AMAZING FOOD and OVER THE TOP service! Wow! I had a green chili cheese enchilada stuffed with a chili relleno! Holy smokes it was delicious!! Hector came out and gave us a tour of their homemade hominy for the gallons and gallons of menudo- even showed us the special ingredient!! The friendly segundo barrio spirit continues to shine through Jaliscos!

Great Veteran owned Mexican Café in the heart of Old El Paso! Excellent Mexican breakfast, lunch, and dinner at very reasonable prices. Menudo is a tasty specialty! Jalisco Café is frequented by neighborhood residents, locals from all parts of town, professionals of all backgrounds, and many other diverse groups. I try to eat there at least once a week! Owner grew up in this neighborhood and is a U.S. Navy Veteran, great friend to all who visit el Jalisco Café. He may even sing a song for you! Make it a point to visit where you are in El Paso, TX.

I sneak in there because I am A EPHS Tiger and I left for the Navy in 1984. I am back leaving in El Chuco and go there to take home my awesome menudo by the ladle. My family on the Bowie side loved Jalisco as well and they love their menudo Go Licon Osos. My spouse lived there a couple of blocks away. And my suegra would send me to Menudo by the ladle at Jalisco. Just amazing great taste cautious of the dry chile powder. The people are always helpful. Specially Navy Veteran Hector is a great person and the Menudo is nothing less than SUPERB!!! THANKS VERY VERY MUCH. Definetly an El Chuco staple. Very respectfully, H. Melchor Disabled Navy Veterano. Hooyah The Journey Continues. Support local. ATM!!!

Great menudo fabulous caldo de Rez , but they need to update their hours of operation w/ GPS - I have a niece that is 8months pregnant & she wanted to eat there. So from far northeast we checked gps, so here we go & they were closed. So sad ☹️🥴

I had went for the free Thanksgiving dinner. It is very kind of the owners to provide by this, and a blessing for those who may not have Thanksgiving otherwise. This was my first time at Jalisco cafe, so I can't give an opinion on their regular menu.

What a nice restaurant. I tried their egg and chorizo breakfast burrito, coffee and menudo, and all of those were delicious. The restaurant people are so nice too. I loved my experience here and I recommend this restaurant to my foodie friends 😃👍

I have been going to Jalisco Cafe for over 10 years. My favorite is getting Menudo on Sundays. Jaliscos' atmosphere is similar to that of your Abuelitas (cozy) and if you don't want to eat there take to go with your own pot. The owner and cooks are the sweetest. Please support this business and its authentic Mexican food.

This is a CASH ONLY! If on a budget and want good delicious food, this restaurant is a must. They have all kinds of Mexican dishes. The Restraunt is clean and feels like home. If you forget to pull cash, don't worry about it they do have an ATM on site. The menudo was great, and the Agua de Mango 🥭 was so good. The people are also so nice.

I had huevos rancheros as breakfast and they had asado rojo as a side on the plate. I had to order a rojo burrito because it was very good and the tortilla was also very good. I recommend this place if you are around the area.

Very good food! All of it is made by the owners of the restaurant down to every sauce. The restaurant is big and the server was very attentive. I usually order the milanesa, but everything from here is made with the most love and passion ive ever seen in a restaurant.

Best Pork Chile Verde Ever: I picked the place out of Google results on my phone while driving from Arizona to Dallas. It was early in the morning and I was planning to get breakfast food. I walked in and the place was cozy and sunlit. I saw a clean kitchen and prep table covered in tons of fresh poblanos, tomatoes, onions and jalapenos, and I figured I was in for a treat. Due to the time of day, they didn't have chile relleno yet, so I ordered the pork chile verde. The lady who was serving and cooking the food didn't speak any English but I managed. While I waited for the entree I munched on chips and the most amazing tomatillo salsa I've ever had, fairly hot with incredible fresh flavors. The pork chile verde brought a tear to my eye it was so good. The ample chunks of meat were fork tender and pink in the middle and so flavorful, and again the sauce was perfect and better than any I'd had. A little more Spanish on my part would have helped though because I decided to order a beef taco at the end, assuming it would be a soft corn taco with shredded beef, onions, and cilantro, but it ended up being deep fried with ground beef and kinda greasy. I'm not sure if that was normal or what she assumed a white guy wanted, lol. Anyway, I didn't hold it against her cause everything else was spectacular. I wish I could eat there all the time.

We went to this restaurant in July 2019. Everything (the food, the service, the atmosphere) was outstanding. My two daughters aged 11 and 16 mention many times how much they would like to go back to this place. Unfortunately it's 20 hrs.away from where we live. I highly recommend.

The service was good and the food did taste home-made. The red chili was good, but salty. The Chile Verde was the kind I didn't like, the one with pink pork. The tacos were dry and tasteless. The only thing I really liked was the Chile relleno.
