First time at this place , we came at 9pm just for a quick meal. They went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Not only was every dish intricate and delicious; the best Indian food we’ve had in a while, but the service was also immaculate! They had attention to detail, were very nice , had great recommendations and even gave us endless complimentary appetizers and a desert. The byob option is also a cherry on top, perfect place for big groups or an intimate date night.

I've been here twice, and both times, I've loved every single thing I tasted. Our food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and really great portion sizes. The ambience is very nice, with a beautiful NYC mural, posh table settings, and fun Indian music playing. I loved the chana poori and tikka panir especially.

Service was exceptional. The best butter chicken I’ve ever had. Also the rice pudding was phenomenal.

Absolutely excellent food. I came here with my partner and my parents tonight. We shared many dishes. For appetizers, we ate the garlic naan, which was good, the samosas, and the pakoras, which both were as well. What really impressed us were the curries, though. I enjoyed the dhakshan quite a bit and father loved the korahi. My partner and mother chose the tikka masala but both really appreciated the curries we chose, and I finished theirs for them and thought it was a good rendition of that one as well. We were given rice pudding as a dessert, and the owner was so friendly showing us how proud he was of it as their signature dish. It was cold and sweet like you would expect, though the rice had more texture than I am used to from a Western version of the dish usually made with short grain rice compared to the Indian basmati, which made for an interesting distinction that I am glad I got to try. This place is a gem in a neighborhood with many restaurants. Don't miss it!

1/5 for food, 5/5 for service and 3/5 for the atmosphere It’s interesting that this place has 4.8 average rating based on 1000 or so reviews. But when you scroll through the reviews, you can see that most of those stellar reviews aren’t from desis, which itself can serve as an indicator that something is amiss. We visited Indian Kitchen on an early Friday evening and were seated promptly. The restaurant wasn’t busy and the host greeted us warmly. We got the Gobi Manchurian, Chilli Chicken, Naan and Chai. They use a lot of artificial color in food, and the flavour is largely missing. The Gobi Manchurian was quite salty and bland, and so was the Chilli Chicken. We were hoping the Chilli Chicken to be an Indo-Chinese dish, but it wasn’t. It was a dish prepared with just some chicken thrown in a spicy gravy with too much color. We couldn’t finish our food. We appreciated that our server kept bringing us extra food, and was quite attentive. The restroom could use some deep cleaning. If you’re looking for an authentic Indian restaurant where dishes have a lot of flavours, I would keep looking.

Alarm starting food & service 🚨Great food - the lamb was literally sizzling so much it set off the smoke detector. Our waiter / the manager was incredibly friendly and wonderful to chat with. BYOB is a nice perk. Would recommend!

The chickpea saag is next level delicious. The Samosas were top notch. One of the best meals I’ve ever had.

If u are searching for an amazing desi restaurant in New York I would recommend this place. They have a variety of options on their menu such as, butter naan, biryani, and curry. It was totally amazing. Also the mango lassi was delicious. The service was mind-blowing. Try it out…..☺️

Amazing spot. Went there with my girlfriend today, but have ordered takeout there too. The food was incredible and the manager is really friendly. The food is amazing, the house special is really good as well as the butter chicken and the mango lassi we got. We were obsessed with one of the pickled sides that we had too with the bread. Would definitely go again. The manager also gave us some of the rice pudding which was very good
