Staff have no empathy towards public and patients. Hospital will not allow a love one to die with dignity so rounded by love ones. The ego of the staff comes first in this hospital. The staff is so desensitize they lack the basic human emotion to understand the grieving process. Please consider taking your love one to another hospital. This hospital will not allow family to get closure they need by holding the hand of a dying love one.

I went to the Del Sol emergency room at 23 weeks pregnant due to severe pain & contractions. Every single staff member on the maternity/labor floor was fantastic. They were kind, empathetic, & honest every step of the way. They quickly got to the bottom of what was happening & stopped me from going into preterm labor. I canā€™t thank them enough for their care & support during such a stressful time. I have chosen to give birth there based on this experience. I highly recommend any expectant moms to go here.

Nurses and care at this hospital are a bit questionable . My grandpa is currently here and Iā€™ve had to ask a nurse multiple times for things my grandpa needed and have had to wait hours for someone to finally come back into the room and actually do what Iā€™ve asked of them per my grandpa , they also give attitude like they know everything and give mediocre treatment , please beware . Initially when he came to the hospital he was in the ER for over 12 hours before a nice lady at the front desk not even the nurse helped us get a room for him because he was going to be admitted . Please realize you all are in healthcare and how you treat others matter. Itā€™s not just about trying being cute in your scrubs and getting a paycheck , thank you .

My dear grandmother had passed away a mere 10 minutes when Ana the ER charge ā€œnurseā€ told my mother to calm down as she had just received the news. Ms. lovely Ana then told us ā€œthe bodyā€ couldnā€™t stay here and which funeral home should we send the body to. She also threatened to kick my mother out of the ER after my mom became distraught and unable to speak. (This was part of same conversation 10 minutes after hearing our grandmother had passed). She never explained anything to us: no protocols, no plans, no explanation on what happened. Ana never said sorry for our loss. She seemed very annoyed that we were grieving. Please teach Ms. Ana some manners or have her changed to another unit. She has no place meeting with grieving families. She has made the experience so much worse than what it was. I pray no other family goes through what we just went through. Thank God for people like Dr. Diaz and Sergio Navarrete. Sergio went above and beyond to comfort our family in our time of need.

Crystal, the awful lady in the front needs to find a better job, than just signing people into the hospital. My father was on his death bed, everyone came to say goodbye to him and of course we understand that there is a limit of how many people can come into the hospital for certain patients, but the head nurse got approval and allowed for up to 10 people to be in the room while they disconnected my dad. My mom, my dads wife was yelled at by Crystal and treated very ugly, while trying to get into the building, where my dad was about to get disconnected. Sadly, many unfortunate events happen in the hospital, those who work here have to know how to speak to people and how to have the courtesy when speaking to an individual whoā€™s going through a lot. Not to mention, this lady Crystal and her college was laughing at not just my mom but myself as well when entering the building. When i first got there I was immediately told no thereā€™s enough visitors for that patient without even having to say my dads name. if you donā€™t like your place of work go find something you like instead of making yourself and others miserable.

Go to Providence if you can!! Husband had surgery at Providence and the staff was so amazing. The hospital is very clean, they allowed me to wait with my husband in all areas except surgery room. The cafeteria was great! Our friend had surgery at Del Sol today. Surgery went great! However, we were forced to wait outside, staff wasnā€™t nice, building had different areas being worked on inside, looks old and our kiddos couldnā€™t even step foot in the buildingā€¦COME ON! Honestly would never want to go back.

This is by far the worst hospital in the whole world. The staff is extremely rude the dr Kay David or so was said to be his name came in instantly screaming and belittling me. Only because he didnā€™t do his own job correctly. I was searching for love, compassion, and comfort as I went through one of the most painful experiences of my life. Instead I got the exact opposite. All the nurses even walked around laughing at the fact that the hospital was so horrible. This place literally needs to be shut down.

My dad was admitted due to his kidney specialist sending orders so he could have dialysis. I love their protocols and how you have to check in and out as a visitor, also how they donā€™t allow children under 14 in. All the nurses who have tended to my dadā€™s care on the 5th floor have been spectacular! Definitely an upgrade from Sierra Medical.

