Chicagoland should feel very lucky to have this park to visit. You feel like you are on vacation. The equipment is top of the line and the crew consistently checks on climbers to make sure they are tightened up and safe. Everyone in the crew that we came into contact with were helpful and polite. The park is very clean and maintained. Things to take note of: -Bring Leather gloves with you that fit well and a bandana. (These items are also on sale here if needed). -There are some picnic tables and benches for your family while others are climbing. -You can bring food and there is a restaurant on the East side of park. -It’s also free to walk around the park. -Bring water bottles that have a solid loop to carabiner into your climbing gear. -I suggest the 8 Towers Adventure as a great way to get to know the climbing structures. This is not for the faint of heart and will test you to your core. Although, if you fall off an obstacle, you can be assured that you are safe. The double lock-in safety system is amazing and will not allow you to remove both safety straps at the same time. -Mountain bikes are for rent and the course is sick! -Paddle boats, single and double kayaks are also for rent. It’s hard to get them on the phone. You will have to go online to sign up and also sign a waiver. This can all be done in person day of depending on availability. Like other reviewers have said. It’s a great place to spend quality time with your family. We obviously can’t wait to return to The Forge!! Thanks for bringing this great 300 acre adventure park just 20 miles outside of Chicago.

10/10 recommend!! I went with my wife and had a blast the staff was really nice and helpful! The obstacle course was a blast and physically challenging in the best way. It can be fun and easy or fun and hard depending on which course you choose to engage in. Laser tag was a definite hit and almost as fun as the climb! I definitely recommend buying a water pouch with a clip instead of bringing one unless yours has a clipping mechanism. Also side note for the adult groups like mine you can not drink until you finish ALL activities. The lady at the concession stand literally cut the activity bands from my arm when I ordered a beverage but honestly you don’t need it because this place is just good fun! Definitely wear comfortable clothing and shoes and a hat proved really useful for me. If you’re considering this as a day trip DO IT!

Great place for some adventure for all ages. Kids enjoyed the jumping pads and water tag. Had a nice time paddling on the canoe and kayak. Missed zip line and climbing activities due to time. Will go again to complete those activities.

Definitely 5 stars for fun but there are few things that can be improved. It was fun filled adventure trip to me and my 13 yr old son. It would have been nice if there was more details on how to prepare before visiting the place for first timers. Gloves- The gloves provided at the location was overpriced. If a brief information of what kind of gloves are allowed would have helped. personal belongings - I was told that I cant carry car keys, wallet and cellphone and felt I was forced to rent locker just for these three items. But when I got the bag/ pouch for water bottle, I felt I could have carried phone and car keys along with me. The locker money was totally a waste. photos and video - This is a great adventure and people would love to take photos and videos. It would be nice to see supporting information on how to safely carry cell phone if no

Great family outing. I purchased tickets for me, my husband, our sons and their wives for the climbing adventure. It was a blast! We all had fun and enjoyed the variety of challenges. Our age range is 28-58. My husband and I could do everything on the course and even conquered the most difficult tower. The Forge has good safety protocols. The climbing course is well organized and there are several different routes you can take to the top depending on your level. I would recommend wearing a bandana under the helmet to absorb the sweat, because you'll get a workout! We will definitely be back to take enjoy the other activities the Forge has available.

Second time here and I had a blast every single time. My son is 11 years old and he absolutely loved it as-well. I would probably choose a cloudy day and a day that’s not to hot. Other than that the experience is worth the money.

Such a an amazing venue. My five year old and us loved it. They staff are amazing, patient with us in experienced outdoor adventure seekers and spent the time to teach us how it do things at the park. It was such a fun family day and hope to be back soon. I would highly recommend going and doing an all day explorer pass.

The best adventure park I have done. The equipment is really new. The staff are so responsible and are everywhere to keep you safe. Every thing is to make sure you are safe and having fun. I definitely want to do it again. Eight towers will definitely exhaust all of the possibility to entertain yourself!

This was a good place to go. I enjoyed the time I went was early on sat. I did not know the area so there was the parked in lot 1 but there is a closer lot. Then check in was easy. I had reservations and it went smoothly. Staff here is fantastic very helpful and friendly. The signs are a lil confusing. We did end up finding everything but it took a little while and I had to have somebody help me. We enjoyed the lazer tag, archery, axe throwing, Dino bike, paddle boats l, they even had nice bathrooms. The scavenger hunt looked fun but we did not manage to do that.

