I saw them in the food network and they are supposed to be the best. I've been trying to buy from here for several months but it seems like they hardly open. Honestly I'm not impressed. The burrito portion is too small for the price and was mostly beans, it was not filling. The selection was slim, the cashier was pleasant, the person that gives you the food just threw my burritos my way, no receipt nor a thank you from the staff. Not complaining, but not sure what the whole hype was for.. if you are hungry look elsewhere because you will go broke ordering enough to fill you up.

I went at lunch time and they had sold out of all the burritos. Next time I will go in the morning. They only had hamburgers and potato tacos. The tacos are deep fried. They were the tastiest potato tacos I have eaten. I did take one package of flour tortillas. Next time I go I will review the burritos.

The food is always DELICIOUS and the staff is always great and fast. They have burritos, bean tostadas, tacos, tamales, bags of tortilla chips, round tostadas, flour tortillas, corn tortillas, corn taco tortillas, masa for tamales, nixtamal, queso. They recently started accepting debit/credit card payments so it's a lot more convenient now. Get there early though, they run out of food by 10am. If it's tamales I'm craving I always call one day in advance to let them know how many and at what time I will pick up the following day.

Was eager to try this place out due to it being featured on a couple of food shows. Unfortunately, I was heart-breakingly disappointed! The burrito portions were tiny for almost $5 a pop and the beans were so salty the back of my throat stung. My mouth felt like I had poured salt in it straight from the shaker. So bad I had to stop after two bites. To make matters worse, the cheese was non-existent and the tortillas had hard spots and tasted like they were a day old. I wanted to like this place, but you can get much better burritos at tons of other places on either side of the border for half the price. All hype, no substance.

Customer service is good but food and value not so much. Unfortunately I have to say that the burritos are overated and expensive, they are descent but not GREAATT! They are too hot and spicy (heartburn), very little filling, tortilla undercooked and the burrito is very small for the $3 dollar price. SO FAR, FOOD CITY (FOX PLAZA) IS STILL THE BEST BURRITO/TORTILLA PLACE ON MY LIST, THEY ARE LOADED, EXCELLENT TASTE, QUALITY, PRICE, AND VALUE AND LOTS OF VARIETY TO CHOOSE FROM, CHECK THEM OUT. La Colonial's tamales are descent but too spicy, very small, and have an overwhelming taste of lard. Too expensive at almost $2 a piece. SO FAR EL DORADO TAMALES ON ALAMEDA/NEXT TO CHASE BANK ARE THE BEST, THEY ARE LOADED, ORIGINAL, TASTES EXACTLY LIKE THE ONES FROM CHIHUAHUA AND PRICE IS A BARGAIN AT $1.30 EACH, JUST MAKE SURE TO ASK LADY FOR FRESHLY JUST MADE TAMALES. La Colonial Tortilla Factory is very clean, and employees very very nice and courteous but food and price not so much as praised.

After hearing, this was on diners, drive-ins and dives, my wife and I were excited to go there. Ordered the brisket tacos and something had a burnt taste to it, I think it was the oil. I don’t expect I would go back. They look delicious.

Was introduced to La Colonial in 1986 and being heart broken when the owner (mother) passed away. The sons continued to keep the receipes as i remembered and loved. I went today and had the Chile Colorado burritos, which I was so disappointed to taste a different flavor. It is nothing like all of years I've so loved. Please go back to your Mom's ORIGINAL receipe. I'll go back in a few weeks and hopefully find that great tasting burrito.......again. Whoever decided to change the original receipe, made a HUGE MISTAKE. No longer that great tasting Chile Colorado. Please let me know when you do. I would love to continue going to your establishment.

What a theft of money! Yeah the food is tasty no doubt but seriously 4.50 for a picadillo burrito?? You can close your index and your thumb around the burrito. That's just not right you get a better buy at Delicious eatery. Both are tasty different seasonings but it's no longer worth it to go to Colonial. We hadn't been there in years and we played $40 8 burritos Had they been well served in proportion it would have been OK but like I said you can wrap your index finger and your thumb around the burritos that's how thin they are. I truly am very disappointed

This its in an industrial part of town. There's nothing fancy about it. You can get fresh burritos made in front of you, which were phenomenal. We got there right before Thanksgiving and they were making tamales for the holiday you could order. And we did! They're amazing.

This place is a secret El Paso tradition. You must get there before 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. to get the best quality burritos in the city! They make them right in front of you and their quality is second to none. I recommend the chili con queso w/ frijoles . top notch!!

Best food I've found in El Paso. Deep fried brisket tacos, chile rellenos, burritos, chile con queso, wedding cookies. To-go only. They sell out early, but you can order a day ahead. Excellent!

They only have burritos now (they still sell tortillas and stuff) but I came for the brisket, bean, tostada's man. And now they don't. Sad thing I'll never come back.

Food is good but the burritos are the size of a Taco Cabana burrito, for 4 dollars It's not worth it

The chili con queso burritos were good burritos in addition to the brisket tacos with chili cheese and rice

Ground beef and potatoes tacos are to die for and tortillas are pretty good. Salsa has a nice kick to it. Great people and food.

When the craving hits and you need that fix for some good Mexican food this is a must. The service has always been friendly and they truly care about your experience and food. Thank you for making a good training even better with the burritos. This picture does not do you justice, but it was a after thought when chowing down.

I got food here a couple of times and both times the people were courteous and friendly. They even remembered me from the first visit. They have a great variety of delicious burritos and their tortillas are way better than anything you get from a grocery store.

Busy but worth the wait, brisket with queso is the go to burrito. Must get the tostadas and some tamales. Overall really good 👍

Personally, it's one of my favorite spots. I love their picadillo burritos most if their burritos are 5 dollars but let me tell u they are worth it usually by noon or before noon they are sold out

Shout out to Steve Vasquez and his staff for supplying probably the best burritos in El Paso! The authentic Mexican flavor is present with every bite! You can't go wrong with the chile relleno burrito!

This place never disappoints. You know what it is so there isn't much surprise. Their recipes are 100% the same every time. Been the same great tasting burritos and tacos for about 20 yrs. Long live La Colonia!
