I have the biggest respect for the history and current Border Patrol. They work harder than any other LEO agency and deal with policy changes every 4 years . This museum is a wonderful tribute to all the fallen as well as all the history that has come from the criminals entering the US

Love this place..great history here..not just from the area but all over the country. Free to get, but leave a donation if you can or buy something in the gift shop(back right corner). Lots to see.

I really enjoyed all the good information. It was well layed out. The staff was extremely helpful. I could definitely spend hours in there. Such a great way to remember a great agency. Thank you to the men and women who serve or have served. Thank you to the people who donated their time and money to make this place a continuous reality. You have my respect and gratitude! You have more support than you know.

I stopped in here to see how my tax dollars were being wasted, but i was floored that this is all donation run and it is an AMAZING amount of learning packed into a little building! Not just about the border with Mexico, but also Canada and beyond. A lot of great exhibits and donated items from agents, cars, helicopter, plane! I have recommended this place to many people now! Amazing stop on a cross country trip!

Great place filled with love, memories, history and honor. I love the fact that is free and open to everyone. This place is ran and funded solely on donations. Took my family and we all enjoyed it.

Great little free museum. They have several displays both inside and outside showcasing the history of the United States Border Patrol. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. They have displays showing vehicles, uniforms, equipment and various other pieces of the Border Patrol. This is a sure fire way to learn something new and get out of the heat for a couple of hours. Perfect for all ages!

I didn't go in. I went behind the building to admire the poppies along the well-kept pathways.

Privately funded museum that tells a very one-sided version of history, glorifying cruel and racially-biased treatment of people in crisis. Takes credit for “border patrol ingenuity” (read: expensive gadgets paid for with taxpayer money that essentially hunt and capture human beings) while conveniently failing to take accountability for the blatant historic and ongoing abuses of human rights committed by the agency. Can’t in good conscience recommend this museum.

It's a small place to stop by when you are in El Paso. A lot of things to learn about border patrol when this country is being wide open to the illegal aliens.

It was really interesting to see the history of how the border patrol came to be, and it's progression. They also had a variety of flags, vehicles, weapons, awards won by the border patrol , a gift shop, and contraband taken. The staff was very courteous, and helpful. I would definitely check this place out if you have the time

Worth an hour of your time to check out this museum. The best part is seeing the different vehicles they used in the past. Interesting stuff all around and there’s a half-decent nature walking trail right outside the door. Admission is donation-based so bring the whole family!

A very well put together little museum that gives a good history of the Border Patrol. Entrance is free but they survive by donations. Well worth an hour or hour and a half of your time.

One of the best exhibits I have ever seen. A BUCKET LIST must! The men and women in this highly dangerous JOB are truly American Heroes and no place showcases their greater Service and Sacrifices than the National Border Patrol Museum. These are unheralded Front Line Defenders here on American Soil. I highly recommend seeing this place. My words cannot truly tell you what you need to know and see better than for everyone to visit this place for yourselves. The "HALL OF THE FALLEN" is one of the most humbling, most moving, most haunting, and most endearing experiences of my lifetime. I will always pray for them and their families ...by the living breathing James Brown

This was way more interesting than I thought it would be! If you have the time it is worth checking out. It's not very big and doesn't take too long to go through... and it's free!

This museum is so unique. The history of the border patrol is not broadcast as much as it should be. The people involved with the border patrol are definitely not acknowledged enough. It's definitely worth a visit. Even though it is free, please take the time to make a donation.

Very well organized, and clean. The vehicles were school, but my favorite are was the chronological order displays, with facts from the time periods and missions they focused on at those times. You only need about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how fast you read. Very nice stop.

Did not realize this was the National Boarder Patrol Museum when first discovering this. It's an educational little detour that you can spend an hour up to several hours learning the history of everything they do which is much more than we give them credit for. Thank you for your service and sacrifice!

Great tour of the border patrol museum, learned the history and its importance. Very well done and something for everyone.

Very impressive; at first glance this museum doesn't look like it has the vastness or depth that it definitely does. I was transfixed by the preservation of the artifacts, some of the seized artifacts show the desperation/innovation of immigrants. I was pleasantly surprised to see some peerage artifacts of Canada "Mounties"

If you are in town this is worth seeing. This is not an all day trip, but it is packed full of border patrol history and memorabilia. As another reviewer noted, this is a fantastic way to learn about the men and women who protect our borders. The museum is entirely privately funded so make a donation when you go!

We happened across it and decided to go inside. It was a good learning experience for my family and me. We saw many forms of transportation and equipment used to guard the many borders of our vast nation. By air, sea, or land while traveling over snow, desert, mountains, or water dedicated men, women and their canine partners have sometimes paid the ultimate price to keep our borders safe for nearly 100 years. If you like to read, try Rin Tin Tin.

It is a great free museum in Northeast El Paso. The museum is funded solely off donations, so consider bring a little cash when visiting. They have a few vehicles and displays that patrons can sit in and enjoy. Alot of information about border patrol on the Northern and Southern borders.

What a wonderful hidden gem!! We learned so much about the history or the Boarder Patrol. Grateful to the men and women who protect our borders and look out for America. Learn about the animals that serve as well. This museum is free to tour, but donations are appreciated! The attendants are always willing to answer any questions and are very informative. A must add on your visit to El Paso!!

This is a nice little museum packed with interesting displays. Though small, the building is full of items and displays explaining the work of the Border Patrol Agent. I would never visit a Museum dedicated to housing the horrors of human degradation, segragation, and exploitation being presented as an answer to controlling natural human migration.

  • 5/5 Jennifer W. 4 years ago on Google
Enjoyable and educational. My kids liked both vehicle displays, one for the border patrol agents and the others for the drug smugglers. There are several touching poems in the museum, some are located in the memorial display. The dog posters are interesting to flip through. There are interesting exhibits concerning weapons and contraband too. It was worth the visit.
