What is not to love about this place?! I got the blackened cod tacos that came with blackened rice. The fish was cooked and seasoned well. The slaw that came on them was creamy and crunchy while still letting the fish shine. The rice was a good texture and tasted very nice. They had a small but diverse draft list of high quality beers. Service was excellent and the ambiance was as well. On top of all that, the prices were reasonable. Stop by, you won't be disappointed.

Dear sweet tea drinking southerners: THEY HAVE SWEET TEA!! Taste like home made tea with just the right amount of sugar. I loved the decor and art displayed on the walls. The wood burnt art is from a local artist, and some pieces are for sale. Great place to go if you like an artsy/whimsical decor. The jambalaya was delicious with a good kick to it! Great portions The shrimp scampi was yummy! Not too much garlic and the bread on the side was the perfect touch!

Have been dying to try Macs but always seemed to stumble past the 8pm closing time. Well tonight I walked in at 7:55 and they happily welcomed us in and took our order. The lobster Mac and cheese is absolutely phenomenal! Will be coming back soon 👌🏽!

Ordered the grilled fish tacos and was not disappointed. Seasoned just right and served on the softest tortillas this side of Mexico. Highly recommend!!!

Hubby and I absolutely loved Coming here for the first time this weekend. This establishment is not only amazing but it's a whole Vibe! The decor and art displayed on the walls. The wood burnt art is from a local artist, ( I thought that was pretty cool how they display local art from local artist ) and some pieces are actually for sale. THE COMICS ON THE WALL WERE OUR FAV ❤. Great place to go if you like an artsy/whimsical decor. THE STAFF IS ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT, SERVICE IS 100% HANDS DOWN AND THE FOOD, DEAR JESUS, THE FOOD IS OUT OF THIS WORLD ....JUST BEYOND AMAZING!!!!!! The Ahi Tuna is finger licking good, grilled to perfection and seasoned perfectly!! The oysters are TASTY, BEAUTIFUL AND DEFINITELY MAKE YOU FEEL AS IF YOU ARE AT AN OCEAN SIDE RESTAURANT ❤!! THE SHRIMP TACOS ARE BY FAR THE BEST WE HAVE HAD IN TEXAS!!!!!! Let's talk about the Clam chowder!!!! It was made perfectly, our taste buds were just picking up all kinds of wonderful flavors and we couldn't stop saying " mmm mmm mmmm " .... the warmth of the soup to the big and tasty chunks of clam , lord it was spectacular!!!!! Our Cherry Oreo cheesecake KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK as far as desert is concerned....it was mouth watering and so moist....we even asked the Owner if we could by a whole cake LOL!!! Speaking of the Owner, Mr. Greg..meeting you was Amazing. You are Gem to our community and Such a kind soul. My husband and I are so happy and honored that we actually got to meet you and chat with you at your restaurant Sir. Thank you for all that You do!!! YOU AND YOUR STAFF HAVE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND A JOB WELL DONE!!! YOU HAVE OUR BUSINESS AND WE LOOK FOWARD TO COMING BACK SOON ;) .

Great service, excellent quality food. Love the brick interior and the artwork on the walls. The clam chowder was delicious, as was the fried shrimp. I had the blackened cod, it was cooked perfectly, but missed the point on the seasoning. A bit tasteless. The lobster Mac and cheese was very good.

Fantastic food and service! Made a stop in El Paso along our long road trip and happened to look up food near by and waltz into this place. Soooo glad that we did! We had the daily specials, lobster roll and lobster Mac n cheese. Both extremely excellent! Wish we didn’t live in another state as this would become a new regular favorite of ours.

On a mission to try everything on the menu. Been here a few times already and also orders thru Uber eats, everything is always delicious plus staff is very friendly. P.S. don’t forget to ask about their cheesecake… it’s the best!