Horrible experience in the emergency room. My mom was in real pain she is a cancer patient and the doctor was cold and didn't want to do too much except give her medication to control the pain. She didn't even looked at my mom's medical records and asked me if I new everything and what she wanted me for her to do.. I am not the doctor! Your job is to evaluate her not me! She assumed the pain is caused because of the cancer. Which it might be but never ran any test to make sure she isn't hurt because I explained to her my mother couldn't walk and our family couldn't carry her that much and she had been put on the floor little by little 3 times already. The female nurse took forever to came to check on my mom when she needed to release her urine. She was supposed to help her. The other male nurse was ok but still not helpful so much. Refused to get in contact with my mom's doctors so I will be doing that to let them know what happened. Horrible service. Heard nurses laughing about a couple who were coming in because they fell.. cold hearted... didn't even prescribed her new medication to take home for the pain. Useless.

This hospital is still operating under Covid policies to not deal with patients families. Itā€™s easier for them to kick people out and threaten you with security. They called security for being in the entrance of the hospital as we consoled one another and waited to be allowed upstairs. They asked us to move close against the wall if we wanted to to be there. We werenā€™t in anyoneā€™s way. It was my family and another family who just lost a loved one with NO WHERE to grieve in private so there was a good amount of people. They were so inconsiderate and heartless when we had just experience a tremendous loss. No compassion from the hospital or the attending nurse who took over after my loved one passed. She referred to my loved one as a ā€œbodyā€ as opposed to her patient. It took hours to get 2 minutes from the attending Dr as well. Go somewhere else for care; this hospital is a disgrace.

I was in doubt of delivering my baby at Del Sol Medical Center since I read a lot of negative comments and reviews on social media, but decided to have my baby here since my OB really recommend the Hospital. I was not disappointed at all. I was induced on a Tuesday and had my baby on Wednesday morning. The nurses were great, they were nice, kind and really friendly. I felt really comfortable and taken cared of by people whom seemed to care about me and my baby. The food was good as well, nurses and people working at the hospital were very attentive. When we were moved to the postpartum rooms nothing changed, we were explained everything regarding paper work and the after care for the baby and myself. I was always asked if I needed anything and if I was comfortable. I had a great experience at Del Sol Hospital.

Go anywhere else but here, they charge enormous amounts of money for bad service and trick you with a 90 percent discount which still leaves you with a bill the size of any other place that will provide better service. These people tell intelligent lies that most people can't see through.

Staff was very rude and gave out false information. They gave one lie after another and failed to see to my grandmothers needs. It seemed like there was no urgency to medical equipment alarms, nor did they seem to care for patients and their families. When asked questions they would direct me to someone else but never gave me an answer.

If you truly care for your loved ones you will do everything in your power to not send them to this hospital. Staff is very rude and never have time you can never talk to a doctor always too busy for anyone. My father in-law was there for 5 days and when he went to therapy they thought he had been there for weeks due to the condition was in. Del Sol is hands down one of the worst hospitals I've ever seen. Nurses and doctors had him on 3 rounds of 600mg gabapentin the man was almost a vegetable by the time they got done with him in 5 days. They lied to us about his application to the therapy center we wanted him at told us they denied him bc of medicine but they were actually having to wait another day and the hospital wasn't wanting to wait till the next day so they put in their own application at another one and told us that was the only one that would accept him. All the doctors and nurses are bold face liars and do not care for you or your loved ones.stay far far away from this hospital.

I rather start out with the only positiveā€¦ my nurse was an absolute sweetheart and the only reason I didnā€™t ask to be discharged asap. Now onto why L&D should be shut down and thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Filthy bed that had no pillows, dirty bathroom and I honestly dreaded my feet touching the floor WITH slippers on. Something definitely needs to be done about the cleanliness of their rooms. Giving birth should be a beautiful experience not one where you literally have mentally prepare yourself to set foot into one of their filthy room. I mean at the very least Iā€™d expect clean sheets free of dried up gunk on them. Just a nasty, nasty hospital.

My mother had a procedure here recently and all staff involved in her care were excellent. All encounters with them were very informative and communicative. It is extremely important to both my mother and I to be informed patients. Clear open communication is absolutely necessary when it involves the care over yours or a loved-ones body. It is a human right to be informed, be your own advocate or designate someone else in the case of your incapacity to decide what treatments and procedures are acceptable to you. We have specific religious preferences regarding treatments that we would refuse and those were respected and accommodated. I know everyone has different experiences and there are so many variables when receiving care at any place. We had a good experience that exceeded our expectations. As a side note, this is one of the hospitals involved in the emergency care of victims from the mass shooting at the nearby Walmart. You could sense their resilience, attention to care, concern for others, solidarity amongst the staff and their ability to carry on after seeing some terrible trauma. Kudos to the hardworking people at this facility.

