of meat can’t believe they will put that on a plate. Cheesecake look nice but the granola tasted old. I’m only giving them 3 stars due to their great staff. Overall mid. Don’t waste your time

Was amazing! A few friends went after a long day of work. Atmosphere was nice, lively but not to loud to have conversation. We got Shishito Peppers and Calamari for an appetizer. was some of the most tender calamari i've ever had! the shishito peppers were amazing as well. For dinner we had -A11 Burger, Very good, nice and moist and perfectly cooked. I got it on sourdough rather than a butter bun -Pastrami Melt, said this had been one of the best pastramis they've had -Spanish Chicken, was good but not a repeat. We also got some cocktails - Lavender Mule, very floral and delicious - Spicy margarita, nice and spicy -Smoky Sazerac, coworker loved theirs, but i found mine to sharp. -Mango something? was good enough to order 2! We got a tiramisu for desert. while it was good, it was rich and sweet. It isn't a tiramisu, there was very little espresso flavoring, and it was mostly the coconut from the cream.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would never go again. The server literally only went to out table 3 times. To get our order, drop of the food which was like 40 minutes after, did refill our drinks, then just for the checks( when I hade to go up and ask for then and a Togo box).So disappointed because I was really looking forward so see the hype about this place.

  • 3/5 Christopher D. 3 years ago on Google
I wish I could post two separate ratings. This is the average of a 5 star for dinner and a 1 star for brunch. Dinner was amazing and so memorable, which is what makes it's so disappointing to have their brunch. I got the GREEN CHICKEN CHILAQUILES. It was nachos. Terrible. My partner got breakfast pizza. Middle level. Overall, avoid brunch and go to dinner.

Great place to have upscale service and food in the bistro with a really relaxing atmosphere! Michelle greeted us promptly and escorted us to the bar top where we had some delicious cocktails prepared with precision. EXCELLENT PRESENTATION AND SERVICE! We visited Anson11 that is located in the arts district of El Paso directly across from the La Plaza to celebrate my father’s 66th Birthday. We ordered the Lamb Shank, Baked Pork Chop, Braised Short Rib & Cheese Pizza for the kiddo. Our server Benny was very knowledgeable of all the dishes and was exceptionally attentive to our table. Our reservation was booked online and the table was ready and waiting for us. We will absolutely be visiting this restaurant again.

And it was my first time coming for Brunch on a Sunday at the Bistro in Anson 11, I have to say it was a very nice surprise, first of all service was exceptional and very courteous waiters! We had a reservation for our anniversary, so with everything going on, we were 1 of two tables that were being served. I can say that the service was excellent, she was very attentive and courteous. I wish I could say the same for our meal. For what you pay for fine dining, it was less than desirable. Our steaks were overcooked, but my husband was the only one who sent his back- was supposed to be medium rare, was medium well. They didn’t pay attention to detail in grilling the steaks, sear wasn’t great and the seasoning was ok. Our food was lukewarm, the veggies on his plate were interesting- we couldn’t tell if they were purple potatoes, or carrots because they were crunchy. If customers are expected to pay top dollar, then the food should be exquisite. For a Monday, not sure if the original chef was working, but Anson 11 didn’t have the best one in the kitchen.

Great food for me, I had the sea bass with risotto. My wife had the Flatbread with three meats which was meh. We shared a side of asadero and jalapeño mac and cheese which my wife preferred to her dish. Nothing special on the dessert menu so we skipped it. Sure do miss the busy Anson 11 atmosphere.
