It’s a great boardwalk if you’re in central jersey. There are restaurants that have good food and a small carnival that always goes on there. Great place to run and/or take a walk. Also the beach is nice and clean and have access to all the amenities required. Parking gets crazy sometimes. Even getting in and out is a hazzle. And the entrance to the beach is $9 for adults over the weekend.

Even though it was out of season (October) and very overcast, the view was stunning and there was plenty to keep us busy. The history and restoration of the old Convention Center and the art installations were enough to occupy our afternoon.

The Asbury boards are smooth for walking and riding and have much to offer for people who appreciate an incredible musical scene, artwork, and adult entertainment—several Bars and Restaurants. Convention Hall and the old Carousel House buildings are historical gems and a must-see.

Asbury Park has become a destination for beachgoers since its revitalization. Hotels, restaurants, music venues and historic landmarks line this famous boardwalk. We visit often with friends and love the beautiful beachfront. A hidden gem of the New Jersey shore!

The Asbury Park beach and boardwalk of today are not the same ones I knew growing up. Today they are full of businesses, beachgoers, foodies and people who just want to enjoy the sounds of the waves. The boardwalk has been refurbished, and there are many new restaurants and hotels. In addition, to famous landmarks like the Stone Pony where Bruce Springsteen got his start. The boardwalk itself is rather accessible, it could get bumpy at times. There is access to the beach as you can see in some of the photos. However, it only will let you go halfway to the water. This is great for a day trip, or a weekend trip so long as you don't stay too close to the beach as the hotels are rather pricey. Head on out and enjoy yourself!

It was a very nice day in Asbury today. There was a Lobster Race going on, not real lobsters, but people running or walking a 5K to raise money to help protect and restore the shore. There was a band playing on the boardwalk. There were some places to eat on the boardwalk, but not everything was open yet. This is one of the beaches on the Jersey Shore that dogs are permitted on the boardwalk during the off-season. The Asbury off-season is Sept. 15- May 15. Sunset Lake Memorial Park is two blocks from the boardwalk. It's a tribute to the men and women of Asbury Park who served in their country's Armed Forces in time of war. You need to pay for parking on the street year-round, but parking lots are free off season.

Definitely beautiful and a nice boardwalk. Charging to enter will never be normal or right (why tf does govt take our money for taxes for? fyi, they charge more kids!) Food a little on the high-end as far as prices go, but many places to eat and get a drink.

I never thought that this boardwalk could turn to a great place again... I was here almost 8 years ago and I'm not saying that wasn't a pleasure being here but now... OMG I totally love the vibes , the atmosphere and the people! I live in Long Branch but this boardwalk has something that I love 🥰💕

Love coming here early in the morning and walking the boardwalk. It's so peaceful and serene. The old architecture of Convention Hall against the majesty of the ocean, sun rising above the horizon just brings a sense of zen. During the day, it's a fun, busy place with great eats and views. The beach can get a bit crowded, but it's well worth coming and checking out.

Long boardwalk that connects to the Convention Hall. Visitors were down to earth 🌍, Beach 🏝️ almost litter free , and plenty historic sites, gift shops , and advertisements to pick and choose from while walking on the trail

My happy place!!! 😊😊😊😊 I've been to a countless number of East Coast beaches, big and small and none compare to the way I feel when I am at Asbury Park. This is truly the place where down the shore, everything is alright. Asbury Park is magical. A sweet spot suspended somewhere between past and present where life can be simple and dreamy. The boardwalk is a place where history sustains and the future is bright. The boardwalk and beach are very clean. Lots of parking but beware the Parking Enforcement -they've pinched me a couple times for expired meters. You can walk everywhere is Asbury. It is a family friendly 👪, inclusive 🌈 and safe ✌ place. The boardwalk has a great variety of eateries. Also lots a fun shops. The Convention Hall, The "Casino" and The "Carousel Building" are architectural landmarks along the Jersey Shore. Landmarks like The Stone Pony, The Wonder Bar, Asbury Lanes, Deal Lake, the paddle boats and Ocean Grove are short walks away. And asides from the beach, the boardwalk has activities -mini golf, a splash park, retro arcade and palm readings. Asbury holds a special place in my heart and after a visit I'm sure you'll find it special too.

