My significant other is pregnant with my child at 26 weeks and five days with one “passed” twin still remaining in the womb. Twin A passed at 18 weeks so twin B is still full of life regular heart beat of 155 and so on. She noticed bleeding last night with cramping so we decided to call the specialist, which is closed on weekends so we stopped in on the third floor to get checked at 1pm… we waited 2 hours for a “sheeted” room not an ACTUAL room, then proceeded to wait for any kind of test or anything….. we got an ultrasound with the vaginal probe which caused more bleeding and contractions, so in turn started suggesting that not enough water had been drank and it was caused by dehydration….. she hadn’t ate since 2 30 due to the trash of a cafeteria they call a cafe being open for only 1 hour at a time then closed for the rest of the day …. So they decide to put an IV in…. She was poked four times before actually finding passage with no remorse …. Then the birth chart monitor was constantly being pressed and pushed on her belly, so they could find twin Bs heart rate, repeatedly pushed without any recognition of the remaining twin….. it is now 10:06 pm and we still haven’t received results…. My significant other has been poked 4 times, continues to bleed clots and is pale from lips to eyes…. This is so uncomfortable to watch knowing the facts and all the miscommunication that happens here, with still no results…. This is unacceptable

I am grateful to everyone at the hospital my loved one was treated with great care and kindness I would always recommend this place to the highest level there's been two occasions were my loved ones get operated in this hospital and the level of care compassion treatment is elite the nurses are great everything's on schedule the doctors are great the beds are great the restrooms are clean the rooms are very spacious the food is served like a five-star restaurant the building is kept with security in the front visitation ends at 8:00 p.m. after that if you stay in the building you can stay with your loved one overnight but once you go outside the building you can't enter back because the doors will be closed there's a TV there is no words to express my gratitude I would always pray for every single of person beautiful people that helped my loved ones now. I pray and I wish everyone to be healthy and to be safe and to stay safe but God forbid and I pray that you never need to go to the hospital but if you ever need any kind of help go to the hospitals of Providence they have the highest level of care sincerely for my heart and for my soul from my spirit I am speaking they will take care of you in a very good way thank you very much and God bless you.

Currently here. I’ve pressed the nurse button, I’ve pressed the water button, I’ve pressed the pain button, I’ve pressed the bathroom button. My girlfriend has a ruptured Fallopian tube and we’ve been trying to get someone in here for the past hour to give her some sort of pain medication. I myself have been putting on gloves and getting the little grey bathroom things so she can go the restroom. I’ve gone up to nurses at the desk. No one seems to care nurses walk by as they hear the beeping going off, no one even looks over here. She’s been in the room since around 1300. It is now 18:48. Heck the ecg is going off beeping like crazy and still no one comes.

The most unprofessional hospital that I have ever been in my life! I do want to apologize to the nurses that actually love to show compassion to the patient this rating is not for you. It’s for the ones who show no humanity to their patience. First of all if you have a number for the patient loves ones to call to see how they are doing don’t tell them they can call the person you are calling for on their cell phone instead! Second of all to the emergency staff on 4/20/2022 evening have more discretion to have conversations about your patients and there loves ones who are calling in to check on them and discuss that it was the 100 time the lady called and how annoying it was! Your behavior discusses me. I think you should know who you are and should be ashamed! Where is your humanity providence east? That experience has defined the way I see this hospital and it’s a shame because of more than one bad seed overshadows the good seeds in that hospital! To the nurse who insisted on giving oxygen cause the oxygen was low and no one listen to you thank you for trying to make a difference! And to the nurse that told my love one they where actually going to keep me well guess what my oxygen was low but still released me! If I can give a zero score I would but unfortunately the lowest is a one!

By far the worst hospital you can end up in. My mother is currently battling COVID and she has been neglected to the point where her condition has worsened because of patient negligence. She hasn’t been seen by a doctor already for four days and is only being seen by untrustworthy nurse practitioners who only want to get her on a ventilator. She has two weeks in the hospital and are now saying for us to prepare for her to be put on a ventilator. They are giving up on my mom. I have requested for her to be given vitamin supplements and nutrition and they haven’t. She can’t feed herself and they just go in to check vitals but no caring for her at all. She hasn’t had a BM and again haven’t given her anything. They don’t care about patients, their motive is to get them on a ventilator and get paid and hand you a death certificate. This is going to the media.

Bad experience my sister in law has leukemia and we waited for the longest time ever. She had a high fever bleeding from her nose she was so weak she couldn't be seen right away. They should have priority who gets seen first. I went to del sol and they help you right away. They're upper management skills should see they have to change on how they run things at the hospital.

