Looks like they're now open until 10, which is much better than 9. Still pulling for 11 pm! The fish and chips are very good. The coleslaw tastes like sugar. Nice beer selection.

I ordered take out 3pc small fish and chips. Fish was a bit dry but I did take out do anyways staff is great atmosphere lively with a band. That's nice but 3 small pieces of fish and fries for $30 isn't worth it. Add some slaw or bigger pieces of fish. I'm a regular size woman so this should be filling but I was still hungry

My third time at the Kensington Circus Pub Wonderful, friendly staff, great food, nice wine, beer, and bar selection. It seemed as if most of the patrons were all friends. The only un-enjoyable thing was the sound guys plumbers crack. Three times and nothings changed, Dude, stop wearing untied sweat pants and short shirts people are trying to eat...

In a world diminished by takeout this burger and fries somehow just gets better. Maybe because they know that assembled it has a 2 minute half-life? The bun in its own bag makes the takeout even better than the in person burger. Crazy good. Eat in is fine too if you like atmosphere and people. Whatever. This burger is made to 5 star the apocalypse.

Terrific fish & chips. The fish is great. The chips are great. So is the coleslaw and tartar. I want to try more from the menu, but it will be hard to stray from the F&C. It has the reputation of a day care center. It was not full of kids when I was there.

We've been coming here regularly for years and used to really love the food but the prices have jumped DRAMATICALLY in the last year and a half and the quality and portion sizes have gone downhill. No more refills on the iced tea (server failed to mention), no more half-pints of beer. $70 for 2 burgers, 1 salad, 2 pints. Not at all worth it. Never again.

Jenny provided excellent service. The rib eye was the most delicious steak I've ever eaten.

Quaint British style pub with some traditional food. My husband and I both got the Full English Fry Up. Very tasty. Ask for the jam, it's delicious on english muffins!

Great food and atmosphere. Everyone is really nice and the food is great value. A definite local favorite to come by after work, grab a pint, and some dinner!

The perfect place for beer and food after a long night. The service is perfect. You feel like a cherished guest of honor when you come in. All the food is a slam dunk.

Live music most weekends. A little noisy most evenings unless the crowd really came to listen. Excellent bluegrass nights! Love the veggie burger and fries.

Cute little neighborhood pub. The food was delicious and the waitress with purple hair was attentive/nice/ awesome (hi if you're reading this!). The items were maybe a little more expensive than I would pay for by a few dollars, but I think I'm okay with that since the overall experience was very positive. I would definitely come again!

The greasiest veggie burger I've ever had in my life! The fries were soggy and super greasy. The plate was covered in grease at the end. For a "British pub", no British and only 1 Irish beer on draft & none in bottles. The service was good, it was clean and atmosphere was fine but the food was super disappointing.

We loved it. The food was delicious and reminded us of our UK vacation. We plan to return often

While the prices are slightly above average, the diverse menu, with options ranging from lamb and beef to fish , enjoyable atmosphere, and family-friendly play area for kids make it a worthwhile experience overall.

A perfect chill pub in the heart of Kensington. Great atmosphere to hang out with friends and down a few cold brews. Food is a win too!

Great food, live music, what's not to like? The food is great, with many options. Live music is always welcome in my book. Overall, a great place to go to with friends or family!

Service was slow. This was a drive for us, difficult to find because street signs being in poor repair. Food was ok, some needed salt, no salt on table. Small space, maybe not enough help? I really wanted to like it, but just not worth the drive.

British pub in Kensington near Berkeley. They were out of most of their selection of draft British brews which was disappointing. Service was slow, but they were unexpectedly swamped on a normally slow Wednesday due to a local power outage. They did well with the staff they had. Food was good. Fish and chips was crispy and flaky.

Nice place for a neighborhood evening bite. Excellent crew, laid back feel, great menu. TVs mounted for the sports of the moment. There is even some outdoor seating available. They occasionally have live music, too. Best casual dining in the neighborhood.

Great atmosphere, good food, good drinks, I wish they were open more often! We have young kids, so even opening 1 hour earlier would be super helpful.

Love this place! Always busy...bands Fri, some Sat & Sun. The steak is my favorite....have patience when it comes to the pork chop/steak. They are thick & takes time...the service is always hands down on point & they do the very best they can...

I googled best fish and chips near me. The kensington citrus pub popped up. I went ordered a drink and a to go order of their fish and chips. Got home and was disappointed. Chips there was maybe 10 of them and they were greasy and over done. There was about 2 tbsps of store bought slaw. And sadly 4 pieces of soggy greasy fish. Had the batter been better or cooked better would have been great. The actual fish was ok. The tartar sauce was pickes and onion it was too much there didn't seem to be sauce at all. That could be my bad as I don't know what British tartar sauce is supposed to be like.I had seriously high hopes for this place. But $30 dollars for a drink and greasy fish and chips just doesn't do it for me. Maybe there are better things on the menu. Try it for yourself.

Nice place, not necessarily a pub. Kesington circle is not as busy as it may appear, so it is nice to sit outside. Service is good, but many things on the menu they don't serve because of COVID. It felt like it would be easier if they just told us what they actually offer.

Kensington Circus Pub is a local favorite and Kensington staple! Some say the best ribeye in town... I had the pork chop and whoa it was big and thick and seasoned and cooked just right! This place is great classic pub atmosphere, live music on occasion, attentive friendly experienced excellent service and bar/ kitchen staff! Excellent place for a drop in dinner with friends and family

English pub with an East Bay flair. This place has some traditional British faire such as bangers and mash, as well as East Bay foods. In my experience they always have at least two vegetarian items on the menu. The beer selection is extensive as well. The big draw for my family is the large kids play area over in a corner. It lets us all enjoy the wait (me with beer, my 4 year old with pirate ship). There's also a large chalkboard for little artists. Come early though, it does get crowded at night and eventually the play area becomes a music stage.

The people are very friendly, always give me a warm welcome. Food is excellent with generous portions-usually take home. The atmosphere is loud, as pubs are. The music, live bands are quality musicians-but the VOLUME is MUCH HIGH, TOO LOUD. Too loud for people to enjoy the music, but are unable to hear each other in conversation. I've seen people leave because of it. It is a friendly place. Beatles song night is most enjoyable! The servers/waitresses are very efficient, taking care of menu orders with true compassion for each and everyone who enters there.

Came here and had the pleasure of Jenny serving us, the most lovely experience. Fantastic music, and vibes. She was so on top of our many orders and went above and beyond. Can’t say enough lovely things.
