Wow best breakfast I've had in jersey city. Quick and amazing customer service. As a Dominican, the Mangu here is amazing, make sure you get the tres golpes. Comes with so much food for just $7.95. Bread, cheese, salami, eggs, onions, hot chocolate and orange juice. Thank you to Lenien Garcia, great guy who treats clients well. Excellente Calida

The cheapest place in the area for the food they serve. Also, excellent food quality and variety. What explain why is always pack. Definitely one of my favorite spots.

Great Cuban diner that is busy most days with lively music playing in the background. They serve a delicious selection of Cuban standards, with The #3 Breakfast being my favorite! There are daily specials with substantial portion sizes and reasonable prices. Try the fresh squeezed orange juice and strong Cuban coffee as well as the fresh baked goods in the glass case that catch your eye upon entering. There is table seating as well as counter stools. Entrance is handicap accessible. There is a small parking lot behind the diner and street parking can be a challenge.

Some friends of mine live near Rumba’s in Jersey City. I was at their place and they already eaten. I asked them if they recommended any spots in the area to get something quick, not too heavy. They both recommended Rumba’s! They said they go there all the time, and almost never fails! So I walked a couple blocks down to Rumba’s to see what they were about. It’s a Cuban restaurant with lots of culture and energy. Just the decor was enough for me to wanna order something. They have this red counter top with stools. It’s very 60’s-esque. I dug it! The staff are mostly Spanish speaking, sweet, charismatic women. One of them took my order, which was simply two chicken empanadas, as well as an irresistible slice of their chocolate cake. The chicken empanadas weren’t as moist as I would’ve preferred, but still delicious and incredibly flavorful! It had a pretty, crispy, salted crust that complimented the chicken well! I was very impressed with the flavor of the chicken, and wish I had ordered more! I mean, I will for sure the next time in the neighborhood, amongst some other menu items! Now, as for this chocolate cake. Girl, this chocolate cake. Whether or not it’s made in-house, I’m not sure, but girl, this chocolate cake. That thick icing/mousse was giving very much chocolate pudding (but richer) decadence! The edge of the cake had these crumbly Oreo-like bits that just added to satisfaction. The cake itself was moist and luscious! Even if it isn’t made in-house, wherever they outsource from, GETS IT! I’m so glad my friends live near this place! I have another reason to visit :-)

Nice, cozy place with great ambiance! It brought back childhood memories growing up in Little Habana ❤️. I like that it has a wheelchair ramp so that I can have a nice meal with my mom. We had the breakfast # 2, # 4 and the bistec de palomilla. Good food with big portions and even better prices. You will be full! We took home some food! We went on Sunday mid-morning and it was packed, and service was a little slow. In the end it was worth the wait because I spend some quality time with mom reminiscing on childhood memories ❤️.

Love the food! The price is affordable and the serving is plenty. The only thing I don't like is they charge you for each containers you will request.

The food itself would get 10 Stars if it were available. The food is ALWAYS excellent. Unfortunately the service is a little different. I've recently took my niece who was visiting from Florida to this restaurant. Once the meal was brought to our table, not one time did anyone come over to ask was everything okay. It even slowed down inside the business and not one person asked were we okay. What they did instead was look over and came to present the check to us when we were done. That's not appropriate. Why should I pay for the meal and be expected to tip if they didn't deserve one. I tipped the lowest amount possible. Anyways, I hope the service will change the next time I come back.

A cozy slice of Hispanic Caribbean food and ambiance. Great cuisine for breakfast lunch and dinner. Friendly staff and reasonable prices good for frequent visits. The place fills up fast so plan accordingly for peak meal times.

I used to love this place, the food, prices and service. But now everything changed. The prices are good compared to other places. The food is not the same and the service horrible. I waited 30 min for my breakfast and they changed my plate 3 times. The waiter keep bringing the wrong food.

I love this lil restaurant. The food is delicious and incredibly well priced. You can feed your whole family for less than $20 here! Everyone who works their is super nice and sweet. Definitely a neighborhood favorite! Try a Cubano Sandwich next time your in the area. You won't be disappointed!

I've been coming to this place since 2010 or something like that. The fact that their prices are still the same and the food is just as good blows my mind. Steak, eggs, and fries for under 8 dollars, with coffee and orange juice. Friendly staff, parking and kid friendly environment. You can't ask for more.

Best coffee and empanadas. Very good turnover even when busy. Service takeout or dine in is good. Great for quick dinner pick-up and a lot for your money.

Great food. Good service. Gets very busy so be careful when you go. People sit there too long so it takes a while to get a table at certain times. Prices are very good and everyone is friendly!

It was just okay. Small atmosphere. The food was incorrect. What I did have tasted okay, but my other stuff had cheese on it, which I can't eat. She repeated the order to me so I know she heard me say it. All in all I'll probably find somewhere else when I come back to Jersey.

Worth checking out if you’re in the area. Food was fine but the great atmosphere helps make up for that. Long review: - Mango shake was delicious, 5/5. - Cuban sandwich was fine, 3/5. There are better and worse ones out there. Lacked a bit of flavor, and the bread was a bit soggy. - Ham and cheese was fine, solid 3/5. - Fries were VERY good, 5/5. Atmosphere was cool. Felt like a nice casual restaurant.

Cannot go wrong with this place, where else are you going to find meals for $5 anywhere in this world ?! The portions are huge and the food is delicious. Love the daily specials, especially the ropa vieja. If you come over the weekend , come early or you can’t find a table. Always packed which speaks for itself. The women that work there are very sweet as well!

The place what absolutely packed and people didn’t have a problem waiting! My first time there, cozy and the food was delicious! I had the soup of the day, beef soup and it was something like your grandma will make 🤩. My friends ordered other items on the menu and they seem happy with their food. I will return to try something else in the menu.

I ordered the Steak and Eggs breakfast special this restaurant offers, usually this breakfast is almost $20.00 at any other place but they have it for $10.00. The quality is amazing and hits the spot, I will be coming here tomorrow again for that steak breakfast. I would like to try their other food choices, so best believe I will be back here.

I can’t believe places like this still exist in Jersey city!! Authentic Cuban restaurant. No overpriced, and everything tasted delicious! You may need to wait a little bit in line, be prepared.

Family atmosphere but the scrambled-eggs were bland, I know some people like them that way but eh. Great people and friendly staff though! Recommended, just be specific on the seasoning you might want.

This place is awesome. I went there for breakfast today and got a bowl of chicken soup, and a large helping of rice and black beans for like $5. Insanely low prices, and the beans were so good I bought a large container to bring home ($3) and eat throughout the day with rice. This restaurant is definitely going in my rotation of places to eat at.

This place was recommended by someone else. I would give zero stars if I could. I got a parasite due to unhygienic food handling and have been sick for weeks. I wish I would’ve seen the other review about the staff picking up a sandwich from the floor and giving it to a customer. Their hygiene practices need to be looked into.

I love this places food but Everything I go there after waiting a while to be served at the counter the waiter never asks who is next and take the person that got there last order. I always have to say, hey I have been waiting and you just take them? Other than that the food is good and the staff is nice.

Have no idea where the line goes. Arrived at receiving area and people pass right in front of you. Will not come here ever!

This place has affordable prices. They serve a variety of Spanish foods. You have to wait a while to get a menu and your check. Always busy, so you know your food will be fresh and hot.