Lady at the front office had no business working in the medical field. Threw up.. passed out briefly.. Informed her.. Mind you I am weak and cannot stand. And was place in a wheelchair..My pain went from a 8 to 10… cried nonstop in agony for 3 hours and they have not tried to help me. She claim she would Notify the nurses and did nothing… just sat there staring at me. This hospital do not care… save yourself the headache… the Providence off the loop you can ever rush to. If your skin is dark your pain will be looked over. Especially by the front desk person. You guys need people with Empathy. Not a stone cold disqualified heartless person

Extremely Disappointed with Sierra Providence Hospital's Triage Service Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ I recently had a surgery procedure, Anterior Cervical Decompression & Fusion on 30 June 2023. After my discharged on Sunday I started experiencimg a lot discomfort which lead me decide I needed to the emergency room. Unfortunately, my experience with their triage service following the surgery was nothing short of disappointing. The way they handled patients in obvious pain was utterly unacceptable, displaying a clear dereliction of duty. From the moment I arrived at the hospital, it was evident that the triage system was flawed. Despite being in excruciating pain and clearly in need of immediate attention, I was left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time. As someone who had just undergone a surgical procedure, I expected to receive prompt and attentive care. However, it felt as though my pain and discomfort were completely disregarded by the hospital staff. Their lack of urgency and empathy was deeply disheartening, leaving me feeling neglected and forgotten. Medical professionals are entrusted with the well-being and care of their patients, especially those who have just undergone surgery. It is unfathomable that Sierra Providence Hospital failed to recognize and address the obvious distress I was experiencing. No patient should have to endure such disregard, particularly during a time when they are vulnerable and in need of assistance. I am deeply disappointed with Sierra Providence Hospital's triage service and their apparent lack of concern for patients in pain. The experience I had following my surgery was far from what I expected or deserved. I hope that the hospital takes this review seriously and takes steps to improve their triage system, ensuring that no other patient has to endure such blatant dereliction of duty. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Sierra Providence Hospital based on the disappointment and inadequate care I received during the triage process. Their failure to prioritize patients in obvious distress is a clear reflection of their disregard for patient well-being. It is my hope that they address these issues promptly and implement changes that will prevent such experiences from occurring in the future

If I could rate zero for sure I would of put zero. Worst "professionals" ever. In short they took over 3 hours to admit my granddaughter. Released her 4 hours after that. We didnt let them fast forward 1 month later we are still at hospital. My granddaughter had bleeding in her brain and Providence East wanted to release her. So disappointment and can't understand how a hospital can still be open with this kind of service.

Horrible service! My grandfather is on the 4th floor telemetry unit. He can not walk, any fall or small cut he can bleed to death. Those are words of his doctor. Well he has been in and out of the hospital for the past months. Every stay is horrible but this last stay made me extremely upset. His IV stand was going off because there was air in the line and because his medication was out. Well he kept pressing the bell for his nurse to disconnect him. Nobody would help him. The only ones trying to help were the cna’s. All they would come in and say is I already told your nurse but nobody is coming to help. Well after calling for help a few times and the nurse never responding. My grandfather took his own IV out and got out of his bed and threw the iv machine out in the hallway. Once it was in the hallway the nurse turned it off but never came in the room to check on my grandfather. That is ridiculous. I understand they have a lot of work but they need to have rounds to check on patients. The only reason he comes back to this hospital is because it’s the only hospital his doctor comes to. Next step is changing his doctors because it’s getting ridiculous

Unfortunately Lynette ( supervise) was rude and then she asked me if anything is wrong because I seem bothered. Don’t treat people and then accuse them of having a problem when they treat you the way you treat them. Then she gets snappy when I can’t hear her. Hello you sitting low on desk with plastic wall hanging. Then the info she prints out for the next professional is wrong name and date. Now tell me who’s having a bad day. Then a mother walks out of a door and gives her the same tone telling her ma’am I need you to sign form. After she’s done with me mother walks to counter and says where do I sign she then tells her hold on I have to print out form. Providence you can do better on hiring these professionals. If your mad or bitter don’t take it out on the ones who came to give you work. Other than Lynette the supervisor the rest of the staff we encountered was a delight!!

Labor and delivery was horrible. My daughter 39 weeks pregnant went in to check oxygen levels for her and baby .they never bothered to put her on monitor or anything They left her in a room for over 40 min unattended and don’t bother to check . This was the night staff . Nurse and front attendant were very rude . She was coming up from er room which was a totally different experience they were very attentive and courteous. The doctor and nurses were very professional and sympathetic to the situation . Thank you to them . Nurses and staff upstairs do better no one wants to be in hospital and this is a profession of your choice please remember that .