Fun place. You can spend a day here, if you have the energy. Advise: Bring your gloves(full finger), cap/bandana, and water. They give you a pouch to carry water bottle. Otherwise it will cost you $7 each.

Great place for a birthday party! Kids loved the park and staff were amazing and helpful! The staff were very tentative to keeping the park clean and safe for all of the kids. Amazing fun! I’m a mom and made it through the ropes, zip line and the climbing wall! This is a place for the whole family 😅 you will love the sweat!

Amazing adventure a great day! Make sure you bring a water bottle because you will absolutely need it. I brought mine and went through 3 bottles. I tried 4 hexes and they were all fun! Some of the obstacles were repeated but varied slightly. Make sure you take breaks in between each climbing zone. The zipline at the end was definitely one of the best parts need more ziplines across. If you are looking for a day of climbing fun with some adrenaline this is the place!

This place is amazing! The staff is super kind, energetic, and helpful! This was our first time Climbing/Ziplin. They made us feel safe and confident! Once you do the climbing you will build the confidence to do the zip line right over the water!

How to enjoy the Forge: 1) Show up with outdoor clothes and sunscreen 2) Get briefed on safety by the wonderful staff 3) Roam around the available challenge structures at your will! There’s also staff members on site to help you if you need. 4) Ride the giant zip line across the lake and enjoy a snack or beer to end the day. This is the best challenge course I’ve been on, 9/10 would recommend.

The Forge was an amazing experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Granted I was only there for the open swim. The quarry was awesome to swim in. Very clean. We would definitely come back to enjoy the entertainment

This was an amazing experience!! I had a ton of fun, challenging tests of agility and endurance. What also made it a really good time was the staff. I want to shout out to Sydney for going above and beyond - made my weekend! Rock climbing wall was the highlight of my time. Will definitely be going back!

The most FUN we’ve had! Highly recommend the visit. We spent 5 hours here and didn’t want to leave. All the staff was so friendly and polite. Nathan and his twin were really helpful and sweet. Hunter at the kayak was also very accommodating and friendly.

It's a brialliant place. Lots to do. It's well organized, safe and the staff are very friendly. The whole family has had lots of fun. Climbing, zipping, shooting (archery), tagging (laser, mac ball water tag!!) .. etc.. definatly worth while. The kids love the summer day camp. They came home dirty and exhausted.. but loved every minute!!

This place is huge with many activities you can choose from such as laser tag, zip lining, kayaking, etc.. I engaged in a nature walk along one of the paths. It was a man at one of the trailers' stations who was kind and helped me to choose a path so I could not get lost . On my walk, I met two females walking around my path . I continued walking with them . They walked the different paths about 3 days a week, including during the winter months . I saw beautiful waterfalls and a huge white bird. I was told snake comes out sometimes along the trail. The wonderful ladies would have taken the path where you could view the ponds but choose not to become of the large amounts of mosquitoes along that path. No amount of bug repellent will save you from the attacks of the mosquitoes 😤. WALKERS BE WARE! Some of the paths were gated and locked, so we took alternate paths . We saw one guy hoped the fence to continue his jogging along his path, yelling to us, "This makes no sense."! Doing the day most gates are supposed to be unlocked.. I will go back again.

I had the pleasure of going to The Forge today in Lemont IL for a full day adventure! Google guided us and our shoes were tied tight to pursue a gamut of activities ! We arrived early 9:30 they open at 10 and used the bathroom prior to participating. The bathrooms consist of standard as well as port a potties and were clean . I only used standard . There is a gift shop that we supported 2 gatorades $8.00 nonetheless we were in need of hydration . You can bring water bottled in a container which I suggest! Most of the stations we went to weren’t open yet, however workers arrived in a feasible time . We started off with archery , then laser tag ,Dino carts , archery tag ( no face shields used, be careful no face aiming ) and axe throwing . We wanted to do water paddling but there isn’t a time limit on usage and we waited a long time and patrons were still using them so we left. I do have some take away below. 1. You’ll be given a map and pretty much on your own .. 2. Wear comfortable clothing , shoes, bring water and for smaller children snacks!! If u purchase I listed sample pricing 3. U can bring your own bike and helmet 4. It was raining for a small portion of the am mosquitos got me! Use repellent If the day dictates & u may need a towel! There are lockers!!! 5. Have fun!!! Employees are nice & welcoming!!!!

