This was by far the worst sushi I've ever eaten. Not to mention the teriyaki chicken is nothing more than the Tyson fully cooked sliced chicken you find in the frozen food section with bottled cheap teriyaki sauce on top. The tuna on my sushi burrito was filled with silver "strings " you can't chew.... I was really looking forward to sushi for dinner tonight and I'm still hungry and totally disappointed. Total waste of $46. For anybody reading this I wouldn't even waste your time or money. Y'all deserve negative stars on this one

The sushi was ok. The Rainbow roll is great. The raw salmon was really good. I am willing to try it again. The seaweed salad was a little off.....

Every time I come here I am always satisfied with the service I receive! Elizabeth does a great job at keeping the place in shape! The restaurant is always clean, and the food is always 10/10. Highly recommend to all sushi lovers.

Sushi was quickly done. The Sumo sushi was huge and the others were pretty full, we really enjoy them, prices are good.

AMAZING! We ordered grub hub and the driver left it behind, I went to pick it up myself and the employees at Sushi Freak were so helpful. They told me that the driver left and they remade my food when I got there because it has been sitting out for almost a hour. We ordered through grub hub and they didn't have to do that but we are glad they did. Sushi was delicious, can't wait to go dine in!

Want a sushi, burrito or a poke-bowl you can visit Sushi Freak. They also have Japanese drinks and candies. I like a suchi-burrito for lunch. I really enjoy the poke-bowl half rice/spinach or green leaves. Also a Miso soup to complete dinner time. Enjoy/Provechito!

Ridiculous price for their poke bowls, the "Sushi place and lounge" has better portions and better prices. There was also a large BONE in my salmon. Also, customer serve was bad, the manager was making rude comments about customers and was cursing loudly.

Elevated grocery store sushi at great prices. I’d compare this place to Chipotle...is it as good as the real deal? No, but it’s cheaper, faster, and can still kick a craving. Probably more of a lunch or to go option. I found the electronic/dance music in the background kind of annoying but that’s just me. Good social distancing measures in place. I suggest you research the menu ahead of time because there are many options for rolls, bowls, and burritos which can be overwhelming if you’re forced to order quickly.

Run for the Franklin Hills. Service Horrible even without a single customer in the restaurant. All three staff members behind the counter were unfriendly and appeared inconvenienced by a simple order pickup. Food Sushi was not fresh and rolls were slapped together as if they were an arts and crafts project for kindergarteners. Conclusion Will gladly take my business elsewhere.

Beyond a delicious and amazing experience!!! We ended up getting the shrimp tempura, miso soup, Rock Star sushi roll and Fist Bump and Beach Bum sushi burritos and nothing disappointed!!! Highly recommend the Tick Star roll for the intricate and variety of flavor and the Beach Bum sushi burrito for the unique flavor that the coconut creates with your taste buds!!! Definitely coming back as soon as possible!!!!

First time experience…will not be going back. Ordered seaweed salad and crazy roll yesterday. Both did not taste right. Kept thinking it was me. Ate about half of each and threw the rest away. I’ve been having tummy trouble all day today.

Been there a few times, and I think my favorite dish is the Poke Bowl, their sushi is pretty good, but I think the bowls are outstanding. Everything is very fresh. My kids love the poke bowl, and their seaweed salad is very tasty. They have fountain drinks, but are neither Pepsi nor Coke, but a brand called Stubborn. They are ok, I liked the orange hibiscus the best.

Don't recommend the spicy tuna sushi and this is coming from a sushi however, this isn't it. Even sushi from Albertson's or Sam's tastes better than this. But at least staff was friendly though and the place looks clean. However, they have almost no variety of fountain drinks. MIGHT come back and try another plate.

I opened up my food to reveal this gem yesterday, oh and if you zoom in there's a hair on the ginger in the bottom right hand corner. 🤮 Over $42 spent on these two rolls.

Nice little sushi cafe. You order at the counter and it's brought to you. Sushi was really good but seaweed wrap was kinda tough. It wasn't easy to bite through.

This was the best poki bowl experience I have had. The staff was knowledgeable about ingredients containing gluten and even used fresh utensils to prep food and avoid cross contamination. They were super helpful and friendly when the kids dropped our fountain drink cups on the floor before we had a chance to fill them and provided new cups. Overall the food was great but the outstanding service is what made the experience over the top!

  • 2/5 Gomez S. 1 year ago on Google
Customer service was really bad.. didint try to explain anything about how the poke bowl works there. The spicy tempura roll was not as good. Giving them 2 stars for fast service of making the food but negative stars for food taste and service 2/5

I never been here before but it was really good and will be back, sushi was fresh and they have a different style, you can order and see the way they make your rolls.

  • 3/5 Nora B. 1 year ago on Google
Bought a crunch roll and a burrito. They were both really good, but it was a very small portion, especially the roll, so it is not worth the value. Not enough for a lunch meal, may be a side...The picture shows two meals (looks like one) for $10 each :/

I don’t know why I keep coming here. I like the sushi but not the service. I enjoy being able to customize the sushi but every time I come I’ve had a bad service experience. I’ve chucked up the experience to maybe they’re new. The next time was just outright rude from a male staff member, he basically yelled at us when we were telling him what we wanted “that’s the next guy” like I get the assembly line but how do we know when to stop and move on to the next person. This last and final time was when they’re open for curbside pickup. After getting down with my mask on they advised me to go back to my car and wait for them to bring my order out. We waited 20+ minutes and after watching multiple people drive up after us placing their order in person then going back to their cars to wait they all got their orders promptly. So I called the number on the sign. No one answers. I get this is new for everyone but then don’t play in the space of curbside if you can’t adapt to this new way of living. Moving on to another sushi spot I guess.