Transfer. Your. Care. Do not have your loved ones have care here. Because there is none. I have a family member here and without and sensitive information. The nurses barely come and check on him. Or they come in. Say NOTHING to family. Give medication and leave. No one checks if he soiled himself. Asks if anyone needs anything. Family had to change him 3 times and the linens because when the call light is pressed. No one comes. When we come and grab a tech or nurse. They said they will come. And never do. The IV fluids run out and no one changes or checks on him. The IV bags aren’t labeled. No one wears gloves or sanitizes when walking in or out. This is a unit where they are immunocompromised. We talked to the asst director of oncology and helped a bit but still there is no care. Except for ONE tech Joseph L. was the most conversation we’ve had with anyone. He was wonderful it was the only person I’ve seen any compassion or communication with the family. We are trying to get answers or move care but no one seems to care.

Horrible service! My husband was admitted for a back surgery. He was on the second floor (surgery ortho). There is a nurse Gladys #24840. That lady is extremely rude telling us my 13 year old daughter couldn't be in the room visiting with her father. This is my husbands 3 surgery and our daughter has stayed the night without a problem. This lady wants to act like she is the owner of the hospital. Once I told her what I thought. She was extremely rude to my husband not wanting to help with anything. Neglect at its worst. Horrible horrible person. Some people shouldn't be nurses and Gladys you are one of those people.

My son in-law is in ICU currently at the east side hospital. The staff in this hospital is very cold and insensitive. When my son in-law was taken in by ambulance they initially told my daughter and my wife that he had passed he was gone and there was nothing else they could do about it. That turned out to be false and he is still clinging to life. Some of the nurses have totally been cold about his situation constantly telling us that there is no chance when there are actually signs of him fighting. Today the nurses were laughing giggling the notion of my daughter and my son-in-law continuing to fight this battle. They also have basically stated they will not be able to do much for him at this point and they are pushing for him to be sent out to rehab. This hospital has made the situation for my daughter and son-in-law a complete UPDATE: Now they released him to a rehab knowing he was not stable , has an infection and his temperature fluctuations. They never informed the rehab of the stroke he suffered.

Rude staff in emergency, no patience for the elderly and some of these RNs are young and feel that patients need to grovel over them. Rude, rude, RUDE AF! Don't come to emergency here, you'll die before you get treatment.

The worst experience ever at this "ER". 4 and a half hour wait. We watched people come way after us and some how get a room. It was hard to tell we were in an ER since everyone looked perfectly fine while my kid couldn't even sit up. We will never go here again and will never recommend it. They pick and chose who they want to assist first is perception. They have all their priorities mixed up. Left and went on post which we should have done from the get go.

I brought my mother to this Hospital because she was having difficulty breathing and was concerned that she might have pneumonia. They did bloodwork and an x-ray on her. we arrived at 6:30pm it is now 11:50pm. I understand that the ER experiences long wait times, but we barely received an update. There was snot on the walls, the trash can was overflowing and certain staff members were pretty rude. We are still waiting. I would give less than negative stars if I could.

Takes why to long .. there's people that leave and everyone waits for god knows how many hours to be called. Spots that could have been filled when those people left . Nurses need to do a roll call or something every hour to see who is still waiting and who has left. Wait time will be alot faster.

Brought my wife to the ER. They took her blood pressure and told us to wait in the waiting room. I asked about the wait time. I was informed that the wait time could be up to 11 hrs. We decided to leave and not receive medical service. Found out today that the ER is billing us $200 for what I just explained. If this isn't theft, I'm not sure what is. To the CFO, feel free to resolve this problem. Do you even care about your Google reviews? Update 01-06-2022: The hospital responded to my comment/rating and I have emailed them. I will update once they start communicating with me to resolve this issue. Update 01-07-22:. We were contacted by hospital personnel. They went above and beyond to resolve our issue. Changing my review to 4 star. Thank you.

I've always been treated well coming here for years. I also gave birth here and everyone was so helpful. It's also a very clean place. You can tell everyone knows the rules and regulations. With covid 19 they've been able to make changes as quickly as possible. My fiance used to work for a third party company that took care of their computers and he never had anything bad to say about this hospital.

Have been sitting in the waiting room for three hours with my husband at a pain level of 9. Someone who does not go to hospitals. Toddler sitting next to us has been waiting just as long. Service is horrendous and ridiculously slow. If this ends up being a major issue and he has to be admitted I will definitely file a complaint and not pay for this kind of service.