I wouldnā€™t even give this place a 1 star review if I didnā€™t have to. My mother was air lifted here a week ago with a brain aneurysm (we found out later she actually had TWO from University Medical Center of El Paso after they did a NEEDED angiogram.) My grandmother died from an aneurysm.... her 3rd aneurysm.... and her brother had TWO aortic aneurysms... clearly a genetic issue. Del Sol tried to send my mother home doing NOTHING for her after keeping her in the ED for over 24 hours. My sister saw blood and people dying in the ED while trying to get to my mother. De. Omar called security on me for demanding appropriate care for my mother AND THEN the charge nurse in the ICU (Not the neuro ICU where my mother needed to be but the regular ā€˜ol ICU because they clearly donā€™t have specialized ICUā€™S) told me she was going to kick me out when I suggested to my mother we would go somewhere else because I was interfering with the plan of care. (What plan of care that was I and my family are still unsure, other than them trying to send her home on pain meds which my mother is highly allergic to and canā€™t have...University Medical Center of El Paso immediately admitted her after we left Del Sol, immediately started an IV AND DID A CT SCAN AND AN ANGIOGRAM WHICH DEL SO NEVER DID!!! And then performed surgery to place a coil in her aneurysm for preventive measures so she didnā€™t end up like her mother. This is the absolute worst hospital you could go to and I HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else if possible!! This places reputation is proceeds it ALL THE WAY TO DENVER COLORADO!!!.... and you will be much better off getting your care and treatment elsewhere!!

HORRIBLE!!! My family an I experience was horrible ! The staff was rude , my fatherā€™s high blood pressure was high an they still took him into surgery , the nurse gave him morphine after surgery an she gave him the morphine in the IV an she didnā€™t not put it in the IV slow she put it the morphine fast , guess they are looking for a LAW SUIT ...WAYY TO TRY TO GIVE MY DAD A CARDIAC ARREST!!! an while she did that as he was Layin down an choking on his own throw up, we left my dad to rest when we came back he said they didnā€™t check up on him for a good 5hrs later!! When he had got out of surgery the nurses told the DR. that my father didnā€™t have any family members in the waiting room so we waited in the waiting room when we got up to ask the nurses if he was out he was already out 3hrs ago! This hospital should not be in business thatā€™s for sure. They APOLOGIZE BUT YOU DONT EVER SEE THEM FIX THERE ATTITUDES OR THERE LACK OF COMMUNICATION WITH PATIENTS FAMILY!!!!

My 2nd pregnancy has been very hard for me been in and out the hospital due to severe allergic reaction and preterm labor alarms , last time i was at L&D was on 12/20/19 for contractions. The nurse was rude to begin with and then tells me during this pregnancy weā€™ve seen you 11 times saying it a little bit rude. My mom was with me when she left she mentioned she could hear the rest of the nurses talking about me and laughing , Not to mention my OB doctor always jokes around me being in and out the hospital i have no choice because she only delivers in that hospital. I will be delivering at a different hospital who doesnā€™t judge their patients or laughs at them , ive heard UMC has better services and people

I don't know how they get any bad reviews. They saved my dad's life. The staff was on top of it all. We were scared and they calmed us and attended to him with the upmost care. Everybody there was amazing and we will always remember how you saved our dad's life. Thank you for doing what it is that you do so well!

My mother was there for about a month. I was a little unsure about her care there due to previous experiences there. But omgggggg, the entire staff from ICU room 3, recovery room 559 and therapy room 519 was amazing!!! Thank you for your hard work, compassion and being professional. Great job Del Sol!

Have not been seen here and wonā€™t be seen here because 2 of our close family friends have passed away here in the last 4 years. Were admitted for completely different and simple procedures and were kept for more than a month for other procedures that werenā€™t the reason why they went in the first place and now they are out..... out on a coffin!!! Dislike this hospital go anywhere else but here!! If you really want good care I donā€™t recommend this place. They will kill your loved ones....

The personnel on the third floor are the best. Despite the challenging times we are in, they still demonstrate compassion to their patients, even when some of those patients are mean and aggressive. All the nurses, nurse assistants and doctors were outstanding on my last visit. I especially want to thank nurse assistant Lucia for her compassion and work erhic.

worst hospital in EP. took my mom to ER and released her and told her to stay in lobby until somebody picked her up. 80 yrs old, fell down and fractured her clavicle and had a hematoma on her leg. she could not walk. they said xrays came back with no critical injuries and she is good to go home. yes, she has insurance to cover all expenses. took my dad to ER twice to Sierra Providence and totally 180 degree difference. DEL SOL DO NOT CARE. i had to find my mom a wheel chair. had to get my own wheel chair, myself and my sister had to carry her from bed to chair and had to beg for a arm sling. we had to take her out ourselves and put her in car. WOW. the two nurses we dealt with was truly qualified to work at this low rated hospital.

