Great view of the river and NY. Lots of parking. Nice walk along the edge. Fence looks a bit sketchy. "YOU ARE HERE" information board posted on sidewalk area. Place could use a good cleaning to remove clothes and garbage left behind from disgusting humans.

Nice view of the Hudson. You feel the ghosts of The Revolutionary War on those cliffs. Great parking. Thanks to those who preserved the land and had it built.

Cool place to get good pics, bring your wife, your girl, children, or visiting kin. I like coming here different times of the yr because the scenery changes. It's kept pretty clean as well. Of course the good pics really come from getting right on the edge of cliff's

Palisades Interstate Park at the Alpine Lookout felt heady and relaxing at the same time. It was as if for a moment I was united with nature. I recommend drivers get out of your car and take a short walk. It is worth it. #LetsGuide nature lovers

Not as clean as one would think I such a beautiful town. A bit of littering going on so that definitely is the fault of guest for sure. Other than that a beaaaautiful lookout! Fantastic Upper Manhattan / Yonkers View // Hudson doesn’t look too bad lol & being that high up probably helped πŸ˜‚. Came and saw the sunrise and it was GORGEOUS!

Alpine look out is really incredible. The view of Westchester New York City is again incredible. You get a great view of Yonkers and the Bronx all the way down to the George Washington bridge AKA the GWB. The trowels and certain areas are dirt and a little rough. Some trails where it's concrete I would say be careful the upkeep is not that well done. Some of the cement is cracked and some of the railings are old and rusty. My feeling they should be replaced just for the public safety. Otherwise it is an incredible place to spend a little time with friends or family hiking some of the trails and just enjoying the view.

We stopped here while being on the trip back to Boston. It provides a panoramic view and some trails. Most important is the history attached to it related to American revolution. Learning opportunities for kids.

Worth a stop! Some good low key hiking along the water to get a stretch in and beautiful in the fall. These are technically within some state parks from what I understand, but this is just a pull off from the Palisades parkway technically so it is free to park.

Missed the sunset due to the cloudy weather but hung around for a bit and saw some lit up skyline. Has a couple benches and some grass to relax on. Great for a small pit stop.

Good place for 10 min break on the highway

3 stars for ...breathe taking view...hair raising drive to get there. I'd say never drive there at night, except that's exactly what I did, pulling off the highway to take a break from the single lane twist and turns of the mountain pass. The lights were gorgeous! If this place wasn't a dangerous journey for the inexperienced driver, I'd give it 5 stars for the view. Travel with care, my friends!

Waze took us on a different route to Connecticut this trip. Skipping GWB it took us on a scenic bypass. We could see the Hudson River, so decided to jump off one of the outlooks and get a better View. Alpine had pretty decent parking. Apparently there is a whole trail system that runs through the area so you can get off and walk, Jog and taken the sites of the hudson. It's up on the clips so it has a really good view of the Hudson River itself. Across the way I believe you can see Yonkers. It was very scenic, a few benches and open areas where we saw some people sitting having a picnic. They were also some coin binoculars that you could pay for and take a closer look across the river. Pretty well kept. Even had some information posted about the history of the area. If you need a little break from Drive-In to stretch your legs this is a great spot catching some cool scenery and enjoy the area.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Alpine was my first area starting my mission here in Utah, and I'm so happy it was. I've made so many amazing memories in my short few months there, and Creekside park definitely helped in making its mark.