Understandably a little pricey with inflation, but Mac's Place in Downtown El Paso has maintained quality throughout their existence. They have a variety of dishes but I behave been loyal to their clam chowder (now with the works) and their shrimp etouffee.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars Review for (MAC’s) Restaurant! 🍽️😋 Oh, my taste buds are still dancing with delight after our incredible dining experience at (MAC’s)! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a memorable evening. Now, let's talk about the food! Every dish was an absolutely delicious. The creamy lobster Mac and cheese was a symphony of flavors, rich and indulgent. The scallops were cooked to perfection, tender and packed with taste. And the tuna entrée?! Definitely a must try!! But wait, there's more! Our waiter, Justin, was simply amazing. His attentiveness and passion for food made our dining experience even more exceptional. He offered the most spot-on recommendations, ensuring every bite was a culinary adventure. Now, let's talk dessert—pineapple cheesecake and homemade ice cream! What a delightful way to end our meal. The cheesecake was creamy with a burst of tropical sweetness, and the homemade ice cream was pure heaven. Our whole experience at (MAC’s) was nothing short of amazing, and we cannot wait to return! Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to indulge in incredible flavors, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommend! 👌🏻✨

Today it was our first time visiting. We were greeted by the staff right away. As soon as we sat down our waiter came over and greeted us! He took our drink orders and asked if we had questions about the menu. He was knowledgeable, patient, and very kind! He checked on us and cleared our table right away of any dirty plates. The food was so delicious we had small shrimp cocktails and shrimp tacos! It was a very nice restaurant with great staff. We will be back !!

Macs had ample space and the space was clean . Our waiter was quick and very attentive ! We ordered a shrimp po’boy, and a cod po’boy , gumbo , shrimp cocktail and the clam chowder . All plates were a nice sized portion of food . Definitely fillers! The gumbo was my favorite ! Spicy and delicious! Filled with veggies , shrimp and sausage on a bed of rice . Both po’boys had slaw on them that didn’t overpower the flavor of the protein . For our little one , a half order of cod and Mac and cheese . Clam chowder I’d say is a bit watery for my liking and the flavors a bit subtle but still good . We spent $82 for all the food and NOTHING left to take home because that’s just how delicious it is , gotta eat it while it’s fresh ! Location is cool , across the street from plenty of different style bars , in case you saved room for a night cap ! Only issue I can speak on was parking , if you go Friday-Sunday , plan to pay $10 to park close or walk some ways unless you get lucky !

Decided to try this place out tonight. We made the best decision ever! Service is outstanding! Food is great! The oysters are probably the best I've had in El Paso. We also tried the clam chowder, shrimp boil, pineapple cheese cake and coffee cheese cake. Everything was great and flavorful. We will definitely be back.

We decided to stop by for lunch while downtown and were amazed by the service, atmosphere, and food quality. Please don't over estimate your appetite here like I did as you will end up ordering more than you bargained for. The food was good and there was a quick turn around from order to food on the table. The staff was very friendly and provided everything we needed. If you're looking for some good, quick seafood options, look no further than Mac's.

Very laid back atmosphere with cool wall art. The server was great. He answered questions about the menu thoroughly and he was very friendly and attentive. The etouffee was very good. The ceviche was also tasty. Would definitely visit again and try something new next time.

Love this place my in-law’s showed me this place with my wife, had the fried oyster sandwich and gumbo! Both were so delicious and fresh tasting. Great for the price and would definitely recommend to anyone!

The entire meal was wonderful! My wife had the grilled combo plate, and it was cooked perfectly, and the seasoning was just incredible. The chicken was the star of the plate, and the salad was spot on, and complimented everything else served. The fish and shrimp were just an added bonus! I had the large shrimp cocktail, which was a mistake, it was huge, very good, but huge. I also had the fried cod with fries, which was also very good. Perfectly breaded, not heavy at all, and incredibly flaky. The star of the show came at the end! The cheesecake is stupid crazy good!!! We shared the Black Forest there, took a slice for home, and decided to take the triple berry and pineapple as well! Thank you Greg, Jorge, and the rest of the staff at Mac's for a wonderful first meal and experience!! We will definitely be back with family and friends! Bravo!!