We received great service at the emergency room. My wife was misdiagnosed at an urgent care clinic so when she was not getting any better, we went to the emergency room. We had to wait in the waiting room for 2 hours, but we expected that, but they drew blood very soon after checking in and were were already waiting for the results while in the waiting room. Our nurse Eileen was very professional and helpful and was always available to answer our questions. Dr. Sarah Sante did an excellent job and knew immediately what the correct diagnosis was. Dr Sante performed superbly in providing further examinations and setting up follow up appointments with another doctor and immediately provided the correct medication. We definitely will be coming back to this ER in the unlikely event we have to. Thanks for the great service, we really appreciate it.

By far the worst hospital ive delt with. My father in law never new what was going on with him before he passed due to lack of communications between him and the doctor now I am scheduled for an appointment thru the v.a and as I'm sitting here they tell me nothing exist and I heard a gentleman call about his friend being here and they told him that person isn't a patient here. So I can only presume they have the worst communication in the world at this hospital . congrats elpaso has no faith in your hospital

My 83yr old Mother was admitted on 1/7/2023 to room 4001and was released 1/14/2023 with an intestinal obstruction. During her stay we experienced much miscommunication among the staff and many ignored calls, one of us stayed with her overnight so we constantly had to walk to the desk to get help. One of the days the tech that was supposed to help her shower just went in and threw the towels on the counter and didn’t even offer to help. She didn’t change her bedsheets either. I could go on with this unpleasant experience but I will never finish. Lastly I will end by saying that when she was finally released she was never wheeled down and she had to walk herself down to the first floor to leave the hospital. I do commend Daniel RN and Jasmine Tech for being good to my Mom. Sadly I will not choose this hospital in the future.

One or two rude, quick to be judgmental staff members in a critical care setting makes a difference between a bad or good perception;. It makes sense to maintain a positive attitude, one of people being compassionate, respectful, understanding.and efficiently working together for the best health outcomes for their patients and our loved one. Negative begets negative. Once the relief nurse rudely assumed event happened and was accusatory, things like safety risks and loud staff chattering, lack of teamwork are detected easily. Electrical cords in pathway, syringe thrown in the regular trash can, a trocar with tip wrapped in a latex glove, package wrappings, and blood gas grey stoppers on the floor. All we can hope for is a better staff tomorrow

So I ended up here after falling down the stairs. My major complaint to them was my leg. I arrived by ambulance and was put into a small room in the emergency room. After about an hour and Nurse came in and asked what happened and the doctor came in soon after. Doctor ordered CT scan of my head my back and my pelvis when the results came back three hours later, I was released. It wasnt until the nurse tried making me stand up to sit on the wheelchair to roll me out when she realized my knee was extremely swollen. She then left the room and brought back the x-ray department. Which then took X-rays of my knee. Two hours later a family member had to remind them I was still there. Nurse came back and stated “I’m sorry I thought you were gone since they have you listed as discharged”. At this point I was in so much pain, I just wanted to go home. Never received my X-ray results. I had to request a bag of ice for the road. Two days later after seeing my doctor and a second set of xrays, I found out I had a Fibia plateau Fracture!! They didn’t even catch it and had me stand on my leg regardless of me screaming of pain. Nurse just said “your knee is just sore, you’ll be fine “! Heartless and ignorant to say the least.

I love my doctor but I had the worst experience at this hospital that’ll traumatize me for life. I had a c section and nurse didn’t even put my baby on my face to touch her then didn’t get to see my baby for 5 hrs even though it was a healthy delivery and my paperwork had a lot of errors such as them writing her name and weight incorrectly and I had to correct them. I didn’t receive much help or understood nurses who didn’t speak English. First night I struggled and nurses would just watch me struggle but I guess cause they’re very young and don’t know better. Very traumatizing even though it’s been 2 months. Wish my amazing doctor delivered at a different hospital. Guess nothing in life is perfect. Trying to be positive after this experience but it’s hard. I didn’t have this kind of experience with my son at a different hospital yrs ago.

I have been here since 9:30 am with my blood pressure of 177 over 96. I asked them to take my blood pressure again after waiting for an hour and a half and it had gotten up to 188 over 106. They still haven’t done anything for me. If I could give them a zero I would give them a zero. Very disappointed. Will never come here again.

I’d do 0 stars if possible. I’ve never seen this type of attention at a hospital. With the prices they charge this is clearly a business and from a customer service perspective they get no credit. Waiting room is just a hall with some chairs. There’s no communication and it’s pretty much just waiting to hope to get called. It’s been 3 hours and I’m just still sitting in a waiting room. They might as well put a sign with an estimated wait time outside so people can drive to a real hospital.