Im always up for trying new sushi spots. This sushi place is ok at best. Let's start with the miso soup. It was pretty bland and didn't taste very good. In the back I saw a miso soup machine which looked like a auto ice cream machine. It wasn't freshly cooked/ served. Seems like machine makes it for you or keeps it warm in there. The sushi I had was ok. I went there around 12 yesterday. There were 3 to 4 people working. The place looks like a chipotle/ fast food sushi spot. The mangoes were canned that they were using for sushi rolls. The line was fairly long and service was slow. While the sushi was ok at best what triggered me was when I got my order and sat down. As I was finishing up my soup, the cashier came upto me and asked what roll I ordered. I told her I ordered a Philadelphia roll. Guess they need up my order so she brought me the right roll and took back the roll I thought I had ordered. Although I didn't touch the sushi she took back, I had touched the wasabi and mixed it in my soy sauce. I honestly hope they didn't serve it to the person who ordered it originally. If food sits in front of someone else a good restaurant wouldn't serve it to anyone else due to health and safety. So idk what exactly they did with that sushi but looks like their kitchen staff needs much better organization and communication. This could've been an episode out of kitchen nightmares. I am not planning to go back here which sucks because I do love sushi.

Everything about this place is amazing. The employees are very courteous and the service is always fast. The price is great compared to the amount that you get. I’ve worked at other sushi places but nothing comes close to the Sushi Freak. I would definitely recommend to anyone. My mom comes here quite often as well which is crazy cause she doesn’t even like sushi which tells you a lot about the quality and taste of their food.

This is something new to the growing far west area. Highly recommend trying it out. They have the place your order and make it in front of you concept. The seating area is modern. The food tastes fresh and the prices are decent. I ordered a gunshow with a side of calamari. Definitely will return!

Worthless service. Second time in a row that I have picked up an order and they forget to give me my entire order. Next time I will be ordering from here: NEVER

I tried it here a couple of weeks ago because we were excited about a new sushi place that is much more local to us. My first impression is that it is very clean, modern and funky style (which I love), great music and staff! The amount of food you get for what you pay, though, is a bit lackluster compared to other sushi places in Westside El Paso. I didn't absolutely love it, but I would go ocassionally if I wanted to stay local.

I went 25 minutes before close on New Year’s Eve since it was one of the few places open. Everyone was so kind and professional despite being nearly done for the night. The service was truly exceptional! Thank you all!

I love this spot in the West Towne Marketplace! You get to watch them make your sushi right in front of you! The staff is so friendly & knowledgeable, they recommended me a sushi burrito & it was so good! Even though you pay for your meal before you sit down, the staff still checked in on me, which is really nice! You can also get the food to go.

Fortunately this restaurant is going to be removed from a delivery service provider because wearing a mask one millimeter above is a big deal. Keep up the good work guys

This has been our fav sushi spot in El Paso. We have been here several times and it's always great sushi, but lately the service has been sub par. Have forgotten to give chopsticks, sauce for poke nachos, soy sauce etc on multiple occasions. Plus the to bags are bad quality and end up ripping bc they stuff too much in one bag. Not sure what happened here, but would like to see improvement in these areas like it was before.

They use way too much rice vinegar. The rice is way to sweet. It takes away from the flavor of the fish. I'm sticking to the Sushi Garden!

  • 1/5 Joey M. 4 years ago on Google
Extremely disappointed I asked like 4 times if they had anything with spicy salmon in it and they said no so I just got a regular old fashion spicy tuna roll and I was sitting my friend had gotten his plate and he said he gotten a mexican or old Mexican roll, and it had everything I asked for. Top it off be warm they do not have regular fountain drinks. Something called stubborn, and it’s made my Pepsi, but other than that I would just prefer H.E.B sushi and they’re a supermarket.

This place has amazing food, and even better service. The workers here are incredibly friendly, understanding and patient. They have great accommodations for those with food allergies. The atmosphere here is really relaxing (a bit trendy). It's a great place to grab a sushi roll or rice boll.

Modern decoration inside very clean and well kept. Compared to its competitors such as pokeworks, I highly advise eating here I have worked in restaurants which contain sushi and other similar items, here the proteins are stored properly and every ingredient is fresh and offered at a great price! I made my own burrito and purchased a japanese soda for a total of $13. If you do not know much about sushi and poke I do advise you to find the menu online before as I was not given much help in choosing what to have. Other than that, the staff is very welcoming and attentive ❤️

Absolutely freaking delicious 🖤, we had the Fistbump and the Gunshow and Poke Nachos. The food was great, fresh, wonderfully portioned and brought out very quickly! And the sodas were just this amazing brand with extraordinary flavors. I highly recommend this place. Only downfall is it's so far from the Eastside and northeast 😢 or I would eat it so much more!