Worst experience of my life in their er yesterday. The nurse that put in my iv when I first arrived had my blood gushing everywhere, there was blood on the sheets, on my pants, and on my arms. She said she was not good at blocking the vein. Not only did they not provide any pillows or blankets or even water for the 5 hours I was there, They didn't check up on me once. (Mind you I'm pregnant) After waiting 5 hours for any kind of information the doctor finally come and tells me to just avoid greasy foods and then walks away no important details were discussed and medication was not prescribed. At the the end of it all a different nurse took out my iv and just pulled the needle out and patched it with a cotton ball and tape leaving me to put pressure myself to prevent even morel blood from coming out from the first time. I led myself out and I couldn't believe the level of unprofessionalism I had just experienced. If you want good care I do not recommend this hospital.

My dad had a heart attack on Christmas day and he ended up here. He was suppose to have a simple procedure to prevent future heart attacks but they found out they had to do open heart surgery. The surgeon was Dr. Eisenberg and he was amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his team. Before the surgery he met with us and he took his time to answer all the questions we had. My dadā€™s surgery took about 6 hours but everything went great. His recovery is a long process but so far everyone we have dealt with have been nothing but nice and respectful. All the nurses are constantly checking up on him. I would recommend this place for anything cardio vascular.

Head nurse of the ICU Angie Valdez should be fired. She is the absolute worst and lacks humanity and empathy. She yelled at my mother when she was scared. She belittled and bullied my mother and she kicked her out of the hospital when she was trying to keep my brother from falling and hurting himself more. Hopefully Angieā€™s family never experiences what we are and if so hopefully they donā€™t get a nurse like Angie. Angie you should probably do some soul searching to figure out why youā€™re so bitter and ugly inside. I hope your soul finds peace.

Took my mother in today b/c I was concerned with her leg swelling and bruising that appeared about 5 days after a fall. The ER Dr. ordered an xray to rule out possible missed fractures from previous xray taken day of fall & ultrasound to rule out DVT. The xray was taken promptly but the ultrasound took much longer to get done. After about 3 hours of waiting in triage area, I asked Bryann, RN what was taking so long. She said there was a miscommunication about who was gonna get it done but they were coming down to do it soon. I waited another hour before ultrasound was done. During that wait time, I asked the same nurse for a blanket since mom was cold. She told me she'd get it & she never did. I had to ask another nurse who was kind enough to bring a warm one & promptly. After 5 & 1/2 hours of wait time, Bryann, RN came in to tell us everything was fine & mom was being released. That nurse seemed out of it. I tried to ask her questions as to why the bruising & swelling was occurring now if her fall was 5 days ago. She didn't really answer & again asked for more questions. I'm glad there was no DVT b/c it might have been missed during that extensive time waiting on test to be done. The only nice thing that nurse did after I asked her for a wheelchair was walk my mom out while I got the car. This department needs to do better & ensure tests being ordered for patients are getting done in a timely order.

I brought my partner to the emergency room to see a doctor because he felt like he was dying. When we got to be seen the doctor didnā€™t care to listen to his symptoms and told him he was only allowed to have ONE complaint so he had to pick ONE. She had an attitude from the moment we walked in, I don't know if she was having a bad day or because she is prejudice but we will definitely not be coming back.

This hospitals policy on how many people can be in the room is ridiculous. My sister just passed away and I had family flying in from out of town just to see her and they wouldnā€™t make any exceptions. Not to mention they make everyone wait outside of the hospital they are extremely in-considerate of peopleā€™s situation. I mean I understand that the nurses canā€™t have it packed in a confined space because then they canā€™t do there job with it being to many people but what is one more person just for a 5 minute visit . I mean my sister is gone and you canā€™t let my 79 year old grandparents go in to see their granddaughter? Instead you make them wait outside with no chairs or anything. I actually give the personnel a 4 star rating very friendly and respectful but the hospital itself 2 and theyā€™re lucky to get that . If you can have your loved ones in a different hospital I strongly suggest you do so any of the other ones in El Paso are better then del sol

Brought my mom here when she started showing some warning signs of a stroke. They never explained to us she was considered a ā€œcode brainā€ and that it meant she was going to get a lot of diagnostic tests performed. Instead, random people from radiology kept showing up in the room without letting my mom know in advance what to expect. The ER doctor working that night seemed dry and hardly explained anything to us. She then got transferred to the telemetry floor (3rd floor) for observation. I was pleased with how she got treated there. Dr. Oscar Garcia from Internal Medicine had a great demeanor and explained my family and I everything thoroughly. Also, a big thank you to Claudia, RN and Julio, OT. They were both empathetic when taking care of my mom. Overall, the facility is clean and decent. However, staff can improve by better explaining medications and procedures to their patients, as well as incorporating therapeutic communication with them. The organization can improve on their technology by switching to a higher tech documentation system.

