It is a beautiful hotel/ restaurant/ bar. The decoration its great. It just make me feel at ease and like home. I had couple of beers at the bar and enjoy my time in there. The bartender was very attentive and recommend some mix drinks. The music also was on point, I felt relax and in a good mood during my time at the bar. The prices are a little bit high but its worth it. Totally recommend this place.

the fusion corner of this elite hotel, is an art gallery itself somehow. Adore the fact that the "Taft-Diaz" is where exactly beneath the high-ceiling, the sun shines and reflects in when you have your lovely weekend brunch 🌞 Definitely have to order their Avocado Toast, the best I've ever had, but not their Brunch Burger 🍔 😅 One thing for them to improve is their waitressing service, don't come too often for credit card 😃

Stopped by for a drink and a quick bite. Got a dirty martini which was pretty good. Then ordered the "Mexican Butter" . OMG. Bone marrow, you get 3 bones and 3 tortillas. I had some bone marrow before but this was the absolute best I've had so far in this city. The only bad thing I'd have to say about my experience is that I couldn't fully express my full O Face each time I took a bite. I felt everyone was looking at me every time I picked up a bite. It's almost as if there was some improper PDA occurring but nothing was improper I can tell you that. This is one of those dishes that warrants a proper O Face. IFYKYK!💯

I have come to Taft Diaz on 3 different occasions; 2 for lunch, and 1 for breakfast. I have never had a less than wonderful experience! The food is amazing, seriously. And the service is fantastic as well, so attentive, nice and happy. I would highly recommend coming here! I've tried the chilaquiles divorciados, and the lunch combo that comes with soup, salad, entree & dessert. The corn soup is amazing, the tomato soup wasn't my favorite because it had a strong barbeque flavor, the caesar salad is delicious & the burger is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Do yourself a favor and come here! You won't regret it.

Awesome! Outstanding cocktails and great service, the bartender was awesome. Recommend the mezcal Negroni. The tacos were good upscale tacos.

My friend and I reserved for dinner last week, though I must say there were several things we were not expecting. I liked their dinning area, and I did see it was clean, organized, modern and a touch of singularity surrounded with beautiful art all around it. Let's talk about the food now. When Oscar (our waiter) provided with the bread which was good along with their cannela butter, gave us a broken plate. This is something I don't actually accept at any high rated restaurant, it is disappointing, I did not bother to return it back, my friend and I just took the piece of bread while waiting for our entrée. Now the dish that I ordered which was Ratatouille, was something rare to explain, I would leave that dish up to your opinion, though the mushrooms I feel is the only thing I can feel secure to tell you, they are out of this world, loved them. But overall 3.5 stars would be my rating.

It's a beautiful and elegant place. The food was good. Service was great. But the elegance and beauty of the place won my heart. Also the food is quite affordable. Overall, a good experience.

Oscar, our server, was incredible. He was knowledgeable about the food, wines, and cocktails. It was by far one of the most refined and delectable meals I've had in El Paso in a very long time. Treat yourself and check it out!

This place has ruined avocado toast for me- no where else will I find such a perfect breakfast. Every ingredient was amazing and thoughtfully prepared. Coffee was delicious, bacon was great, perfect poached egg, and the server was super knowledgeable and nice. Quiet and relaxing dining room, can't wait to go back.

My husband and I went here for dinner based on a friend’s recommendation. It did not disappoint. The restaurant was quite lovely. Our waiter, Francisco, was fantastic and the food was all five stars. A delicious treat for your mouth.

To begin the host and food really saved this reviewndue to the professionalism and quality. Being on the border it is hard to see spending so much for tacos, but the absolute delicious and presentation of these artistic delights were well worth it. Several variation were tried on the reduced menu. Unfortunately the table service was not anywhere close to the level that was expected from the onset of the host in setting the time of the visit. Drinks were always late, with no follow up but two waitresses that had a total of 3 tables so being overrun was not an excuse. Also the lack of dress code would have helped the already great ambiance and this well laid out restaurant design. Servers should be held Tina higher standard and know the menu and not offer dessert when it is not available.

The decor is beautiful and contemporary/trendy. Our server, Renee, was very knowledgeable about the offerings and engaged in an in-depth conversation with my colleague about whiskey - making numerous recommendations and receiving input as well. The tacos were gorgeous and delicious. My favorite was the Pork Al Pastor but Renee’s recommendation of the Tempura Artichoke Taco was a close second. The cocktails were also pretty good.

