Honestly I was so scared walking in to this shop as a plus sized woman. I was totally prepared to have a very hard time here and maybe shed a couple of tears as that's what I'm used to experiencing when trying on clothes. Not only did this store cater to larger sizes but the girl that helped us "Lilly" was amazing. She was so honest and so caring. I really felt very comfortable in her hands and I found the dress I wanted with her input almost immediately. As someone who really struggles with body image I felt like I hardly did that today I didn't tear myself down I felt beautiful in almost every dress and felt heard as well as to what i wanted. I left with my dress picked the same day. I'd recommend this place to everyone that needs the services.

Allison at David’s Bridal on Bardstown Road in Louisville, KY was phenomenal!!! She was energetic, informative, and fun. We were able to have a one stop shop of getting all of my bridesmaids their dresses during our appointment session! I couldn’t have been more pleased with how things went for me and my bridal party! Allison was fantastic & anyone would be lucky to have them as their stylist.

I bought my dress at a David’s Bridal in FL but needed it altered up here. From the ease of scheduling an appointment to the alterations itself, the process was a breeze. The staff were all helpful and friendly and answered all of my questions. They had an appointment remind for my final fitting and it turned out better than I could’ve hoped for. My dress fits me perfectly and I’m looking forward to my big day!

I would like to say that I'm a personal space type of person and not a girly girl. I thought the process of finding my perfect wedding dress was going to be horrible cause being plus size usually makes life harder. The salesperson I received was Skylar. She was completely amazing! I must have tried on 10 to 12 dresses! It went so easy, and Skylar told me I was beautiful in any dress. I loved my experience, and if you go to this store, you should definitely ask for Skylar. I was really happy that she made this experience a great one and one I will remember forever.

David’s Bridal is fantastic! I didn’t get my wedding dress from them, but they let me bring it in so I could wear it and help pin down what bridesmaid dress color I wanted. Tiffany was so helpful and patient with me and my party. She helped us connect with their alterations specialist as well and we got quotes for alterations quickly. I will definitely be going back to them again soon!

Jennifer was amazing and so helpful and mindful of everyone with me and everyone around me. I wish all employees everywhere were like her. Honestly, she fit in like family, made it much more comfy! Jessica was also very attentive, she helped when we walked in, very friendly.

I had an amazing experience picking out my dress. I’m not much of a person to dress up and such so I was nervous going in but Tiffany did an amazing job making me feel comfortable and helping me find what I want!

Had an amazing experience today while visiting with my Great Aunt! Although they were short staffed, Jessica worked hard to make my experience as memorable and enjoyable as possible. She made sure I had plenty of options of dresses (I was bridal shopping today) while also keeping up good conversation with my aunt during my changes. In the end, I found a beautiful dress and said YES! I’m so excited and so thankful for all the help Jessica gave us during our visit today. Thank you all so much!!

Tried on dresses last wk. They did not have a dress I seen on their website. They told me I could order it, but it would take a month. I said I didn’t want to wait a month. I’d rather go somewhere else. All of a sudden they could have the dress within 7 days. I had to pay the full amount of the dress which was close to $1000.00 in order to try it on. Well today is day 6. They just called me, saying that the dress is damaged. And they don’t have any more. I don’t understand how they didn’t realize it was damaged 6 days ago. They literally waited till the day before I’m supposed to pick it up to call me. I said that’s fine, just return my money. They said I needed to drive to the store and they would issue it. I live in IN. The store is in KY. I said I do not want to make the drive and would just like it put back on my card. Which is how I paid. The lady talked to her manager and then said she’d have to talk to the regional manager. I will never walk back in that store. It was dirty looking, carpet was old. The dresses looked like they had been tried on a million times. And the manager was pushy. The day I ordered the dress I asked about a refund, if I didn’t love it. She said I’ll be happy to exchange it. I’m like no, a cash refund. She said I’d have 7 days. Then she tried to get me to pay for on a dress bag (that said David’s Bridal on it). I told her I didn’t want the bag. Just incase I didn’t love the dress. She said well you can use it for a different dress. Like.. what?? Why would I want to buy a David’s Bridal bag for a dress from another store? If you are looking for luxury or an experience, this is NOT the place. I’ve bn to 3 bridal stores this was by far the worst. Spend more and get your YES moment! Still hadn’t heard from regional manager today. So I drove to here to get my money. There was a lady named Rachel and she was great! Very nice and issued my refund with no problem. She was the only person working. Trying to help customers with dresses, answer the phone and check people out. Honestly felt bad that she was left to run a store on her own. No wonder you don’t get a good bridal experience. There’s not even enough ppl to run the store. Management needs to get it together.

