Passing through EP and decided to ha e breakfast at Lucy's. So glad we did! I had the French toast with eggs and bacon. Amazing! The French Toast was the perfect thickness and paired well with my coffee! My husband had the Machaca Plate and was very satisfied! Coffee was pretty good as well!

Best Mexican food I've ever had. The side of the road diner feel adds so much to the experience too. It's nice being able to see them cook your food. The people are super nice. The seasoning was next level too.

This was really a great breakfast. You have to look closely as we drove by it not realizing it was tucked into the Budget Lodge. The Machaca plate was really good. Full of flavor and they make their Machaca in house. It was covered in Queso and there were refried beans, hash browns and we took them up on the offer for tortillas and salsa. You know the salsa was homemade....we watched them prep veggies to make a new batch! My husband had the Mexican omelet which was flavorful. Prices are reasonable and the service was fast. The coffee shop is tiny - counter seating only. If you want a little hometown diner, then this is a good stop!

5 star breakfast! The service was friendly and it’s all counter seating which is cool. The food was delicious! I tried the Machaca plate because that’s what everyone was talking about, and it didn’t disappoint. Very good food!

Delicious little counter spot. Amazing authentic affordable breakfast! Chilaquiles and Huevos Rancheros were both incredible. Coffee was ok but food made up for it.

Very unique dinner, that merges American Dinner Experience but has traditional mexican breakfast with an american twist. The people at the other side of the counter are super nice

Great place to eat, good prices, good selection, different food from the rest, different taste, but I really like the Lucy's cafe on the the northeast, there taste was awesome, Jose was an awesome server, it's a little smaller cafe but over all it was great, and it's worth the drive. You want something different try Lucy's cafe, you like it and wanna go back.

My boyfriend and me ate here after going to Savers. We don’t ever go to the westside that often but when we were there we saw Savers and stopped and then found this little diner. The food was good and not expensive and the staff that tended to us were exceptional. We got to meet the owner and he was amazing which explains why the staff is that way too. He’s involved and the whole atmosphere was great! You’ll see us there again

This is a slice of heaven in El Paso. I love this place for breakfast as the food is amazing and the atmosphere is top notch. However, they brew the coffee in the same brewer that they brew the tea and they taste like each other.

We needed to eat something fast as we were on our way to San Antonio Texas and Lucy’s exceeded our expectations! It was soooo delicious we wanted more. It was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a long time, we 100% recommend!

A tad small and thus can feel a bit cramped, this place feels very genuine and homey. Diners like this are always cherished establishments of their communities. I wouldn't rank the Antonia Tacos as the best in the city like I've seen in online discussions, but the food did feel home cooked and authentic.

Amazing food and staff!! They made us feel welcome and fed us delicious food! We were traveling through the area and decided to go here, so glad we did because it was the best meal of our trip! Would highly recommend to others!!

MACHACA BUYERS BEWARE. This was my first time here and my first Machaca. I ordered it because of the rave reviews. My eggs and Machaca were smothered in a yellow cheese sauce that hid any and all flavor. I was very disappointed. I think it would have been tasty without the sauce.

One of my favorite places of all time, since I stumbled upon it 15 years ago. Lovely ladies working there. Nice morning light, very old school. Best chilaquiles!

  • 4/5 Reshma T. 5 years ago on Google
The food is delicious, however there is a long wait to be served once order is placed. The space is very small inside, so you will be lucky to get a stool during busy hours. The two ladies who work there are nice, and you get to see how your food is prepared right over the counter.

This is a great spot if you are looking for a quick and tasty breakfast. I had the chilaquiles rojos and they were delicious. The cook and server were very friendly. Great local breakfast spot !

I had a really nice time here. It’s not fancy - mildly dirty, simple food, good prices - but the food was great and the ambiance even better. I got there right as it opened and was the first one there. By the time I finished the place was nearly full. I’d recommend it here and would come back again if I’m in the area. This is a place for the people.

Exactly the kind of spot I wish was still more rampant where I live, but sadly, now just a distant memory of a bygone (better) past. The service here was second to none- such incredibly warm, genuine, caring people running Lucy's. The food (we did breakfast) was stellar! My breakfast was filling enough (ask for their homemade hot green salsa!), but the fellow running it (whose smile could brighten the cloudiest day) prompted me to get a pancake, as the lady working the griddle was apparently a master at them, and while this put me over the edge in terms of fullness, I did not for a second going for it- perfectly cooked, moist, and fluffy! I cannot wait to visit on my next trip!

RATING 1 STAR FOR AMBIANCE. Sitting room on a bar stool only. I recommend take your food to go. This is a busy, Little hole in the wall on Mesa that has been around for years. Open Monday -Friday. Good place for cook to order breakfast and burritos. Staff is very nice.

Great local small mom and pop spot. Went in for breakfast and was greeted immediately. Food is prepared right in front of you on the grill and service was very fast.

Slow as heck, but very friendly if you speak Spanish otherwise forget it. The food was good. The inside you can tell it is old, kind of dinghy. If the cook did less talking, you might not have to wait forever.

Small diner but with a lot of good food and good vibes. A lot of regulars come here often and I don't blame them. The green chicken enchiladas montadas (over easy eggs on top) area incredible. The machaca plate is also delicious. The chilangas are good, too! The cook, she's very sweet and a fantastic cook. I highly recommend this hole in the wall.

Amazing food, great prices. This is the definition of a hole in the wall, and the food is AMAZING. Get the machaca breakfast is the best.

I loved the home town feel of this diner. The food was quick, surprisingly cheap, and most importantly it was delicious. The staff were wonderful. I wish I weren't only passing through so I could eat here more.

Hidden gem in the lobby of a motel. Maybe does not look like a treasure but it is! Try it!! Also great customer service ?

It was excellent. Hadn't been there in over 15 years, at least, still awesome service and taste. Those so called places hole in the wall places are the best. Definitely in this case. Loved it.