Went in today because I was having trouble breathing, which I thought cld b a side effect from a procedure I had done earlier. Dr. Loaiza and the nurse at the front desk gave me excellent care and in a very fast paced manner. I have never ever been to any drs visits that I was treated so nice and very quickly. Letting me know they took my condition seriously and how I felt. They gave me great service. The dr. And staff were a šŸ’Æ % on point. Great experience. Made me feel like they put me at a high priority. Highly recommend this hospital and staff. God bless this hospital and staff. The ONLY reason for the 2 stars is because few of the 5th floor ICU nurses are wonderful. This is all i have to say. This hospital is more driven for profit than patient care from my experiences.

My step daughter was admitted into Del Sol early Monday morning after being in an accident. She suffered from wounds on her arm that were not cleaned by the staff at the hospital. She had a piece of glass in her arm that has been bugging her all week, and tonight she was able to get it out of her arm. Why didn't the nurses who were attending her flush out the wound and remove the glass??? She suffered with the discomfort and pain in her arm all week! This hospital is not very clean and also has a bug infestation. We were trying to keep the bugs away from us and off of us. I hope I never have to come back to this hospital.

Staff are helpful and very professional. I was there for shoulder surgery and my experience was good. I will not give them 5 stars because they took my glasses at the operating room and lost them. My only pair. Now I have to get new ones and spend money that I wasnā€™t counting on. They kept telling me that my husband took my glasses but I know I went into the OR with my glasses on.

My daughter was taken there after car accident. She was left in ER hallway for 6 hours without a doctor ever coming to her. The trauma doctor that eventually came spent time on computer without ever examining my daughter. She was taken to surgery after 12 hours. The OR and ER is infested with bugs and cockroaches. Please avoid this place at all price.

My grandfather entered this facility with respiratory issues from a few cracked ribs, and he was sent home to us with COVID, which he ended up right back at the hospital because of. We were never even told he had COVID until his second stay there, and while he was home between stays, nearly all of our family contracted COVID from him as well. A few days later, he passed away at Del Sol, and his wedding ring went mysteriously ā€œmissingā€. Funny how he never lost it once in 69 years of marriage but itā€™s gone the moment he goes to Del Sol, to die. They also have a terribly inhumane policy of only allowing one visitor PER DAY for patients, even though we were in full PPE while on visit. Some of our family never even got to say goodbye because of that policy. I would never recommend this place.

If you are going to deliver in this hospital please read my review. The nurses were so caring and nice, they were so attentive and nice, Monique was the best one she was right there by my side all the time and was constantly asking about my needs and wants. I do have a bad review of the lady that did my epidural, she was really old and kept humming and singing the whole time she kept doing my epidural, she couldnā€™t find my spine for some reason so she kept poking me and poking me in 3 different areas of my back. I thought once I got the epidural I was going to not feel anything but I ended up feeling everything. She ended up putting it wrong after she poke me so many times. This lady is already way too old and I think she needs to retire she was on her 80s 90s so if you are planning to get a epidural make sure you get some one else, other than that everything went well.

My husband had no choice other than the ambulance to bring him to the El Sol Hospital for hip surgery. This hospital is considered a trauma hospital. I have gone through different medical experiences with my loved ones at this hospital. The convenience of a location has been most of the time for my loved ones to be here. Why? Because I know supervision to medical care has been my goal every time for my loved ones when they have been here. And because it is close to my house, I can go and come back with no problem daily. So here goes my actual review. Be very aware of what is going on with your loved ones. There are many young nurses working here. They might have the knowledge but their experience is little. Do not wait for your doctor to call a medical specialist. You tell the nurse that you are requesting a conference with a Urologist, Cardiologist Pain Doctor or a Disease Doctor for instance. Take action, immediately as you see the necessity and you will get things done faster. Many of the doctors on call will not even check your loved one physically. Yes, unfortunately, one has to attend to the necessities of what is necessary to do. Always, educate yourself and request testing when is necessary and things will happen and good luck!

