This was my 1st trip traveling completely solo. I used the roof deck for yoga, sunrises and sunsets. I chillaxed in the shaded hammock, cooled in the sparkling clean pool, enjoyed socializing with the other polite, respectful guests and staff. I slept in when I wanted and walked to town center in a snap. Ben arranges all my transportation from the time I arrived until I departed and all my excursions (swimming w/whale sharks in LaPaz, Scuba diving in both Cabo Pulmo and Cabo San Lucas,) He recommended the perfect restaurants.for what I wanted when I didn’t prepare my own food at the dive house. It was my pleasure to give him my business. This place is awesome. I stayed here for a little over two weeks and had the best time. The place is not only conveniently located but it is also VERY affordable. Along with that it is also very clean and comfortable with included breakfast, pool, swing chair and hammocks in the outside communal area, a big balcony with beautiful views in the morning/sunset. Besides all that, the staff is very friendly and professional (Sergio, Angelo, Silvia <3, Neto, Esperanza, Kevin). The owner, Benoit, is the very kind and the warmest host anyone can ask for. It is a "dive friendly" hostel but don't let that confuse you, the place offers a ton of activities and if you are not in the diving community you will too fall in love with this place. Whenever I return to Cabo I will for sure be staying here.

I stayed at Ocean Tigers for my first-ever freediving experience; an AIDA 2 course. The house was a great place to stay as there were several other divers to socialize with, and the location was ideal. The course was fantastic. I reached 20m in open water, and felt safe, comfortable, and supported at all times by Benoit and his assistants. Unlike other diving courses I’ve taken, Benoit doesn’t breeze past the theory. He went as in-depth as I wanted to feel like I understood what I needed to dive. Awesome experience all around. Highly recommend Benoit and the Ocean Tigers.

Amazing place to take a freediving course with simple logistics and great on site lodging! Instructors are knowledgeable and amazing and we had an amazing time. House is located near a plethora or delicious places to eat and easy walking to the marina. I Pool on location and great hammock to read in. Very simple to hop a shuttle from the airport. We will definitely be back at some point soon!

Super cozy little hostel where you'll find friends from the first minute if you want to. If you're into diving, ask Ben (the owner) for freediving or scuba classes. Training starts right there in the hostel pool. Just wanna go snorkeling? They've got all the gear you need and will tell you where the best spots are. Bus stop right in front of the hostel but you can just as well walk the 20min to the beach. Enjoy the sunset with a beer on the rooftop patio without being in the midst of all the spring break mayhem. Great eateries/restaurants within 5 min in any directions where you can enjoy local food at local rates. If you take a shuttle from the airport make sure your offline maps work because chances are the driver will not know the hostel!

Thanks for my Free diving instructors Ben and Victor! They made everything so easy for me to get into free diving. They are professional and patient and humorous which definitely add spice to my Los Cabos trip. I learned lots of skills and the key for Freediving is relaxation and equalization. I’m trying to plan my next trip to San Lucas to upgrade my certification with them, while at the same time, I’ll work hard on my equalization techniques. Looking forward to seeing you soon !

Ocean tigers Dive House was amazing! I brought a group a friends down from the Pacific Northwest to enjoy the warmer water and do some freediving training. Really enjoyed the course. Had lots of one to one tuition and learnt a lot. Benoit and Victor are both excellent instructors. The hostel/ accommodation is also very comfortable with AC.

Absolutely amazing experience. I spent a full week with Bennoit and Victor for my AIDA 4 certifications. They were able to fully accommodate my schedule as I had limited time. I simply let them know when I was available and they sent me a completely customized schedule that allowed me to get all the required sessions in - this included starting as early as 6am if needed, or until 7pm at night. Great teaching, and they got me to a 4 minute static breath hold! I will be recommending them to anyone who will be in that area.

Abosulte great experience training with the crew at oceantiger! With the tips from Instructor Trainer Ben, I was able to make big improvements on no fin technique, and getting real comfortable with the usage of nose clip. Highly recommend any freediver in Los Cabos to visit Ocean Tiger! They are very flexible to provide anything you need for freediving!

Ocean Tiger is amazing. Ben is such an amazing instructor. He’s knowledgeable and has decades of experience. Before coming here, I have no idea what is free diving and after the session, I’m so impressed and want to learn more. I loved my stay at Ocean Tigers. The house itself is well equipped and the location is perfectly close to everything. I did a freediving course with Ben and Victor and they both could pass me on a lot of their knowledge about that amazing sport. They also helped me a lot whenever I had any questions or needed help. Had an amazing time here. Benoit is an incredible diving coach, and we had the chance to work with him as well as interact with other local dive instructors in a really supportive, safe environment. It's great to train with people who care about the amazing ecosystem in BCS, everyone was super respectful of wildlife and you could tell how passionate everyone is about being in the water. The quality of instruction was amazing, I felt encouraged to push my limits without ever feeling unsafe, which helped me break through a PR I have been sitting at for months. The lodging is great, super comfy bunkhouse setup with full kitchen, good for traveling alone or in a group, walking distance to the grocery store. It's far enough removed from the resorts and main tourist attractions to feel really relaxed, which I was really grateful for.

