Awesome food and service. Lexi was out waitress and was very friendly. We had the cheese burger salad. It was so good.

This place has recently gone through some menu changes and the some items that didn't change are even better than before. Nice atmosphere, with friendly staff, excellent when the weather is nice and the windows are open, it's like outdoor dining inside. Great place to watch the game too, with a good selection of beer on tap and a full bar. I highly recommend the popcorn shrimp tacos 😋. And the mac-and-cheese, with chicken and bacon, yum! If you're feeling like nachos, those are excellent now too.

First time here. Traveling and passing through town. Food was awesome and came out super fast..very friendly waitress. Definitely recommend.

Very good burgers and the pickle fries are awesome as well. Not enough napkins! I wish we could’ve had a beer but it was a business expense but the food really was good.

Excellent fish tacos. I will be back if ever in this town again. Saved this place as a favorite. I normally don't like soft pretzels & my friends wanted them so we got those as well. It made me rethink my stance on soft pretzels...very good.

The food here was delicious & huge amount. Cool inside, so we sat on patio, and waitress took good care of us. We'll be back.

I didn't have any food but every one else at the table did. Sarah was a good waitress. We had a group of 10 and she always checked in with us.

The food is always great. They do a decent job on the drinks. I just wish they had bloody Mary's. They make a drink with clamato but bloody Mary's don't have clam. Bloody ceasers have clam.

First time coming here on a Saturday, not to busy. Atmosphere was okay, definitely a bar/grill type place. Waited over 20 minutes for food. Fries were cold, chicken tenders were bland. Turkey bacon melt had no flavor. Definitely won’t be back. If I do come back, I definitely hope for better tasting food. But service was good. Both melas were under $30.00 with drinks.

Told to sit anywhere but all open tables were dirty. Bartenders and servers doing shots at end of bar at 730. Per bar manager drinking while on the clock as long as you stand at the end of the bar is okay with owners. Sje was a bit snippy as well. 3 tables had food before ours. We ordered a tenderloin and a Philly. Told it takes extra time for those items and then waitress disappeared. She had others check in but Girl bringing food from kitchen was AMAZING! Per bar manager they all wait on each table but I didn't see that with any other table. Once food received it is obvious that the oil that the tenderloin was cooked in needs changed. Pickles fried and Philly were good! Definitely recommend And flights for margaritas and anything else they offer in flights definitely need to be advertised.

I kind of have a mixed experience over the lunch hour. Took over an hour to get our food and the place had several empty tables so I don't think being too busy was an issue. We didn't order anything but a couple of sandwiches. After taking our order, waitstaff check on us twice. Finally, apologizing our food came and it was good and hot. They did comp the meal for the long wait without us asking for it to be. So, if not for the long wait for food, it would have been a good experience.

Good job to the two other waitresses working the patio tonight They were able to serve three other tables each while I waited for my waitress to come take my order after studying the menu and knowing exactly what I wanted my waitress my asked me if I was ready to order and quickly informed me that there would be a half hour wait so I decided to change my order to a simple to go appetizer of beer nachos with chicken as she wrote down my order she said thank you for being so patient 45 minutes later another waitress came out with my to go order and set it down in front of me and started to walk away I had to stop her and ask her for my bill a few moments later she came back with my bill

I was nervous to order catfish because I'm picky (hate soggy catfish). Long story short, the catfish at Godfrey's was a great choice- one of the best catfish filets I've had in years. Highly recommend.

Had a Cobb salad and requested regular cheese instead of Bleu, cucumbers, and avocado. Needless to say it was made to perfection. Friend had a ribeye sandwich and said it was perfect and ordered the same thing the next day for lunch. I had the B.L.A.T. we were from out of town and this place felt like home. Staff was super friendly. Service and atmosphere was great. Only con about his place is if you go for lunch expect to he there for the entire hour if it's busy. I still give it 5 stars. Great place to eat in Ottumwa.

Football games on the TV's, cheese burger and cheese balls, couple beers. Cool atmosphere, good people good hospitality. Gave my teenage boy his first Job.

