This is a nice place to have in town. I just have a few complaints. When you buy a family membership so your children can play basketball or volleyball in the evenings but all courts management has rented out all evening for other events. They are supposed to leave one court open but don’t always do that. Also the hours are horrible!!! They like to shut down DAYS for the holidays! I’d would suggest maybe putting magnetic key cards on the door so people can workout when it’s convenient for them not the management. This town needs a 24 hour fitness if this place can’t provide.

You would never guess how big this place is when you are just driving by. There is a large weight lifting area, a 200 meter track with 3 basketball/volleyball courts in the middle. There is a very large indoor pool, plus a large outdoor pool. Everything is clean. This is one of the best rec facilities in southeast Iowa. They have daily and monthly rates with discounts for seniors.

The pool is the filthiest I've ever seen; the same bandaids and pieces of debris can be found at the bottom for weeks and weeks. The showers are filthy, with the paint peeling off the walls, the shower is offering zero privacy, and a floor that seems to never be cleaned. As far as cleanliness go, they also don't seem to ever clean the older weight rooms.

Management needs to work on training some of it's employees on how to communicate with customers in a professional and respectful manner. One employee was rude and aggressive. I expressed my disappontment to the manager. The response from the manager was that the employee is loud and always like that. I don't think this is a good answer.

Better than most gyms I’ve been to, and considerably cheaper; with indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and large indoor track!

If you want to swim use the hot tub great place to go as well as the track/workout area's

Great pools and facilities! My family has been using the rec center off and on for years and have no complaints. Prices are reasonable and they always keep the facilities VERY clean! The outdoor pool has a kiddie area but also a slide so makes it perfect for kids of all ages! We are so thankful to have such a great well kept pool locally! We've never been disappointed here.

Love the new addition to the rec center! It will be nice to eventually get new equipment and perhaps a better set-up in the weight rooms (it feels crowded once more than 6 people share the main weight area). The track and basketball courts are superb and the pool is still perfect. I love working out here and I hope they continue to improve upon it!

A great place to go workout. They have a gym with two sections full of weights as well as a track area with basketball courts. Lots of space and not too busy.