We live out of town. We drove to Sierra Providence East Emergency room, because my mother could be seen/evaluated by her Primary doctor at this facility. My mother was admitted to Sierra for 19 days. The staff was Amazing! Thoughtful, Kind, informative and very caring. An extended hospital stay can wear on, not only the patient, but the staff, as well. Everyone was wonderful. On behalf of my Mother and I -Thank You! Blessings and Prayers for your entire staff.

Providence East has an amazing staff and doctor from beginning to end. One staff member I would like to mention is a nurse named Mr. Joe. He was welcoming, fast, comforting, and empathetic all at once as he did the blood work of my mother. She's usually nervous about these things, but she stated that Mr. Joe managed to put her mind at ease with his upbeat personality. Mr. Joe is an asset to Providence East, and we are grateful for the services he provided.

This hospital has definitely changed since I had my little one 9 years ago. Let me start by saying how filthy this place is from bathroom to the ER waiting area to the “rooms they take you back to” the RN that we got was new no one to assist her pocked my husband 3 times before getting someone to help her. She was messy in the sense of having needles open with out disposing them by my husband and not properly so unprofessional staff. My husband waited 2 hours before being seen and 1 hour before doctor gave the order to get him an IV with meds! I I’m definitely disappointed on what this hospital has come to! People definitely need to find jobs they like and be professional at all times!

Extremely mediocre staff went for an X-ray of my daughter after a fall took them 5 hrs to even give me an update and the dr never showed. One of the nurses even lifted up his shirt to “show” his bullet wound to the nurses exposing himself INFRONT of my 2 yr old daughter!!! Then he said and I quote “oh I forgot I had my patient” they never once showed up to ask for my daughter’s well being or did they do anything to keeping their tone down while they chit chated for a full hr disregarding their own patients. Until they “realized” they had my daughters X-ray result for a while and didn’t bother telling me everything was fine. Then they said “oh if you want to leave you can always do so it’s whatever” when I asked when the dr would even bother showing to discharge my baby! AVOID THIS HOSPITAL!!!

I’m so beyond thankful for all the staff there. I was there for gallbladder removal (emergency room 35) and everyone was so kind and caring. My nurses were amazing despite being so packed with sick patients. They were probably tired and super busy but they still treated me with so much care. Everyone worried for me even those taking my vitals. Thank you so much. I appreciate the emergency team and for everyone that was there covering. You are amazing individuals.

I was skeptical on coming here due to the reviews to give birth but i had an amazing experience nonetheless. The nurses and staff were incredibly helpful all throughout my induction and tried their best to keep me comfortable. My baby had jaundice in postpartum and needed phototherapy, our questions and concerns were always answered respectfully and everything was explained as it was happening. The lactation consultant is also amazing she helped me to get my baby to latch and when she couldn’t offered me to pump until I was up to try later and answered all my questions. I personally had a good experience at this hospital both throughout labor and afterward.

Almost killed me over a year ago and I’m only now recovered enough to want to write a review. Nursing staff was physically and emotionally extremely abusive. I ended up in the Mayo Clinic hospital in Phoenix who saved my live and confirmed a very rare condition that nursing staff laughed at and said not possible that I was making it up. The amount of physical and mental abuse was insane. I’m actually suffering from PTSD because of it. My IV infiltrated and being in the medical profession I knew right away and told them right away and the nursing staff would not remove it and insisted that I need to get the meds thru that IV, my husband also in the medical profession had to come at 2 am in the morning since I was in extreme pain due to the infiltrated IV and the head night nurse made at least 5 employees witness how it was not her fault for removing my infiltrated IV that I was a difficult patient for asking that and I had to sign a waiver that I wanted it removed after my doctor told her twice in front of me that I didn’t need the meds she was still trying to infuse. I have permanent scaring on my left arm because of the infiltrated IV that was left for too long. Risk Management please don’t call me, I reported everything in detail when I was in your slaughter house. The infiltrated IV was not the worst of the things that happened to me there. I was left in the ER without water for 6 hours and ER nurse told me my blood work was normal and there was nothing wrong with me when I asked for my labs she all of a sudden couldn’t give it to me because I knew it wasn’t normal. I have MS, RA and Dermatomyositis I couldn’t walk, breath or even talk properly and they were saying it was all in my mind my husband had to carry me to the restroom in the ER because in the 6 hours they couldn’t even bring me a bedpan or wheelchair since they thought I was “faking” not being able to walk. Yea so 11 specialist at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix didn’t think I was faking!! And said they were in shock that I actually survived and spent 2 weeks in progressive care and was labeled as their kindest patient ever, so no it is not me. Please do not go to this hospital if you are extremely sick they WILL kill you and it will be your fault

Went to ER my baby was so sick was advised he was considered chronic care and would be next to be called in. Waited 6 hours to be seen, they compromised my son and immune system. once seen he was give fluids for dehydration and send him. 11 hours later took him to a differed er and he was Lactic acidosis, hypotoxicsity, liver problem. Shame on you providence east, patients come to you to help us. Doctors at the other ER was upset you sent my son home. Urine was a charcoal brown.

