The drinks are outrageously overpriced. I felt that the location was in an unsafe area of town and didn't feel at ease to consume alcohol the way I would've preferred. I'm unsatisfied. Not upset about the experience; just dissapointed

Great atmosphere with very decent cocktails! This was my first time in El Paso, so I searched a little bit for the perfect place to spend the night at. The music was lit! The band really put on a show that night. After giving a chance at their gin options, I still prefer a classic gin tonic. That doesn't mean their cocktails are bad, just not my very particular style. It is kinda hard to find a sit if you arrive after 9:00, but you just wanna be patient because The Berkeley is really worth it. Next time in town, I swear I'll be back. 🙌

The atmosphere was fantastic! The couches were comfortable. The drink menu looked great, a bit overpriced ($11 for bulleit old fashioned). Would have LOVED to give this place my business, BUT they turned away my buddy who has a vertical ID. What's up with that!?! Do you guys have trouble doing math???? Pathetic. Very unacceptable for any business to turn down anybody with a valid ID.

They don't accept vertical ID's. They just lost a lot of business, especially from my group. The bouncer with a fake diamond earring (stuck in the early 2000s) wouldn't let me speak to a manager. He was also extremely rude. This place will last a couple of years. Just wait. It'll get turned into a Jimmy John's in no time.

Amazing cocktails and music. One of the best bars in downtown El Paso. My fav cocktail is the Berkley martini and cucumber rain. Service is awesome, all the staff is very educated and amiable. The bouncer Hector is so polite and attentive. Been here several times, will definitely keep visiting. Keep up the good work Berkley!

Lost business for not accepting vertical ID's.

Wonderful hangout spot, upscale cocktail lounge, no need to worry about drunk people or bar fight. This place got really busy and crowded after 9pm, strongly suggest u to make a reservation online. People start lining up outside after 10pm. Some people dressed up, some go causal. One thing I will complain about is the restroom does need serious renovation, too small not convenient to ladies

Hands down, my favorite spot. Gorgeous atmosphere, great music and entertainment, and helpful staff. I love the velvet couches and sexy mood. I love the music they play and the live bands on the weekends. I really love the black and white movies they play on the wall. Last month we watched Sabrina with Audrey Hepburn. This is my perfect bar.

Great place to go during the week if you’re not looking for the crazy party bars. On the weekend this place definitely has great live music and of course great drinks. During the week is great to come with a group of people to have drinks and lounge around highly recommended

The Daiquiri in the Dark is a absolutely amazing. The martini bar El Paso needed.

Amazing drinks with friends

This is quite possibly the single best bar/lounge I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The drinks are a perfect trifecta, where affordability, strength, and flavor collide. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is immaculate, evoking a dimly lit speakeasy, and the noise level is perfect. This easily made itself a stop for every single trip to El Paso, and it managed to leave that impression in just one visit. If you visit the city and don't make your way to this bar, you're doing yourself a disservice! The full 5 stars is well earned, and I can't wait to visit again.

They really roll out the red carpet for you here, literally they have a red carpet outside the entrance. Once you enter the lounge you feel like you have been transported to a New York City bar. The walls are all brick and the lights are all red. There are tables surrounded by comfortable couches and padded chairs you can reserve for the night. Sitting at the bar is also a great option. There was a live jazz band playing Friday night. When it comes to what they serve their drink menu is pretty extensive with liquor, wine, beer, and cocktails. Antony and Marissa were the absolute best bartenders. Every drink was spot on and consistent from drink to drink.

Friday night was booming with live music, friendly staff, the territory was amazing! The lavender drink... heavenly! This is a MUST TRY for anyone that enjoys a light, mouthwatering, refreshing cocktail! They had a silent movie playing and gave me old downtown vibes ! Perfect for a girls night out or a cozy date night!

My husband and I started with good drinks. When I ordered a specific drink it felt it had WAYY TOO MUCH ALCOHOL. It was Un drinkable. I asked for it to be replaced but the manager ( the bartender with the white beard) declined saying thats how it is made and did nothing to make it right. A merely conversation with me would have been nice. Customer service goes a long way...