My pictures are in different seasons- Both sides evaluated…. Sunny Pics- If you love tons of people around, loud music and a busy beach, great place to go and a lot to do May through Sept. do you like the quiet atmosphere with a great walk and great views? Come in Late Sept to March. I would suggest parking in Ocean Grove (next town) and walk around town first to look at the houses, then walk their boardwalk to Ashbury Park. Nice place to take pictures, get your steps, take in the nice sea air. I recommend going both season!

Saint Patrick’s Day parade and the place was jumping. It was cold, but warm in the sunshine. Who doesn’t love a parade?! High school bands showing their talents, VFW’s, soldiers, mummers, bagpipes all in one place celebrating in green and white!!

Love this beach and boardwalk! This is the best beach/boardwalk in Jersey because it is the most progressive, open, loving, and colorful place. All other beaches are white and trumpy and all you see is American or confederate flags. Not here! It's all love and the art here is amazing too. Many great businesses to support here as well!

There are so many beaches in jersey shore and asbury park is one of the good ones around . Belmar , point pleasant and so many others . I like the boardwalk and shops around . Lots of places to eat and drink. Beach is good , especially in the evenings and sunset ! Parking is the worst thing here .. sometimes , we had to walk about a mile for parking spots . Even with paid parkings it’s crowdeddddd . If not for parking , this is a 5 ⭐️ spot . Overall a good experience though …

The artsy nature of Asbury Park offers much for the eye. The place is not over-crowded and so much fills the eye as you look around through the height of summer vacation. One of the better tourist areas on the Jersey shore, even if they still charge money to use the beach. The fun is seeking out the various murals throughout the boardwalk area. Will visit here again!

Always packed with people and food prices are crazy high everywhere you go. You're not allowed to walk dogs on the boardwalk and you're not even allowed to toss a football back and forth on the beach???? Nonsense. This boardwalk is best during the night time when there's less people around. Lots of bars to choose from and a nice breezy walk across the waterfront.

Love Asbury Park all year long! Great beach for the summer! Lots of murals to enjoy all year long. There are featured art installations throughout the year! There is always something new to enjoy here! Variety of restaurants to enjoy cocktails and food! You can enjoy your typical boardwalk treats ice cream and funnel cakes! During the summer. Metered street parking. Public restrooms available.

This is most happening beach I have visited in NJ after Atlantic City. Good night life. One side beautiful beach and other side full of Restaurent and pubs. Parking is painful and I didn’t find changing room after bath.

Beautiful beach, and breezy, wide boardwalk. Strong waves that may be great for surfing. No lifeguards, no swimming. Lots of restaurants and shopping around the convention hall. Intriguing graffiti and art along the way. Bathrooms were clean too. Plenty of parking, both free and paid.

Went on 4th of july day in the morning and it wasn’t crowded in the morning around 10:30 but it was hard to find street meter parking. We ended up parking in the lot near by broadwalk and something i didn’t liked is when we entered the parking lot they mentioned 25$ for all day parking. When we left, they changed the sign and charged everyone 50$ per car. Entrance fee for the beach was 9$ each adults. The beach was great and clean. We rented a umbrella and it was only 10$ until 5pm. I would recommend going there early so you can easily find parking spot.

Well known spot but a nice secret to take a family and relax for the day or more . I went with my children and was an amazing time. We at at the TV famous Cousins lobster 🦞 had lobster rolls to die for !! Also ice cream next door. Like all the best parts of OC and AC together in one without the gambling and smoke around .... recommended for a future visit for anyone.

