It was very delicious! Filling and Satisfying! I shared the 3 chicken enchilada plate and it definitely was plenty! I got both red and green sauce! Every entree comes with a sopapilla!

Usually the service and food here is superior. However, I would advise against going during very busy hours. My family of 4 arrived on a Friday night (6-7ish) and waited 50 minutes to receive our food after being seated. Other tables of larger parties arrived after us and some received their food before us. When we spoke to the manager/our server, both were unprofessional in handling the situation. A descent apology would have been appreciated, but none was given. Both people only said they would have our food as soon as possible without any sincerity in their words. When our plates did arrive, my mom’s was very cold. For these reasons listed above, I believe the workers become overwhelmed with high volumes of people, so I advise to go to this location during non-busy to semi-busy hours. Thank you.

Haven't been to Leo's for years and last week I ate my Favorite Child's plate good for Everyone even if you're not a kid. The price was Expensive for a child's plate at $9.59, but it was a Great meal!

Super nice people here! We stopped here on a cross-country drive, so we had our dog with us. Even though dogs aren't officially allowed, they put us out on the patio and brought out an umbrella for us to sit out there. They also brought out some water for the pup! Food is good, service is even better!

I honestly love the chili rellenos but my husband got the beef burrito and it was horrible. It was dry and it was JUST beef. No onions, tomatoes, and no other sides but iceberg lettuce. The tortilla was similar to the ones from Walmart. It was very disappointing. The atmosphere was decorated nicely but where we were seated smelled like a sewer.

It’s possible that coming from Houston I have a very different idea of what a burrito is... but this is what I received and was charged over $5 for. No sides or toppings included. Good thing I asked for salsa when picking up the order or else my friend would have been forced to enjoy this as is. I called to verify I received the correct item, which was confirmed. They were nice enough to offer me another of the same “burrito” but I didn’t feel the 10 minute walk in the heat was worth it.

Food is really consistently good here. Is no wonder why it's always busy. Lacking smiles up front when asked how many in our party and was seated. Hostess lady did not want to be there, and it showed. Sat us in a booth by the kitchen and was a bit worried. Almost asked to be sat somehwere else. It turned out to be ok. Nice little decorations and pictures of our local areas from the past and present. Very colorful and vibrant atmosphere. We were promptly greeted by a lovely Spanish speaking waitress. Dressed in what reminded me partly as a Folklorico type waitress dress ( that's what I'm going to call it). Very pretty. Salsa is spicy, really good. Chips are thin and crispy and seemed unsalted (or salted very lightly)... they were good too. Got the Baked Chicken Enchiladas, number 6. I got RED and my buddy got GREEN. Was really good, and BAKED indeed. Plate was very HOT and was warned by the waitress when serving. Really, really good, large portion. Waitress was attentive to our basic needs and others were pre bussing as they passed our table to the kitchen. When they saw trash from our straws and the lemon wedges that were not used at the end of the table, it was taken by a passer byer. I noticed and thought that was cool, thinking this is how it should be done. I could barely finish my plate and still got a sopapilla with honey at the end. It was a nice touch to finish a great dining experience. I'm SO FULL, 😆 I'll be back and will spread the word. Muchas gracias.

Leo’s was such a great place 🌟 for authentic Mexican food 🌮 🌯 😋! And it was so conveniently located within walking distance of my hotel 🏨😃! I came here on a weeknight, was seated and was tended to and served right away 🙂! The staff there greets and welcomes you there right when you walk in 🙂! The restaurant was beautifully decorated 😍 for the holidays 🎅🤶✨🌟🎄🦌❄️⛄️! I was given fresh chips and salsa right away to munch on 😋 while I waited for my main entree! The Horchata and Leo’s taco salad 🌮 🥗 with chicken 🍗 were so fresh and delicious 😋! I was truly filled up and content ☺️! I will definitely come back to Leo’s the next time I visit the west side in El Paso 🌄🌵😃!

Very mellow and calm atmosphere. Lighting and the fact that there's no TV's leads to being able to talk with a lot of issues. Food was decent. I felt that my chicken was a little dry and could have used a bit more seasoning and less lettuce, but overall it was a mellow dish. First time that I had a sopapilla, good with honey. I would come back, atmosphere here alone is worth coming back. Came back and come for the carnitas. They are a must have.

My bestie took me here after picking me up from the airport for a mini vacation to see her. I was really craving some flautas, which came with some refried beans, salad and rice! Food was pretty decent, hit the spot. Service was friendly and quick!

The people, atmosphere and food are all great and delicious!!! That's why they are so busy and our favorite place!!!! Now with the pandimic still going Leo's is only doing take out! This is the first time they messed up on our order! We ordered our usual two carnitas taco plates and they left out our quacamole, but everything else was there and delicious! Please don't let that stop you from getting some delicious take out food!! Here lately since they are still not open for dine in and take out only, they sure have been messing up in the kitchen! They leave out items that are suppose to go with the meal or when you tell them to leave off , like sour cream & jalapenos on the fiesta nachos & it's clearly printed on the ticket, someone starts to put them on a third of the dish before they realize it's not suppose to have them & don't take them off or start a new one!! Needless to say a third of the nachos got thrown out! Not good! If this keeps happening we may stop ordering from them! You were our favorite place but are having second thoughts now!! We may give you another chance after a while & hope you get our order right!!