Took my parents there for an early anniversary dinner. Our fish & chips were decent, batter was a bit heavy & over cooked & you couldn't tell they were beer battered. My Dad had the pulled pork & loved it. My Mom had the black bean burger. She would have appreciated a different healthy choice for the side, instead of fries & could have done without the avocado. Service was acceptable, but could have done without the boss scolding people in the kitchen regarding keeping their hands to themselves or next time they'll be fired, loud enough we could hear them in the dinning room over all the sports on TV. I could have done without the tvs too. Too sports bar ish for my preference. Food was worth a second visit, but the atmosphere won't make it our first choice.

I love going here on Sundays to watch NFL games the service is amazing and food orders are fast for sure. All around it’s definitely worth it! I’ve been there a few times and now making it my permanent place to go.

So this food it great to start off with…..BUT when we were there we saw someone vaping in there. Not cool. Come to find out she was an employee! Double not cool. Won’t be back if i see this again.

Loved this place. Atmosphere was pleasant and friendly and they treated my son as his own person; talking to him just as much as me. And when he put his stuffed animal sloth in a seat of its own, they brought a glass of water for it because he looked parched 😊 My chicken was a little dry but overall food was good.

Food was good. This place was a lot better a couple years ago. Staff put their friends above other customers. Been there multiple times and the waitstaff were rude and have even forgotten about my table while they were hanging out with their friends at the bar. The owner is nice but that’s about it anymore. Sad to see such a nice bar in town but only certain types of people feel welcome.

Food was fantastic. Lots of televisions. Would give it 5 stars except the atmosphere is very noisy. If the weather permits I suggest eating outside.

Tried to get something to eat. Sat ourselves as that is what apparently you’re supposed to do. Never got served. Saw 2/3 other tables sit after we did and receive service before us. Finally, just got up and left as they apparently cannot handle patrons seating themselves. Perhaps they need a better system.

The food was good 7/10. The atmosphere whas great 8/10. The staff was fantastic 10/10 I wish I would have made a point to remember my server's name because she was awesome. I'll be back next time I'm through town for sure.

I have only had takeout but the food is always very good which is usually a steak sandwich and fries. Always polite and cheerful when taking a telephone to go order and usually it takes less than 20 minutes to fulfill your order. Definitely recommend!

We've been looking for a good bar and grill. I think Godfrey's might be the place. I had the fish tacos which were really good. Wife got the bacon cheeseburger that looked fantastic and she really enjoyed. Other menu items looked like a return visit will be necessary in the near future. My only (slight) complaint would be the beer selection. I would have loved a good stout or porter to accompany my meal.

It would of got 5 stars if we could of had our first server because she was great very friendly and helpful!! But she must of been off work before we got done and did not get another server! Had to go to the bar for another drink and to get our check!! Nobody wanted to wait on us they were compaining at the bar who was going to wait on us!! I will say the food was great!! We will come back because of the food being great! Hopefully our service will be better next time!! We loved the the garage doors being open!

Cocktails were the best I have had in a very long time. The food was fantastic. Service was exceptioal.

Not too bad. Not that great also. A sports bar. The server gets 5 stars. She was on top of it. The food. 3 stars. I had the fish tacos. Pretty good but the salsa was weak. Cilantro would have made it much more flavorful. They should also be served in a hard corn taco shell, not doe flour blah. Seriously was flavorless. The margarita. Tasted stale. Because the tequila was cheap. To remedy that use cheap tequila and bump it up with a better mixer and a half shot of cointreau. That would fix the taste chop chop. Sorry about the snobby attitude but these things would definitely help.

Stopped in here after eating dinner at another restaurant. Wanted to get a few drinks and unwind from a hard week of work. The service was good, wasn't Overly crowded, but had a nice atmosphere. It a nice little sports bar, had several different TVs. It also has an outdoor patio for guess to sit and enjoy the evening air.

Unless you just want to drink & watch the game, don't bother. Used to have good food & decent service, but that's too much to ask for these days. Wilted lettuce & poorly seasoned chicken, the po'boy is terrible, can't get your sandwich the way you ordered & our waitress even refilled a strawberry lemonade with regular lemonade. If you want a better meal, just go to McDonald's. It's only a few doors down & you'll get a higher quality meal. I only gave them a star because no star isn't an option.