My youngest son and daughter-in-law are about to be first parents and Iā€™m outside in the stupid sun because there are no waiting rooms, meaning weā€™re going to miss their big moment!! Iā€™m very upset as the other hospitals are not like this. COVID is Not an excuse. Not to mention doors are locked to patio so my husband and I had to walk around just to sit in the freakin hot sun!! Thank you, Del Sol for ruining this. Booooooo šŸ˜”

My uncle was brought in today 9/17 at approx 1 am. He was in an accident and needed help. When he arrived the nurses working the emergency department refused to provide care. My cousin and I told them that my uncle is bleeding from his mouth, possibly bilateral ears, has a huge hematoma on his forehead and another hematoma on his elbow. He had abrasions to bilateral knees and all over his abdomen and he was complaining of abdominal pain. We told him he wasn't at his baseline mentally because he was calling us by the wrong name. (No he was not intoxicated) The nurses looked at him and began to laugh saying they aren't going to touch him and then walked back inside. My cousin went after them and asked them to please help us. They refused. They actually accused us of recording which is a lie, we were in Facetime with family in California. They called security to try and kick us out. Nurse Annette came out and actually took the time to listen to us. She walked over to my uncle and wheeled him in to the trauma bay and walked us through the process. Meanwhile the nurses at the desk were still laughing, I believe one of their names is Helen and the other is Bianca. Anyway, what they did was very unprofessional. If you value your life do not come here. Unfortunately for us this was the closest hospital and given my uncles condition we had no choice but to come here. Do better Del Sol, your community is counting on you.

I have to come to those hospital because it is where my neurosurgeon is. I've had problems literally every ti.e. the first procedure. I was on my period. I told them I was on my period. They removed my briefs and pad and left Me to leak blood everywhere. The second time nobody would listen to me and my surgical incisions got infected. I'm now in my third time. I called the nurse 5 or 6 times and just got hung up on. He finally came to give me medication, after yelling at me, but the line infiltrated, however, surprise, he wasn't paying attention at all, tossed my xanax on the table, amd walked out of the room. I used my call light, and it was literally ignored. Turned off from outside of the room. I ask my cna why and her response was "oh I thought it was your roommate" roommate or not, why in yhe hell would you ignore a call light???? ....I finally got a decent nurse this morning, but so far, there are more bad nurses than good ones.....maybe I just have bad luck? And then, one of you hospitalists had the damn never to say I am drugs seeking because I requested morphine of dilaudid for pain RIGHT AFTER SURGERY. she took the time to look up my pharmacy history and said you picked on up in July..you didn't have surgery in July. I say ummm yes I did, and she really Sad not st this hospital! YES I did! I hope to never come back to this place. I didn't want to this time. But the neurosurgeon for UMC was on vacation. This place is horrible. I csn believe anybody would come here by choice.

8 years a left El Paso. I come back a week ago. Had to be taken by ambulance to Del Sol, which my brother exclusively told ambulance not to take me there. I went in for an epileptic seizure and instead of helping we get better, I now am black, blue and green. On my chest, on my shoulders, on my fingers, why? As weak as I was, in and out of seizure after seizure I had to push off my blankets because no one would change them and they, and I, were soaking in pee. This happened 3 times. Needless to say, I reichert of urine. No one bathed me until the third time and started yelling and cursing. I hadn't eaten in several days. I asked for a snack. A lady threw a plate at me. The wrapper was open and the sandwich had a bite to it. Threw it back at her. The next night was the breaking point. Again, in and out if seizures. By early evening, I was somewhat awake. Asked for snack. The sandwich was rotten. At which point I called my family to pick me up. Guess what, today I've been throwing up all day. Probably from the rotten sandwich. I should have brought rotten sandwich with me. But at the time to outrage to think about that. Go to the ER at the vet clinic before this hospital. I'll be talking to an attorney about all these unexplained brusies.

My 93 year old mother was scheduled at 1:00 for PET scan at Del Sol Regional Oncology Ctr. We were told to arrive 30 minutes early to register. The Friday before the appointment, I received a call from Del Sol stating they would do a pre-registration over the phone but we still needed to arrive 30 minutes early. We arrived at 12:30 and apparently everyone was out to lunch because I had to bang on the door to get someone's attention. That person asked us to have a seat, took my mom's ID and insurance info, then another person came in through the front door and took over ther front desk duties. She gave me forms to sign and then nothing. When I asked what was going on, she said they were waiting for the hospital to complete the registration process. By now it was 1:30, my mom is fasting and she's diabetic. This is my second time using Del Sol. This is nothing compared to my first experience. THAT was a nightmare. I was tempted to call the cops on that occasion. I live on the west side, Del Sol is NEVER on my list of choices for medical attention. I honestly cringe when they refer us here. Coming here has ALWAYS been a last resort.