  • 5/5 Gail S. 4 years ago on Google
Absolutely wonderful food: carnitas burrito and smothered with the green that I requested, delicious soapillas, and great service. I figured the food had to be GOOD when I saw honey containers on the tables. It's my kind of place (and I am snooty about Mexican restaurants). When I return to El Paso I WILL COME HERE again!.

Very good Mexican food. Not outstanding. They serve complimentary chips and salsa for a starter and sopapillas at the end, which is a nice touch. Service was good, but if you go after 5:30, expect to wait for a table. You’ll definitely want to go early. We will go back and try more from their large menu.

My first time in El Paso, other than driving through. I had an amazing dish here that I have not had in any other restaurant in the U.S. or Mexico. I LOVED it! If you are a cheese lover you will see how it is 5 STARS!!

  • 5/5 Jonathan P. 2 years ago on Google
Their food is always so good! The Mexican food has gotten a little commercial, but still delicious. By commercial, I mean the flavors are not as traditional or homey, they are more like almost as if they are out of a can or frozen supply. This is a slightly more pricey Mexican joint I’m town, but at least you won’t be disappointed. Their weekend buffet is pretty amazing and is always stocked up and offers a great variety of Mexican favorites! The service here is hit or miss, sometimes and even at varying times you might have their staff be really sweet and welcoming or even snobby or annoyed. It’s been here for a while, so it is definitely a must try if you’re in town or not sure where to eat. The host stand could use some training on hospitality, as they are the face of the restaurant as you walk in. First impressions are pretty big for me, so I just figured it be something I note for you all. The bar has such amazing selections and some of the yummiest margaritas in town. Good job Leo’s!

I’m not gonna lie this place started off with low expectations, I went with my wife my two kids and my mom and dad and they took forever to accommodate us. To me that seems odd since this seems like a family type of atmosphere, as such you should expect family sized groups, but the restaurant seems rather small/cramped for the amount of customers it is getting, it’s not like there’s lots of free seats but it was mostly packed with gente from all ages and sizes , after what felt like an hour and the host seemed to have completely forgot about us we finally got a seat. So we finally sat down and ordered The pros: the tacos were bomb I ordered the steak tacos with rice and beans, not only was it cheap but it was delicious the chips and salsa is free when you first arrive the price is a steal for what you get on the menu The cons: they charge you for refills on anything outside of soft drinks, that means lemonades and aguas frescas The menu is a lot of the usual traditional dishes and nothing out of the ordinary(but what they do have is delicious) The fajitas were meh, for some reason they didn’t have peppers in the fajitas just meat and onions which I thought was odd Conclusion: the food was great, the wait wasn’t, the price was very fair, this place may need to expand or remodel for the amount of customers it’s getting !

Just give you all a heads up who’s going to dine in Leo’s Mexican Restaurant. The scenario was the server ripped me off $10 hence I gave tips in cash. The total amount we spent was only $32.01, she got 30% tips without my approval. That’s stealing!! She doesn’t’ deserved the tips of 30%. I don’t mind giving tips of 30% if I’m satisfied with the service. We waited for around 5 minutes after sitting down for someone to get the order for drinks. Then waited few minutes to asked the server for the cutlery after the foods been served. It wasn't even busy when went, since it was almost closing time. How is that? Does she deserve for the tips that she got without approval? I spoke to the manager and she confirmed that the server got her tips.Beware customers of Leo’s to check your transaction after dine in. I will never never go back there. #leosmexicanrestaurant.

The food was so delicious! The salsa is by far the best I have had at any mexican restaurant. Wow still amazed. I had the chicken fajitas an they were on point. Juicy, great flavor and a decent portion. I ordered the flan thinking I would snack on it later but finished it before I left. I ate here two days in a row which I rarely do because the food was so good. Try the sopapias when you stop by they are a sweet treat for sure. The pricing was less than I expected for the quality. I would come with my family if I lived in town. The atmosphere could be accommodating for families and also just to hang with friends. I highly recommend this place.

We just had an awful at Leo's. Ordered takeout. They got the order wrong and refused to correct their mistake because they were too busy. They would not let my husband speak to a manager. Horrible customer service.

It was delicious. The chicken Caldo soup was so tasty, the enchiladas were great with plenty of cheese & sauce. The hot sauce made your nose run but we couldn't stop eating it. Highly recommended.

I was surprised by the taste of the food. Very tasty, good variety. Most of the dishes are spicy but not hot, so don't be scared to try the enchiladas or mole if you don't eat spicy food very often. Good service overall. Place looks cozy and clean. Servers speak English and Spanish. I was here for breakfast in a Sunday and there was a wait but worth it. Delicioso!

This is the Mexican buffet you must go to when in El Paso. No other compares. So goddam good- they have Mexican and the American stuff (sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, potato wedges etc...Americans expect that in breakfast buffet but the Mexican food, a low price for that excellent quality. They have fresh fruit that’s a good way to tip it off. And those long Mexican cinnamon sweet stick , I don’t remember if there was a salad bar cause I don’t go for that at buffets. I’m never hungry for many hours after wards.

Bad service for a lone traveler passing through El Paso. But damn good food. You can practically be in Juarez here. Go for the green sauce on your entree; the salsa they put out with their hard chips while you are waiting will have you lit up. Coffee strong.