Do NOT under any circumstances go to the ER at this hospital. Took my wife here a couple years ago for extreme stomach pain and puking blood. She was in there for 2 hours MAX. Got one bag of IV fluids, took one sample of blood work, doctor came in two hours later with nothing to say other than “were going to get you out of here.” Then received a bill for over $11,000 5 months later. We spoke to them again and thought we had the bill resolved, then over a YEAR later we get a collection notice for over $900. I wish this place would be shut down immediately.

I guess yall delete the negative comments because mine is gone. TRASH. I waited 5.5 hrs in this hospital waiting room, all the while I'm puking consistently and hunched over in obvious pain and shaking, only for the nurses to keep skipping me and clear the entire waiting room twice. Each time I went up there, a difrrent excuse. But when I asked her if I pass out from this dehydration from not eating/drinking and severe vomiting for 10 days, then I would get a room. The gentlemen that was sitting beside me got told he had pneumonia, and they sent him on his way. This is the worst hospital of all time. I will go post my review about it everywhere that I can. Only go here if you plan to die waiting on actual help. The nurses that work in the desk area in the ER are very rude and unprofessional. This hospital would have let me died before helping me. Awesomeeeeee.

My mom has been here since Friday and each day I come to visit I find a mess. I’m in shock that the staff doesn’t clean up after themselves. It’s important to clean up after themselves: blood on the floor, vials, gloves, dirty sheets, opened packages. Not impressed with cleanliness especially in a hospital setting In addition, a staff member walked in and noticed the pads were soiled. I asked if they were supposed to be changed regularly and she told me I could change them and showed me where the pads were. I wonder if other patient families are asked to do this. Very disappointed with cleanliness!

The customer service at The Hospital of Providence is undoubtedly abysmal, characterized by a significant disconnect between the appointment and registration staff. For example, I recently scheduled an appointment to get an MRI and the staff at Joe Battle location said I don’t have an MRI appointment but I had a nuclear medicine. It is evident that there is a lack of coordination and communication within the system. To exacerbate matters, the customer representative, Eddie, displayed unprofessional behavior by not only lying about their entire hospital do not provide anesthesia and I’ve been trying to schedule the MRI appointment since July. Instead of taking responsibility for their actions, they shifted the blame onto the patient. Such behavior is utterly unacceptable and reflects a complete disregard for the well-being and satisfaction of the hospital's care for their patients. This is a continuation of the above review. Today I was scheduled for my MRI. Thought I would have the procedure done and maybe be on with my life; however the Hospital of Providence did as they normally would, failed to provide the care to me. I'm not surprised that they would blame the patient and told me to reschedule. One word review...awful.

This facility doesn't care about their patients or other employees when they have careless employees and nurses who continually break the quarantine travel ban and don't follow mandates and potentially expose everyone they come in contact with.

  • 1/5 Adriana W. 7 months ago on Google
Don't go in the morning. The front staff is very helpful getting you in but once you go to the back you will be forgotten & the nurse with the blonde hair acts extremely entitled & very rude. I was in the emergency because I thought my son had a bad allergy reaction & nurse suggested I give him benadryl which sounds ok but then suggested I use it even to put him to sleep as well? No, that's not something she should be recommending. So they gave him a strep throat test & waited almost 4 hours & nobody checked back on us so we left. I'm never going back these people take this job as joke I could see how careless they take their job jst from overhearing how they were talking about other patients like they didn't care.

Please be AWARE our recent visit to this hospital was a bit jarring. The people working there were nice and informative however it is hospital policy (they said) for patients being tested for COVID-19 is to be transferred to the COVID ward even if they have not received ANY positive or negative result!!! So they are sending perfectly healthy non infected people to to a COVID confirmed area. I say this because my family member that we took there had tested negative for COVID, was already diagnosed something irrelevant to covid, and they retested her there and were about to transfer her (she’s elderly) to the COVID area of the hospital “while they receive the results” Please always ask questions. Never! Ever just take what they say face value - remember you have your rights. If you have covid you can stay at the hospital however there is also the option of self quarantine!! (Unless of course you need to be at a hospital) ask lots of questions to make sure you keep both yourself and your families safe.