The emergency room does a good job but sad to say the rest of the hospital doesnā€™t my husband had to call me at 2 am to call the hospital so they could attend him but they donā€™t want visitors because of the Covid 19 yet they do what they please with the patients del sol again had let us down. The nurses lie about what happens and never know who takes the patients Call when the button is pressed ... Get it together del sol hire real heroā€™s n nurses who actually care

I was seen in the ER on February 7th and the care was so horrible that I left sicker than when I came. The Physician and the RN never assessed me but documented several assessments on my charts that were totally lies. I met with the Hospital staff but they appeared to be a bullying me and we could not resolve the issue. Very disappointing and I'm sorry I ever pick that place

Juliana is by far the rudest nurse. The ICU care was perfectly fine but once we hit the 3rd floor with the shared room it was horrible. We asked with time if more than one family member could stay and they said YES so 2 of us stayed. Then the RN comes in later on and kicks one of us out. Then we were told not to make noise at all or turn on the light because the people next to us were bothered. Literally not even 5 minutes in the room and they were complaining. Just like they are paying for their hospital visit so are we!

I am writing because my uncle has been stuck in the ICU for the past 3 days without a single Doctor visit. He has had no update on his status or whatā€™s to come because he has no information. This is sad and very displeasing because there is no care being given. Please see to it that this is fixed and changed. Andres Garcia needs to be visited now. He deserves some peace of mind. Thank you.

My father is currently in the ICU and due to this ā€œCovid-19ā€ they are not allowing any visitors. Which I understand. You would think then that they would have good communication with the patients family. When we call they are rude. The nurses always have a annoying tone to them. My father went into cardiac arrest and was resuscitated and they tell me this information as if it is a burden for them to keep him alive. Whenever I try to get information they put me on hold for long periods of times only to tell me they donā€™t have the chart in front of them and I would have to call later. I call later to get the same response. I understand these are busy times but itā€™s been 2 months going on 3 since this ā€œpandemicā€ started and an efficient system should be already be placed in action. A dedicated line for families should be created where patients can get proper answers. Getting answers to the well being of our loved ones is a minimum at any hospital. If your nurses donā€™t want to answer questions and keep you up to date then they should allow at least one family member be there to supervise their loved one. I am beyond furious with this hospitals actions. I have also seen that there is neglect towards my father (and probably other patients) since the nurses canā€™t even tell me the last time my father has been fed. Since there is no family present nurses are more prone to neglect the patient.

Through out the years we have had several visits to the emergency room at Del Sol. We have had our 3 children there we have had several visits with Grand Mom and Grand Pa. Every time the service has been exceptional. Everyone from the Surgeons to the cleaning staff have treated us with great courtesy. If you are looking for a hospital that really cares and is not here just to collect your insurance money Del Sol Medical is the place for you. Great Job Guys!!!!!!!

I want to give a shout out to Esther, Angie, Genesis, Jake, Cassandra, Bianca, and Diane for making this the best experience possible from the Endoscopy Team. You all made was feel welcome and addressed all our questions and concerned. If we ever have to go back to a hospital, we will choose Del Sol.

I have been totally surprised and grateful and thankful for the wonderful service ofalmost every nurse; doctor and staff at this hospital. However, there was a nurse named Maria on duty the night I arrived. After the flight and two ambulance rides, I informed her I was in tremendous pain. She said she could give me a trammadol, I took that and asked for something else when she Informed they weren't there to stop my pain, only to make it where I could barely manage it. I then asked for water since I had a fever and my leg was so hot and she refused and said no orders. So because of her I sat from 10 pm to 2:30 am with no water and 10 pm to 3:30 pm with no pain medication. She is a blemish on the nursing profession and a black eye on Del Sol Medical Center.

Everyone in the ASU/Endo/recovery department were great. They were friendly, helpful and patient. The director for ASU went around and introduced himself to each patient and asked if we needed anything. My nurse Esther B was also very kind and took the time to explain the process. My nurse in recovery although I don't remember his name was also very kind and took the time to call my family member and give instructions.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This hospital (and I use the term lightly) is TERRIBLE!! The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. My son and I were taken there by ambulance due to a car accident. THEY said my son's hand and wrist were fractured due to find out later from somewhere else that they were just his growth plates. THANK GOD. Unfortunately In my case I stayed longer. But they still couldn't determine what was wrong with my leg, and just called it "hematoma". They released me 3 days later and BACK TO WORK mind you. Even though I couldn't even walk or stand. Later to find out my Tibia bone is fractured! And I have a torn ACL!! Are they blind? Trying to get any information or answers is hopeless. Calling them on the telephone is a major waste of your time. You will be transferred from one deptartment to another just to be hung up on after AT LEAST 10-20 minutes. When you are released days later and nothing was really done to HELP your illnesses they leave you cluless. No information is provided as to what was done or what you need to do Besides sending you to ANOTHER medical facility. Which is the best thing out of everything. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TRUST ME. ANYWHERE ELSE IS BETTER. Del Sol is a BIG thumbs DOWN.

