👍👍 If you're into panhandling and just want a spot to kick it all day this place is it. If you're a transient that got off the Greyhound minutes ago, this is where you'll want to check-into first. If you're into panhandling and just want a spot to kick it all day this place is it. If you're a transient that got off the Greyhound minutes ago, this is where you'll want to check-into first. Rest Stop convenience store across the street relocated a few blocks south, so you WILL have to walk a little bit extra to pick up your malt liquor.

Huh..... it looks like it's been here awhile. I drove into downtown on a Sunday morning when all the businesses are closed. I wouldn't fight traffic to see it any other time of the week.

It's a nice touch to showcase the city's MexicanCaribbean ancestry, although of course the Aztecs never made it this north and this was never a calendar.

I stop here multiple times a month to give thanks, pay my respects, and give offerings to the spirits if this land for allowing me to be here and help me understand and learn.

It's just an Aztec calendar in the middle of a sidewalk

This is a small park that have several benches which they can be used to enjoy the sightseeing from three different street viewpoints (Myrtle Ave, E. San Antonio Ave, and Kansas St). During summer, the shades from trees conceal you from the sun while the wind cool you off. A great place for a family or individual portrait, selfie, or a touristic point of interest.

It's important to have a space to give voice to people of color, especially the indigenous peoples of this region.

To say this is a "park" is inaccurate. It's more of just a concrete slab surrounding the Aztec Calendar with a few benches. The calendar itself is kind of a cool attraction if you're visiting from out of town, but it's nothing more than a quick photo stop.

As good as it gets for a quick break or to eat your lunch in the middle of downtown. It's small, just s place to take a break or rest your feet.