Spent Sunday afternoon on the beach with some friends. The beach was clean, not overcrowded, and we were all treated to a group of people being Baptisted! I wish I would of thought to get a few pics. Further, it was only $9 per person for the day. You can bring a cooler for food and drinks if you want, or there are dining options on the boardwalk. The only possible drawback is the parking, so make sure to go early or bring a bike to ride from your car to the beach. 🏖🌊🌞🐳

I think that the Town is really starting to move in the right Direction. For one the Real Estate Empire is Super and Growing... when there is all new Architectural Buildings it's a Nice feeling. The Multi-Million Dollar Landscaping in the City is Beautiful from one end to the other, it's amazing, most along the Beach. The Arts, The Music, the Restaurants are super Nice friendly great food nice atmosphere, fun, many Ocean views. Asbury Hotel is really clean and fun with music and care...the Asbury Park Police Department has everything covered and I see no problems. The Asbury Park Police are visible and they want everyone to enjoy themselves in a peaceful way. I see them all the Time. With crowds like this here it's Vital to have good Great and many Police Officers around and they are Visible. I find that comforting. I have been helped to many times to count. Thankfully!! Clean and beautiful 😍 And my dog loved walking the boards, meeting other dogs and their humans. We even shared dinner at Playa Bowls outside. I have been visiting Asbury for over 50 years, and my daughter was married there on the beach. Beautiful ❤️

Although we didn't come here for the purpose of the beach, I had never visited Asbury Park and we were close enough for me to check out the infamous boardwalk. So many fun options for food, treasures and even a cool arcade. It almost felt like I was in the past, seeing the well loved exterior eroded by ocean air. While we didn't step onto the beach, the sand looked clean and well kept as people played with volleyballs and kids ran around. It was a very relaxed environment! My favorite part (of course) was taking photos of the incredible art that's been proudly displayed on the walls of the abandoned area of boardwalk. It was like walking a free outdoor art museum. If you're in the area and have the time to stop off and check the art out I highly recommend! Looking forward to going back for more exploration when we have the time to spend.

I was really looking forward to visiting this boardwalk and much to my surprise it did not impress as I walked the boardwalk all I kept smelling was a strong smell of urine. Not a long strip of shops like other boardwalks and very pricey not at all impressed. I did get to visit the stone pony which was kool but even that didn't offer many options in sizes and styles of t-shirts and Hoosier. For sale

I always enjoy the Variety of things to do here. You can just walk on the boardwalk, go shopping, lay on the beach, go swimming in the ocean, take your kids to the sprinkler park, eat at a nice restaurant, or get a satisfying snack, a refreshing drink, and so much more. Enjoy every minute. 😁

Love to take my kids here and walk down the boardwalk. Historical sites with new work being done over the years. Jungle Gym on the beach for the kids and restaurants open during the open season. I go year round....park at Ocean Grove, walk down the boardwalk into Asbury to the very end...then walk back on the beach. Historical sites, beautiful homes, ocean views.

Asbury Park Boardwalk has such a charm too it! It may be on the “smaller” side compared to other Jersey shore boardwalks but its packed with such unique shops, food spots, bars & the historic buildings! Very clean beach as well. Its always wonderful walking around on it. 🏄‍♀️⚓️🏖 Must see places on the boardwalk: - 🕹 Silverball Arcade: Vintage retro pinball arcade Thats fun! - the Convention Hall: beautiful & historic! Has some beautiful local owned artisan shops & beach bar! - ☕️ Asbury Park Roasters: Devine coffee! Located INSIDE the convention hall - the murals: lots of beautiful artisan murals await to check out & great photo opps!

MUST GO BEFORE 9AM AND PARKING IS FREE, this is a great place to walk, bike and walk the dog, go extra early, I would go from 6am to 9am, because parking is free up to 9am and we rode our bikes all the way to Belmar, so much fun, riding next to the ocean!

Asbury Park Boardwalk is a cool place. Typical Jersey Shore boardwalk with a nice mix of offerings for food choices, nick nack stores and bars. Nice place for family walks and romantic strolls. The beach is wide and clean too. Everyone will enjoy anytime spent here.

I really enjoy the Boardwalk in Asbury Park. It’s not huge but quaint, reminds you of days past, in a good way. We went on a Sunday evening and It wasn’t crowded at all. Parking using a mobile app to pay (ParkMobile) was easy.