Called 9 times to get an update on my Grandma, the nurse hung up on me, the nurse station continued to transfer me to nothing. Family members arent allowed but I cant get an update. I have to get my Grandma out of there Update: Ok, The ER unit is the one that is bad. My Grandma got a little better and was transferred to the Medical Unit. Here they gave me a full update, the nurse, Evaline has her own phone and she gave me that so I can get a full update. Gabriel, The director gave me a phone call and followed up with me, which made me feel that my Grandma is in good hands. The ER unit needs to follow suit because those are where the patients are critical and an update is really needed.

Well I had a concussion and I was there for hours in the ER department. Sure the people were nice, but as always they are very slow. The ER department was quite empty. The doctor finally came and left quickly. To add more insult to injury, they charged 9000 dollars for a simple ER visit and a CT scan. I will never return here because how abusive they are. They don't tell you the specific charges and demand payments right away, even though they should know most people in El Paso don't have thousands of dollars to dish out. Its unfair to give such poor quality service, yet, charge so much.

If there was a zero rating i wouldn't hesitate on giving that. I went in with numbness in half of my body. After addressing my main issue, the nurses were more focused a cough i had. When they took me in to a check up bed / room, the actual beds were in the middle of the hallway. Patients were in beds everywhere in the hallway in pain or connected to ivs out in the open, no privacy at all. Its unbelievable how a hospital is allowed to operate like this. Literally looked like a war zone hospital. After i was taken to my bed /waiting room / hallway station, and after waiting around 30 mins i was finally approached and asked for my name. She then looked up and stated i was there for flu like symptoms to verify, i had to explain again what was wrong with me. They went back to their computer puzzled. I would understand if everybody was busy and information doesn't get delivered between people. But all i saw was "nurses" eating at their desks, laughing on their cell phones, or worried about what they had ordered from whataburger. After finally getting a "doctor" to come talk to me, I'm going to be honest with you all i don't think this guy was a doctor at all, he didn't know what to say or questions to ask me when i was explaining what was going on. I use " " to their description because yo be honest I don't know how they got that title. I had to tell him to look at my previous record as to what was done before months ago when i came in for almost the same thing. He never came back again until he released me 6 hours later and nothing done to me. I know for a fact i had several vitamin deficiency yet nothing was given to me other than calcium. Not even a prescription to treat the flu that was so important was given to me. I was just released. I know i will get a bill, and when i do i will contact BBB or someone to evaluate this and possibly take further action. I wonder how many people are being ripped off for treatment they never received. I will write letters, i will do everything in my power to stop this hospital from operating like this. This is really not fair. I never had experienced so much incompetence in a hospital before in this country, ever .

With all the worries in the world, came to Providence East Emergency Room. Upon arrival, I was taken to the back, received by Joe and Abel at ER. They provided such great and warm welcome took my vitals and address all my concerns. Joe took my lab work and explain each step he was taking. Made sure I felt comfortable with the process, extremely knowledgeable. Then I did speak with Dr. Alarcón which he was a pleasure to speak with as well. Answer all my questions and corners. Made sure my questions were answer to best if his knowledge. These 3 gentlemen made sure I felt comfortable and at peace even at the emergency room. They were extremely busy but they made sure when it’s our turn they gave us their undivided attention Thank you for all you do Joe, Abel and Doctor Alarcón at Emergency Room Thank you for going that extra mile I really appreciate all you do

We unfortunately had to bring in my father to the emergency room and have been admitted for 2 days already. The staff has been truly wonderful, informative and very attentive. We have not been able to get a room upstairs due to the overflow of inpatient rooms occupied but the ER staff continues to keep my father as comfortable as possible. I can truly say that from being greeted in the front by Joe in the ER floor to Rick from Telemetry. I am thankful that we chose the right facility to attend my father’s injury. I cannot thank the staff enough for continuing to treat us with such care.