While on vacation I experienced a severe asthma attack that led to a collapsed lung. I had the worst experience at this hospital and to this day I regret ever visiting this place. I wish that I hadnā€™t been so sick that I had more time to research where to go. Please do not consider going here if you or a loved one needs help. Once discharged from here I visited the other hospital and got the help I needed. The care at the other hospital was better and there billing system is better. Do not expect to set up a fair payment plan with Del Sol their billing department is vicious! I made payments up until my company closed due to Covid. Once I lost my job I called and explained I need time to figure things out and then I got sent to debt collections despite making faithful payments the whole time I was employed. Mind you I had to get discharged from the hospital then go seek help from somewhere else because they couldnā€™t provide necessary care at Del Sole despite having the recourses. This place is horrible !!! Horrible!

I can now see why this hospital is considered by many to be one of the worst in El Paso, Tx. Customer service is atrocious. First no clear instructions at the entrance on checking in. Then I am a little lost I canā€™t get into the ICU waiting room, which I donā€™t understand why that would be locked and then no one around to help. Many, many hospital workers passed by and I will say they are the most unfriendly looking people I have ever seen. Not one so much as a hello. Most avoided even looking your way. I donā€™t know maybe out of fear you just might ask them for something. Same with a couple of physicians and others. Need to be a little more friendly even if it might have been shift change. A hello goes a long way and itā€™s a good start to changing your image.

I recently had surgery done at Del Sol. My overall experience was great. The only thing that makes me think of coming back to Del Sol is that after surgery there is no private rooms, you have to share room, and restroom with another patient which I felt very uncomfortable doing. I was moved to telemetry where the charge nurse was awesome and after explaining to her that my husband wanted to stay with me, she checked if there was a private room and we were given one.

I had surgery at this facility October 18 with Dr Bebla. The registration, intake nurses and OR nurses were fine. Once I was in my room I was not taken care of at all. I had to go in the hall crying and ask for a nurses and pain meds. I also had to clean up my toilet seat where I had thrown up. It was a nightmare I could go on and on. The AM nurse ,October 19 tried to rectify things. But I would avoid this facility at all costs.

I was a transfer from HOP urgent care. I had never felt so neglected in my life. I was in pain for over an hour, my nurse was called 3 different times, it took for me to be hunched over, crying in my bed with pain for someone who was passing by to acknowledge me and call my nurse. The physician went by HOP paperwork and never re-examine me. My Nurse at the time asked me to stay hydrated but never brought me a cup. All they did was draw labs and said since your labs look better but still abnormal weā€™re going to discharge you. They asked about my experience I told them it was horrible. I said to say the least I was told to drink water and my nurse never came back with a cup and she said thatā€™s ok you can drink it from the pitcher. I was removed from My IV around Noon when my antibiotics were finished and was in pain for an Hour when my CNA cameTo vital I let her know and my nurse didnā€™t come in until I was being discharged. By then I had already taken my own Tylenol and she had the audacity to just say ok. I was appalled by the service I received but yet not surprised since most of the people I know donā€™t recommend del sol. I would not come backā€¦ ever! I had never felt so much negligence from a facility. I gave one star due to Irma charge nurse of the 5th floor was the only one who showed me some compassion and ray in the ER who was running around helping everyone who was calling him while admitting me.

(Translated by Google) My daughter went to the emergency room last night (6-25-2020) because she had wounds that were bleeding. When I spoke they told me that the nurse was with her and they were doing some tests. I told them that she needed a blood transfusion because hemoglobin was low. They told me that they spoke to me in an hour or two to let me know their condition, they never spoke to me. Apparently they did not do any tests because otherwise they would have realized that she needed the transfusion. They sent her back to the nursing home where she is alone with a patch on her wounds without transfusing her as a consequence she will have to go back to the hospital again to have the transfusion without having had need because she was already there. They did the minimum to get the patients off their backs. I am very disappointed in this hospital.