This is definitely my friends and I new go to spot! The atmosphere inside is so laid back and welcoming! When we came in the doorman Tristan remembered us from the previous time we went and was SUPER friendly and helpful! He even remembered our names and recommended a few cocktails! The cocktail waitresses were taking a while to get to us, but once Tristan came in to check on us, our drinks were out ASAP and they were sooo good! Over all we had an amazing night and will definitely recommend this place to friends!

I was there for my first time & I eventually ended up upon the finest spot in downtown El Paso. My server was Marissa & I liked how she never stopped cleaning, rearranging charis, etc. She & her coworker Freddy has everything under control & made us feel very noticeable. Will be back for sure

My wife and I were here last week, and this place checks all the boxes! Cozy, dimly lit atmosphere, good DJ, fantastic drinks, attentive and friendly service, and an engaging owner. Bonus points for us- Owner is from the Bay Area and likes to talk Warriors. We initially came for one drink, but stayed a good portion of the night because we were having such a fun time. We'll definitely be back when we visit EP again.

Good place great atmosphere

We come on sunday evenings and pretty much have the place to ourselves. It's relaxing and feels so classy here. The bartender is friendly and service is quick.

This place is awesome. The staff is super friendly. You feel at home. They offer a variety of cocktail drinks wine and beer. The decor is properly matched with the historic building. What beautiful gems of buildings El Paso has that are being rediscovered. Check out the music schedule, especially look out for Josh, fantastic talent. The vibe is energetic yet sophisticated with a wide range a age demographics. Awesome place.

We went on a Wednesday night so it wasn't packed. The atmosphere was just right, low lighting, several comfortable places to sit, good music, good service, good drinks. My favorite was the Pisco Sour on Cherry Street, it was a perfect combination of sour and sweet with a hint of cherry and foam on top. The music volume was just right...loud enough to hear but not so loud that you can't have a confirmation with those around you. I look forward to going back. I'm interested to see what it's like on a weekend.

My friend and I went yesterday. It was amazing!!. Easy to follow menu. Walking in the door was so inviting and relaxing. We stayed like 3 hours great experience recommended for anyone who just like smooth music and relaxation with some cocktails

Me having lived in bustling California for 5 yrs & coming to El Paso downtown with less expectations, definitely I found ‘The Berkley’ as one of the best cocktail lounges I have come across in Texas state. Great ambiance, palate friendly cocktails, decent dj music. Reason why I gave 4 stars not all 5, because of the raw/ rough behavior of one bar tender probably one with very short hair cut, little French beard. First, the way he was spilling drink drops everywhere, glasses while making cocktails looked very aggressive & not very hygienic. Second, people sitting at the bar should be 1st priority to cater & he didn’t even look at any of the people literally waiting for 20 mins for one drink. Lastly, he snapped my cocktail glass while I was still working on it, without asking me. Manager of this bar should remove bar tenders like him who spoils the image of the bar big time.

We had the best experience this past weekend. Our server Emma was awesome! We were very impressed with her customer service. We will definitely make this a regular spot!

Great place for a more calm/chill vibe. Occasionally they play live music which is great but it can be way too loud to have a conversation with anyone. Still the drinks are good and the atmosphere is unique and worth experiencing at least once.

The perfect place to enjoy great live music! Super chill and calm. This bartender is my boyfriend's favorite as he makes the best Old Fashioned. I personally love the Lavender Breeze and Cucumber Rain. They recently added a few new drinks, and I must say they were great. Highly recommend this place! 👏

The Berkeley is a gem. I visited for the first time this weekend for a casual girls’ night meet-up with friends. Such a wonderful atmosphere—owner, his wife, and staff are a class act. Very welcoming and friendly. Perfect place for those who like a more relaxed and sophisticated environment. I will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere and excellent drink choices.

This place is a must visit when downtown El Paso. As soon as you walk in the ambiance absolutely perfect to set a relaxed mood. The lighting and decorating absolutely give this place a high end vibe of a northeast coast lounge without the ridiculous tab at the end of the night. The Specialty cocktail list is creative with a vast selection of liquor to satisfy all.

This has to be the best place in El Paso to wind down with amazing drinks! Be sure to ask the bartennder of the stories behind your drink when you order! The live music is amazing as well!