I am so grateful I have Doctor Violet Maldonado as my doctor. She is very caring and thoughtful and takes time with you. I was nervous about delivering at this hospital because of the reviews and let me tell you. You can't always listen to reviews. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. I entered the satellite emergency room on the corner of Joe Battle Blvd. and Edgemere Blvd. requesting information for treatment. The receptionist on duty explained that the satellite ER was the same as going to the Hospital ER. However, if the patient required admittance they would transport to the hospital at no additional cost to the patient. I requested a wheelchair be provided to my wife as her right ankle was swollen and she had difficulty walking. The CNA on duty provided the wheelchair and helped my wife into the ER. The nurse on duty took my wife's vital signs and was taken to one of the treatment rooms. Nurse on duty administered medication for the swelling and we waited for the technician to arrive to take XRays. Doctor read the XRays and advised us of the swelling. There were no broken bones and wife was advised to elevate her foot and apply ice packs, daily. All personnel on duty during our visit treated us with the highest respect and all were extremely helpful. Congratulations to a wonderful staff. Job well done. Raul Garcia

I don't leave reviews really ever, but I feel compelled to leave one because of how impressed I am. Went in to the emergency room for a post op allergic reaction, I was nervous at first as the waiting room wasn’t the nicest or cleanest. The wait wasn’t awful at all, and my nurse Laura RN and Dr. Calero we’re amazing went above and beyond and really listened to me and treated me like a human being I had been to another providence for the same thing and they basically laughed me out the door. I am more than grateful. The room was quiet and clean the emergency department was very efficient.

I have unfortunately been hospitalized too many times in the past 2 years for my heart problems and have been admitted in each of the Providence hospitals here in El Paso. Even though there is a Providence hospital closer to my home, I come back to Providence East. From the ER attendant to the ones wheeling me to the front when discharged, they are the most incredible group of people. Norma in the Stepdown unit on the 2nd floor was so helpful, cheerful and went beyond her call of duty to make me comfortable. After being admitted and moving upstairs to the Telemetry unit on the 4th floor, my care was equally as exceptional. Tony A was my Tech and he is an incredible young man, was always checking on me, always going that extra mile and never became a bother. Constant smiles, helpful and caring people is all I got, each and every time. Incredible hospital, clean facility and phenomenal staff. Thank you for making a miserable hospital stay a more pleasurable one.

I had a car accident and my legs were bleeding because multiple cuts, one of the nurses “cleaned” the cuts with just water and soap, they gave me some stitches in other wounds and let me go home. TWO WEEKS after my accident I found out I have pieces of glass inside of the cuts that supposedly the nurse clean. Such a bad experience and painful.

I would like to thank first the ER staff for the excellent care they provided for my mom. My mom has had great care by all the nursing staff, therapist, nursing aids, and the hospitalist team. All the providers that care for her have given more than 100%. A great big thank you to COO Eric Cazarez for allowing us the opportunity to see my mom during this difficult time. This has not been easy for us, but everyone at the hospital has gone above and beyond. Thank you so much.

On 01/14/2022 at 10pm my son was admitted to this hospital via ambulance. I was there at 10:15pm. I asked if I could see him. They told me sure, just wait 15 min to put him in system. Long story short, after countless calls, I was not able to see him until 8 am. I spent the night in the parking lot. My son has a sore on his bottom that requires an air mattress. During those 10 hours in the ER, he kept begging them to get him an air mattress, as he was in excruciating pain. They ignored him. He kept messaging me telling me he could not stand it anymore. I kept calling them to please get someone in there and get him an air mattress. Long story short again, he did not receive an air mattress until 4 days later! I would put a pillow underneath him to help relieve the pain. But by then he was in so much pain, it was heartbreaking to see. This is just one example of what happened during his 3 weeks at this hospital. Just one little example. Because if I was to write everything, I would be writing a book! I am just thankful that I was allowed to stay with him, because if I wasn't there with him, I truly believe he would not be here with us. Except for the nurses in the ER, most of the nurses and CNAs on the floor were great, they just don't have enough of them. I did most everything that needed to be done for my son. Sure the place is nice and the rooms were big and roomy, but the service was horrible. This is the last time anyone in my family will be going to this hospital.

I gave birth at P.E & was given horrible service because I refused their medications.(Pitocin, epidural, etc) This was my 3rd birth & my previous have been no intervention. My daughter was born happy/healthy & I asked to be released that evening. Due to protocol we had to stay 24 hours. Next day comes around & they take my baby to NICU to run her tests not allowing neither me nor her daddy to go with her. They came back & she had 2 cuts on her heels & tell me she did not pass her heart exam. Even though the numbers they were telling me sounded like it was passing. I asked to sign an AMA so we could go home. There were only 2 nurses the entire time I was there and they kept rolling their eyes every time they would get called on their radios because they each had 6 patients each. Our nurse came back in & said Dr. Patel said if we leave against his advise he would call CPS. She felt bad & stated he was having a power trip. He refused to speak to us after that. We left, he called CPS, they investigated us & traumatized my children. Turns out my baby had an APGAR score of 9/9 at hospital. Case is now closed and he had NO reason to call me negligent or put our family through such turmoil.