Benoit and Victor were absolutely wonderful! I completed the PADI Master Freediver program while I was down there for vacation. They are patient and extremely knowledgeable. While I was there I added 10 meters to my BP! Which was awe--some! They also walked we through how to use one if the equalization tools they carried at the shop. It's helped me so much on better equalizing at depth. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I can't thank them enough :)

Spent a few amazing days at Ocean Tigers Dive House to work on my AIDA 2 certification. Victor was my instructor and coach throughout the process. His knowledge and love for the sport of freediving was apparent as soon as I got to the house and started the theory session. In the open water, dynamic and static sessions, Victor coached with compassion and encouragement, helping me to pass all elements of the certification and surpass them. With his knowledge and coaching style, I was able to mark personal bests each time I performed a skill. If you have any thoughts of freediving, I strongly recommend a stay and Ocean Tigers Dive House and coaching sessions by Victor. I now have a bit of an addiction to freediving, and I hope to return soon to work through my AIDA 3.

I took the AIDA1 course originally and ended up extending for AIDA2. My in stricter Victor was incredibly knowledgeable and made the pool and ocean sessions fun and educational. I’m now confident that I can freedive safely and have a blast while doing it. And complimentary accommodations is a great bonus too!

I feel very lucky that I choose Ocean Tiger to learn free-diving. Ben and victor are the best diving instructors I have ever met. Patient, kind and very very professional. We were living at a nice and cozy diving house with pool to do static and very close to the sea where we learn constant weight. The class is very valuable and I highly recommend everyone choose ocean Tiger to learn free diving! You won’t regret it.

After wanting to freedive for years, I finally took the plunge and traveled to Cabo to do it with Ocean Tigers Dive House. I passed both AIDA2 and AIDA3 there and the experience was awesome. At the time I went, the instructors were Benoit and Victor, both of which are excellent at explaining and then coaching you to put things in practice and exceed what you thought you could do. In addition to the training/certification, they also took a couple of us for a day of freediving at Cabo Pulmo (an underwater national park a few hours away) which was unforgettable. Though apparently the conditions there aren't always as good as what we experienced, so I'd take the advice of the Ocean Tigers staff as to whether to go or not on a given date. All in all, Ocean Tigers Dive House is a great place to safely learn new skills (or expand on existing skills) and discover the world of free diving.

Unfortunately I didn’t find Ben and company until after I had filled up my schedule in Cabo but i was still able to get with them one morning. If you’re a freediver or interested in freediving THIS is the place to go. He’s incredibly experienced and an amazing teacher.

I did my AIDA2&3 with Benoit, the owner of the dive house and the freediving instructor and Viktor, the other instructor. I had nothing but compliments for the whole experience. First of all, due to COVID, I had to schedule and cancel my trip for 5 times. I probably hold the record for that - something I'm not so proud of. But once I started the course, it became apparent that all the hard work was worth it. As someone who's gone through a lot of dive training, I can say with confidence that the instructor, regardless of agency, is vital in determining the quality of the class. Benoit has it in his character to instill the confidence and calmness that you need for the sport. He's patient, kind and extremely encouraging. For a beginner, the key to freediving is relaxation, which enables you to condition your mind to revert the innate urge to breathe, when your blood oxygenation is still way beyond dangerous levels. When I was in deep water and my body was screaming for air, when I failed to equalize again and again, I heard this small but powerful voice from Benoit saying I could do it and I would be safe. It was all that belief that made me go deeper and deeper as my training progressed. So, a big Kudo to Benoit and Viktor. I will certainly go back for more training.

Just did my AIDA 2 certification with Ocean Tigers and it was a great experience. It was my first time freediving and the course was both a lot of fun and a great learning experience. Ben and his team - special thanks to Victor who was my main instructor/coach - are very professional and inspiring. Would definitely recommend it to anybody who is interested in freediving, water sports in general or indeed if you just fancy a bit of a challenge to take you out of your comfort zone for a couple of days.

Ben is a fantastic and patient master instructor. He really is the center of the experience and can teach you to improve your free diving regardless of your experience level. My wife and I have spent a good amount of time spear fishing, but Bens instruction massively improved our form, bottom time, and static breath holding. We also had a ton of fun with in class with the other participants and in the process, made a lot of new friends. We will be back to get our next AIDA certification as soon as we can.

I took AIDA2 with Ben and had my mind blown! I'm so happy I got legit instruction from a pro before my bad habits got too deeply engrained. He did a great job tailoring the course to my needs and I always felt properly challenged. He's an instructor of the highest pedigree and his years of experience shine through. I would strongly encourage anyone who wants to level up and be safe to consider spending a few days with the Ocean Tigers crew.

You'll be hard pressed to find someone with Ben's depth of experience and knowledge in free-diving. I did my AIDA 2 cert with Ocean Tigers and couldn't be happier. It was 3.5 intense days of free-dive theory, safety protocols, static breath-holds, dynamic pool training...and 3 glorious mornings out on the ocean :-). I learned a ton thanks to Ben and improved my personal best to -17 m. I stayed three nights at the dive house, and felt comfortable & welcome the moment I stepped through the gate. Strike up a conversation with new friends or just catch up on a book in the hammock, it's up to you. No expectations, no stress. Overall a great stay and I can't recommend Ocean Tigers enough. I'm still smiling and can't wait to get back for AIDA 3.
