There is no doubt that Dr. Shijoy Kunjumon is one of the best psychiatrists in Kerala. I have taken treatment from three different psychiatrists over a span of the last 8 years before consulting Dr. Shijoy, and I think it's fair to say that his qualities as a psychiatrist as well as a human being are beyond comparison to that of any doctor I've consulted so far. What sets him apart is that he is genuine and authentic (not money-minded unlike most), and is willing to go above and beyond for the well-being of his patients. He is empathetic and actively works with you throughout your healing journey, rather than just prescribing some medications. Even if you're at your worst, he will make you feel at ease so that you can open up about your issues. There was no judgement at all in his words or demeanor, which I believe is super important for anyone working in this field. The sessions with him feels more like you're talking to a friend or family member; that's just not my opinion but also that of a friend who had seen him sometime in 2020. I must say that the quality of his service has been consistent throughout. Thank you for all the help you've offered me and for your excellent contributions to this field. You inspire, and I have high hopes that you'll be able to set a good example for other medical practitioners :)
