Reading negative reviews makes my head hurt. It's like watching people buy a truck and complain about gas mileage. You signed up for a branchless bank. Do you know how much money we save with USAA being branchless? No, of course not because you're too busy complaining about something you signed up for. Great service and very friendly staff. If your unhappy I dare you to switch to wells Fargo or bank of America. Thank you USAA.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS ATM!!! It’s not a USAA ATM, it’s a Firstlight ATM and it robs you! I pulled out $600 and it only dispensed $540! Please people don’t end up like me

In my opinion USAA is the best bank for the military. I have banked with them for the past four years since the start of my military career and I have always been treated extremely well. They have great 24/7 support (which was extremely helpful when I was serving overseas) and all the representatives that I ever spoke to over the phone were the best customer service people I have ever dealt with. I plan on staying with USAA for the rest of my life.

USAA has no care or concerns for their customers in the Southwest! They have chosen to permanently close their El Paso, Texas Financial Center...without notifying those in this area that would be impacted. I drove 70 miles today to do business at this Center only to find a quickly made sign on the door saying they have Permanently Closed this location...and to check their website for other locations. Guess what...the next closest location is now in Colorado Springs, Colorado...because they also closed the next nearest Center in Phoenix, AZ! There is no place for me to make a cash deposit unless I feel like drive 10 hours to Colorado Springs or to San Antonio. They have really become one of the worst Bank, Financial, and Insurance Companies out there. They have take huge advantage of honest and hard working Military Families. Shame on USAA! They have lost my business (Banking, Savings, Auto Loan, and Insurance) for life!!!!

I like how clean and modern the bank is. Yes this is not your typical brick bank but more of an online. None of these banks will have tellers which is good because you have an ATM outside to take money. They don't deal with cash right away. They take money and transfer it via trucks to their main bank, that's why it takes long to have money in the account. If you are worried about long check waits then use direct deposit. I would not bank with USAA by itself, I have another bank to transfer money to and from, it makes it faster. I would have given it four stars if the wait was not so long to open accounts and there customer service was more agile. This bank was put here because we have a military base which is fine by me. This bank is more of a secondary bank and would not make it my primary unless they find a way to deposit cash faster. I use it for checking, saving and credit card but as a second option. Yes, their customer service could use more tweaking and tuning to cater to active duty and veterans. There are lots of negative reviews and I see why but with new management this bank has more potential to serve its members as it has advertised.

No tellers, check deposits take SEVERAL (mine take an entire week) days, if your account is overdrawn even $20 for more than 2 days they lock your account even when you get money back into it, the employees couldn't care less at the actual bank, the people on the phone don't know what they're doing... etc. etc. etc. I could go all day about this. I only switched to USAA because Navy Federal screwed me before and USAA was supposed to be a veteran friendly bank. They treat Active Duty ok because if they didn't there would be hell to raise, they treat Veterans like garbage because they (Veterans) couldn't care less anyway.

I actually liked the fact there was a physical location for when I got really upset with usaa but for some reason or another they shut it and 13-14 others down (this is likely all the physical locations). Hopefully they keep the atms here.

EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT! The second largest military installation in the US and no Physical Bank anywhere in the city, just a couple of ATMs 😑 I HATE how they got rid of the one at the Fountains. Not everything is better done online.

What is the purpose of this place? We need a bank. There are A LOT of soldiers here and we have USAA. This was not well thought out. Thank you for opening up a facility that we can go to but, we needed an actual bank.

I have been a member with USAA for over 15 years. My experience with the actual USAA is outstanding, but the presence of this building with USAA logo on it in El Paso is misleading.

These idiots don't even have an option of speaking with anyone in the El Paso location! Why do they even have an office here if they don't do anything??? The only time I was there they put me on a VTC with someone off site.

I got lost by the automated phone service but they called me right back and got me what I needed. USAA is great! Wish they had a brick and mortar bank with tellers and all here in El Paso. You'd think they would have one on Fort Bliss.

The customer service has always been great. But for the love of God, why can't I talk to a real person when I dial the direct number?

although we havent had many issues at the el paso (branch) i do agree you need a place that will answer the phones ... provide tellers on site ... make sure the machines outside are fixed as they only work sporadically ... and most of the time the staff has been great but sometimes not so much... it needs some ( a lot ) of work

Uhh......how about you post a phone number that is local. It would be nice for the people that actually live and work locally in El Paso to be able to call the local branch and ask questions about services needed in person, such as a notary. Just got off the phone with USAA, and they didn't even know that the branch was open in El Paso. To add to that, the representative called another section to get the number for me and was told she couldn't have it to give out. Wow!! This is the first time I will actually give USAA a big thumbs down!! Great execution on opening a branch finally, but total epic fail due to obviously not wanting to speak to customers over the phone. (I am of course just assuming this since I cannot speak to the branch unless I drive there.) Anyways....that is my silly rant. I never do this, but today that really pissed me off. Have a nice day! ;)

Terrible. I am not sure what the employees do there. Every time I have had a problem, I have to video conference with some other representative in San Antonio. Both times that I have had issues, they have gone unresolved. I was actually told that the money I deposited into my account " was not my money until they (USAA) said it was mine." Now I cannot afford gas or my water bill because they was sitting on multiple checks for over 14 days. I will be closing my account with them ASAP!

If I could rate it zero stars I would have. What a HUGE disappointment all the way around. The people were curt with me and that pisses me off big time. Why is this place open if it offers essentially ZERO service?

  • 4/5 Scott S. 9 years ago on Google
Friendly staff, though it's only an ATM facility, no bank tellers.

You money is available right away if you use the deposit machine. Navy Federal is 100% better. I've been with Navy Federal since 1997, and only use USAA as a secondary.

Worse run banking institution EVER!!! With drawing my money. I wish I could give them a negative -5 stars.

  • 3/5 Suki K. 6 years ago on Google
They are permanently closed at this location as of April.

This office allows you to video chat with a customer representative. You still experience the wait times as if you called in. If that works for you, this is your branch.

  • 5/5 Candy H. 8 years ago on Google
Everything I need is mostly online so it takes care of the few things that aren't.

  • 1/5 Frank D. 8 years ago on Google
No direct number, this is a waste of money by USAA. If you are going to offer services, the go full service. All this center offers is a way to call the main office for help. I can do this over the telephone and not waste my time traveling 30 minutes for very little help. If the company wants to waste money with these centers, give the money back to the members in the form of lower premiums. Centers are worthless.

I am note rating the branch location itself. But USAA in general. People are mad about a branch location even though the only real branch is in San Antonio. It's an online bank. Everything they do is electronic. As for cash deposits it might take long but there are usaa atms in every military town to use. Other wise use direct deposit or get local bank and set up a transfer network to usaa where you can transfer money anytime you want. As for not a 5 star rating is only because they don't always offer the lowest interest rates when it comes to house or car loans.