I had an amazing experience today! The check-in, training, and climbing staff were all positive, helpful, and happy!!! I was disappointed that 3 sets of towers and the extended climbing tower were closed due to low staff 😞 otherwise 5 stars from me. I'll be back for sure!!!!

Food, Drinks, Music, Sunset. Atmosphere is great for the Dine and Drink crowd. Activities are pricey and need to reserve % of capacity for walk up crowd. Need more flexibility.

What a fun place! All of the activities are super fun and I thought very safe. Definitely make sure to bring a bottle of water with you and a phone to take pictures, since you can get a little pouch to put things in. Dress very athletic and enjoy!

Incredible ropes course & rock climbing. There are a ton of great features and enough variety to have you busy all day. Different "hexes" and towers for different skill levels as well. For an extra challenge, the ropes course ABOVE the zipline platform is exhilarating, but not for the faint of heart. The crows nest up top is the tallest feature here, and the climb down is terrifying. We were the only ones to try it the entire day because of the height. It's simply awesome. We plan to come back for the mtn bike downhill trails and pump track. The only reason I'm not rating 5 stars is because a bunch of the courses are constantly closed. One stand alone giant tower (near the mtn biking) and a hex course are reserved only for corporate guests (I've never seen them in use), and the backside and top section of the main rock climbing tower (near check in) have been closed off every time I've come here! There's plenty of staff standing around who could easily open these areas to reduce crowding, and reduce the very very long wait time to zipline (we waited 70 minutes on a Sat).

We experienced the dinner in the globe and it was wonderful. I was really surprised how warm the globe was inside. The food was top notch. We had the hot cocoa once we got in. Very delicious. The staff are all very kind and welcoming. First time here and I will definitely be back. Place is huge, expect some walking and a ton of fun.

What a great place! Much bigger than I thought. It’s like your in the middle of the woods and there’s all this cool stuff to do. This is a very rustic woodsy and magical place created for all ages and a unique diamond in the rough. Music & food, live music, film night under the stars, zip lining, climbing walls, obstacle courses of all sorts. It’s hidden away and perfect for anyone that needs a outdoor adventure or to escape all of the technology that has taken over our lives. The staff is excellent and always happy to help. We will be back. Oh, and get your kids signed up for Camp! WOW!

Had a great time with my 6yo & 4yo on the ropes. They were nervous at first, but then didn't want to leave, they were having so much fun. We went on a colder day and had the place to ourselves. Free to enter, free parking, and you only pay for the events you use. We look forward to going back in the warmer months to make use of the paddle boats. Love the natural setting, and can imagine watching all the events from the well-placed tables and fire pit seats. We'll be back!

I'll tell you, this was our first time there and unfortunately it was the last day of winter Globe dining! If we would had known about this adventure earlier, I'm sure we would have visited more often. The staff was unbelievable, professional and very knowledgeable! The food was spot on and exactly what they said they would serve! The Foundry (at The Forge) winter season Global dining is definitely a destination to put on you bucket list!

We had the best time and will definitely be back. All the employees were so polite, kind and helpful. You can spend all day and you wouldn't get to do everything. We brought our Junior girlscout troop and they all had a blast.

What a great place! Took 9 graduating high school seniors here. Did the explorer pass and they loved it! Kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, archery, axe throwing, laser tag - kept them busy the whole 7 hours they were open. The location is gorgeous. The employees are super friendly and competent. Even the burgers and hot dogs were delicious. Plenty of seating, most with umbrellas for shade. This was greatly appreciated since we brought my 80 year old mother, who also enjoyed the day just sitting by the water. I took a chance and booked this after seeing a facebook ad. So happy i did!

Nice experience but one and done is the theme here. Once you do this, there really is no need to go back. We had fun, got some bruises, but enjoyed our time. Many things were shut down due to low staff as they returned to college but they still charge full price when we were not even able to do many of their elements. Also their drinks and food are insanely priced and they don’t allow for outside food or drink. Now you know why. A small can of coke was $3.30 to out into perspective. I would recommend this adventure although at least once.