I wasn't able to give Taft Díaz a chance for lunch or dinner, but from what I experienced for breakfast during my 3 day stay at Stanton House, their breakfast menu was subpar. The breakfasts plates are over priced ($14 for each of the entree photos shown) considering they don't include the side and the small portions. The fresh squeezed juice was amazing, but the taste of the entree was only okay. Hope to be able to return to try lunch or dinner for a better experience

My wife and I stayed at the Stanton House for Valentine’s Day. Due to the winter storm that blew in, with all the snow and wind and ice, my wife did not want to go across town for dinner in heels and a mid-length dress. Alexander, the General Manager, worked with the staff and was able to get us a table for dinner. We opted for a lighter dinner, as we’d had a heavy lunch and wanted to try as many things as possible without feeling like we’d over eaten. Chef de Cuisine Jorge Ortiz saw us debating what to order. He kindly came over, asked us what kind of things we enjoyed, and made astute recommendations that we followed - braised beef and suadero tacos. We also had the Mexican butter and the chocolate heart for dessert, along with the raspberry rose’ spritz. Everything was absolutely outstanding. The service was great, and we really appreciated the efforts of all involved to make our night memorable.

I'm going to start with the positives. The drinks were great and so was the bread and butter they first serve you before your meal. My meal was so underwhelming. They smoked or charred the lettuce and it honestly tasted so awful. The prices on this menu are expensive, so I expected at least a decent meal. Please take that lettuce off the duck breast entree, it really tastes awful. It doesn't make sense. I hate to leave a negative review, I really do but it's the truth. My partner that was with me didn't enjoy her food either. For the prices you all charge, the food should at least be decent but really it should be great.

So good! Drinks? Amazing. Food? Amazing! If you’re looking for a place to get drinks and a bite to eat, Taft won’t disappoint.

We went for a date night the food is pricey for the portions they offer for the duck. I ordered the steak and came with fries the fries where super salty that I couldn't really eat it. The steak was ok nothing special. The duck was good but felt it needed something else to complement the dish. The octopus chicharron was really good wish it had more octopus than potatoes. Staff was great welcoming and attentive. Atmosphere is relaxing. Food ok. I had better..

Had dinner at this establishment and was impressed with the flavor and overall experience at the restaurant. Cocktails are well prepared and there is an art gallery on the second floor with local artist that adds to the unique atmosphere. Very well thought out ambiance. Lastly, customer service was excellent, friendly and informative. Great place for special occasions, dinner date or an out of the ordinary experience.

Really enjoyed dinner at Taft Diaz tonight. It’s located in the Stanton House Hotel downtown. The service was warm and attentive, and the food was excellent! The ambiance was very nice too….relaxed and easy-going, but trendy and chic at the same time, complete with individual jellyfish chandelier lights that descend and ascend 30 feet into an opening in the ceiling to the beat of the restaurant’s music. Highly recommend.

Think of this like the cafe restaurant cum bar in a trendy art gallery or niche musuem. Supposedly Stanton House, in which Taft Diaz sits, is a boutique hotel but actually its not especially good at being a hotel. Mostly its an art installation inside an architectural experiment. Which is fun, if not super practical. Food is good, although coming in overpriced very bijou portions. Barman is cheerful and keen.

About the best fine dining in El Paso hidden in a hotel! Been twice on with travel the last couple years, both times were perfect. Great plating and presentation and atmosphere. Excellent service as well. Great drinks too. It's a must!

Had a fine dinner here the other night. Pleasant atmosphere with good food. I thought service was a bit slow, but there was a large group dining as well. Bread and butter were good. Mexican butter is a must order - not something you can get anywhere. My NY strip was OK, I wouldn’t order it again. Probably the best fries I’ve had in my life. My girlfriend liked the pasta.

Post shutdowns, it's refreshing dining at restaurants that are proud of their craft. Everything from service to inspired recipes, they delivered. As a tourist, I look forward to my upcoming trips and making this my regular spot. Keep up the great work, guys!

Had one of the best meals of my life here. Exquisite. Pricey but worth it. Took a chance, splurged with my boyfriend, and it paid off! All the food was beautiful, the environs are warm and cozy, and he even commented that the kitchen staff didn’t look stressed out like in most restaurants, but seemed to be enjoying the job! Lovely experience.

The food and drinks were amazing. The wait staff were attentive. My wife and I were there for date night. Perfect timing for dropping in to ask about more wine or drinks. The only thing I would mention is the scallops were a little over priced for three. Don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But only three. It wasn't enough to give a 4 star review. Everything else, perfect. Have already recommended it to others.

Had a delicious meal and great service by Desiree at the Taft Diaz. The Bloody Mary was amazing and the burger was hangover worthy. The avocado toast looked incredible stacked quite high. And the pancakes practically melted in your mouth. But the Bloody Mary was truly the centerpiece. Spicy and dark with Worcestershire it stayed with you yet wasn't too spicy. Everything was excellent!

The Japanese wagyu was far and away the most impressive piece of beef I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and stunningly flavorful. As always, the service was excellent as well.

Went to dine with friends on a Friday night. The staff were friendly and polite, the dynamic of the dining experience was nice as far as presentation, however the actual meal was mediocre. I ordered the Cheese & Provisions as a starter, it was mid. Meatballs were not even warm and tasted no better than a hamburger helper. Caesar Salad with the Salmon was okay, the Salmon was cooked to a crisp as requested. If you want a real dinning experience with exceptional taste go to Cafe Central.
