The garden is absolutely gorgeous! There was barely anyone around when we visited, and it was definitely a sight to see! I definitely recommend going on a day when it isn’t busy. Definitely visit if you get the chance!
Very beautiful and relaxing The best Japanese garden I've seen so far. A very nicely arranged and relaxing environment in which I would happily spend a lot of time if I lived nearby. They take good care of it, because every detail has its role in the creation of such a wonderful garden. You feel aesthetic perfection and you get the feeling that time stops and you are just there and admire everything around you
This Garden is not big. You can walk around it in 20 minutes. But at the same time, there are many picturesque locations here. Everything is clean and tidy. I recommend planning a visit to this place together with other attractions in UBC.
This garden is absolutely stunning. Feels like I’ve been to Japan. We had a wonderful weather condition it was slightly raining with all the greens coming to life even more. I felt so at peace and was even able to spot the very first cherry blossoms. Such a wonderful place to have a stroll or just sit and take in some sunshine. We went right after visiting the MOA. So it makes the trip to UBC worthwhile.
Japanese style peaceful garden. Good to get an idea of Japanese plants and enjoy the tranquility. Reasonable in space with a small waterfall.
Stunning & (we were advised, not being experts in this field) authentic Japanese garden. There is a tremendous sense of tranquillity. The garden sits very comfortably amongst the surrounding indigenous Canadian conifers. The overwhelming impressions are of different shades of green, different leaf shapes & textures, the contrasting forms of trees & shrubs, many of them carefully pruned. Great place to get an idea of what Japanese gardening is about.
Iv lived in Vancouver my whole life and never k ew this park was here. Perfect place for an afternoon date, walk through the park and soak in all the beautiful views. Went on a Monday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy. Great place to have photos taken for a wedding or graduation
One of the most serene places in Vancouver and my favourite spots to find peace and tranquility. A great place for reflection.
