My sister-in-law had taking the train from Ft. Worth, TX to El Paso on her bucket list so we met at at the El Paso train station on her arrival. We were surprised to see so many people there, arriving and departing. The station is very clean and the staff very helpful. You just might want to stop by and grab a brochure about El Paso or glimpse the architecture from a time gone by!

John at the front desk was very knowledgeable and helped me plan my Amtrak voyage. He knew the schedule cold and also minute details concerning baggage and pay structure. This is a beautiful station with a courteous staff. Highly recommended.

Trains always on time and staff are the finest in the south. Only Texans know true hospitality! It's like that good ol' southern comfort'.

We left our second laptop under the seat of the train at the El Paso stop. The Amtrak employees bent over backwards and really went above and beyond to get that to us as soon as possible. Ms. Lupe at the station is to be commended for giving us various ways to get it back. Thanks to Lupe, our wonderful conductor, and the employees at a gas station at the Deming stop, we got our laptop (desperately needed for school) back within two hours. I love these people. Thank you Amtrak!

(Warning: Young adults from Central Florida in for vacation) This Amtrak building is large and almost cavernous however it’s ACTUALLY PRETTY EMPTY INSIDE. The several rows of seats are pushed to the side closest to the ticket area. Thankfully (even though there were lots of other passengers waiting) WE STILL FOUND SEATS FOR US. Other than that, there’s nothing else on the floor which makes the space inside seem so empty. There’s also a SMALL AREA WITH VENDING MACHINES and tables if you crave a snack. Unfortunately, if you want to see anything from El Paso or grab a bigger meal while you wait for the Amtrak, there’s NOTHING IN THE VICINITY.

I stopped at the El Paso Amtrak station on September 29th while enroute to Alpine Texas and then again, while enroute back to Los Angeles. Anyway, this is where the burrito lady works and she greets her customers very warmly. I bought a burrito each way and it only costed me $3 which isn't bad at all. It tasted really good and was fulfilling. I will make sure to stop and purchase her tasty burrito again on my next AmTrak train trip which will be 2-3 months away.

Get off first and get some yummy burritos. They're cheap, warm, and pretty darn tasty. She had bean/ cheese and red chili potato. Bring some hot sauce with you. $3 each, bring cash, and tip her for God's sake, she's so welcoming.

Just left my elderly parents off at the station for their trip to Alpine TX. A Lady at the ticket counter --- Guadalupe ---- was the most helpful person I have come across in a very long time!!!! This was our first time there. She explained everything to us, snd even arranged a cart to help them get themselves and their luggage to their train car! Kudos to you, Guadalupe, for your helpfulness, efficiency, kindness, and respect our elders deserve, but are hardly shown in today's world! It's as though some people forget --- we will ALL be elderly one day!

This location is also known as the Union Depot, and hosts the El Paso's Amtrak train station and the Texas Tech University College of Architecture. This station is a mandatory stop for the Amtrak Texas Eagle and the Sunset Limited routes. The building is part of the National Register of Historic Places. The waiting area consists of several vintage wooden benches which are located at the lobby area. This is a quiet environment and a touristic point of visit.

Architecturally, cool! However, there is nothing within walking distance, unless you have cash as there is a burrito lady who sells good food. Ask other passengers

Nice, clean, tidy. While here, be sure to meet the "Burrito Lady," who has a good reputation for her tasty burritos. Cost is $2.50 each.

When you travel on Amtrak, you're allowed at certain stations to get off the train and wander about the platform. El Paso was one of these stations. But of all the Texas stations this train stopped at, this one was least exciting. It may be because I've been here so many times on Greyhound and have had such dreadful Greyhound experiences, I'm conditioned to get sick at the site of El Paso. Immigration is big here. Many people who want to jump the border with Mexico cross near here. This makes El Paso an interesting place. And parts of El Paso look like they're actually in Mexico.

A scenic and spacious Amtrak station reminiscent of a time when passenger railroads were much more significant across America. They did a great job restoring the station to its original glory after the misguided earlier attempts to 'modernize' it. Despite the infrequent rail service (and the excessively old posters on the walls), I feel nostalgia for a time I never even experienced - its something of a museum piece by itself. There's tons of seating inside, as well as a small lunchroom with vending machines and old school tables with stools. The only thing I would request is a public wifi network in the station.

I took Amtrak because the ticket was cheaper than greyhound, everybody says the train is faster than the bus, BS. I was coming to El Paso for a job opportunity, Thursday 9a-3p, on the spot hiring. Wednesday morning, train was 4 hours late, long story short, we arrived 2 hours after the event was over.

Fabulous example of train travel at its finest. So many of these stations have been torn down. Please see it while you can!

Paul at customer service just hung up on me,really bad customer service,Amtrak is not even trying to treat customers right. Also the bathroom my 1st class bedroom was not sanitized when I went on my last trip. This company needs a serious audit on many levels.

If you want to experience where Texas, Mexico and the Western United States meet up…and you want to do it with Americana Flair - do El Paso Amtrak! See Gods country by way of 19th Century engineering. Participate in an ailing industry and let it take you to a city that hosts conservative values meshed with West Coast dysfunction and more than a social dollop of Mexican culture. I recommend this encounter because once you are standing in El Paso you will never compare it or confuse it with any other city, ever. El Paso is unique and rolling in by train is the only way to arrive. El Paso by Amtrak.

Great historic building. Easy train access. I found the place to be quite while waiting. It's easily accessible and I looked up the history on the building while I was waiting. It was quite fascinating. I will use this station again. I never even knew it existed until I was sent there.

No vending machines. One water fountain with warm tap water. Due to Harvey there were train issues. We had an extensive layover/delay. El Paso Station is large in red brick and is a nice looking design.

'Twas a hot August day, with no A/C about. I wish there was some sort of cooling for the summer months, as it gets decently hot. We needed water every so often, as we were waiting for our car to take us home. Otherwise, it was okay.