I visited the store today and was immediately greeted at the front door by an associate, Jessica. She was very friendly and let me know that Renee would be helping me. Renee offered her ideas and looks and listened to me and my ideas. She helped me pick out dresses and has a spectacular eye! Renee helped me find my perfect dress for me and my special day! I appreciate the help and patience and guidance to say and above all the customer service was amazing! I highly recommend David’s Bridal and especially Renee as your dress consultant! She is the best! Thank you again and I can’t wait to try in my dress when it comes in!

Had THE best experience today. I bought a dress about a month ago and after contemplating on it awhile it just wasn’t “my” dress. Leah and the staff at Louisville DB helped me choose the perfect dress I was envisioning for my day. I left with the biggest smile on my face and feeling on cloud nine.

It was a amazing experience. It was every thing I dream up..it was just like the t.v show yes to the dress. Best place to go if your looking for a dress in town or a bride maid dress or flower girl dress. The staff treat you like a dear friend of there that they now for years.

I was at DB to let my daughter try on her wedding dress for me and to shop for MOB dresses. The AC was out in the store and I was dreading the hot sweaty process but it was truly a great experience. I was assisted by Alyssa B. She really listened as I described what I liked & didn't like. She was so apologetic about the air conditioning and remained pleasant and helpful the entire time. After we got to know each other, her personality shined through with her sense of humor. At the end of the appointment, we discovered it was her very first sales appointment at DB ever! Way to go Alyssa! btw.. I said YES to the MOB dress

It was one of the best evenings I’ve ever had. It was so easy and fun and Elizabeth was fantastic. She helped me find my dream dress and I’m so happy with everything. 10/10 experience for sure thank you so much.

My consultants, Rene and Michele, were absolutely amazing. They were both very helpful when I was trying to pick my perfect dress. I truly felt like they cared about helping me feel beautiful and happy. Michele was also absolutely hilarious and made the experience amazing for everyone in my bridal party! Even hours later we cant stop talking about having our own snack rooms one day ;). If you are considering going to David's Bridal I would definitely recommend it. They do everything they can to make your day special.

I went to David’s Bridal on Bardstown Rd (Louisville) and wore the Melissa Sweet vintage wedding gown! The staff were very friendly and chill - a requirement for dress shopping! I get overwhelmed shopping and their vibe really helped me feel calm and able to make decisions. The vibe: They let me go through the dresses myself and choose as many as I wanted to try on. Showcasing dresses outside the fitting room to your people isn’t private as other brides are showing their dresses to their people right beside you - but something about it is communal and beautiful. DB is also affordable and has a wide variety of styles, colors, and offers all of the wedding occasion outfits/accessories, and wedding party attire. They have in-house alterations services that they extend to the community - outside of wedding gowns. They also connect with other vendors in the community, offer discounts, AND offer cleaning and preservation services through one of their partners.

Tiffany was EXCELLENT! She was very patient and helpful. Her careful selections helped me find the PERFECT bridesmaids dress! It was one I wouldn't have ever known to pick if she had not helped me. I highly recommend her!

After walking in on a random Tuesday night with my mom to find a debutante ball dress, we were paired with Tasha. I wouldn’t have written a review had it not been because of Tasha and her instant charm and eye for dresses to complement myself. Despite only meeting her she matched me with a style of dress I wouldn’t have chosen for myself but I loved. We came back with an appointment with Tasha and she said, “After you left I found the perfect dress!” This is the moment that I knew Tasha understood me, this dress it embodied my personality and personal style I tried it on and I felt so special. TASHA made a box that needed to be checked and experience and one I will remember. Tasha is a star I love her and I would recommend her.

Leah was wonderful!!! She took her time and was so sweet and patient with my bridal party of 7 and me. Everyone walked out happy with a dress and I found the ONE!!! Hands down and amazing experience. I was extremely concerned as a plus size bride that I would feel uncomfortable and self conscious, or that nothing would fit. Leah helped me feel beautiful. Annette was amazing and made this process so smooth! David's Bridal was my first stop in looking for a wedding dress, no idea whether I would purchase today or not. I went in with a few styles in mind.. Annette found the exact dresses/styles I had in mind to try and we found the perfect dress! I also knew for sure I didn't want a veil, until she suggested I just try one on just to be sure. It literally made the whole dress.. she knew exactly what it needed! I not only got my dream dress, but also got my shoes and jewelry!! I highly recommend you go see Annette at David's Bridal, and cannot thank her enough!

Tiffany was amazing and so helpful. I had a dress mishap with my original dress and needed a dress for my wedding asap. I had little to no time to get one. David’s Bridal squeezed me in and helped me find the most perfect dress, in my size, at a different location, and did everything to help me get it. Tiffany did all the things! She made it easy, comfortable, and research to get me my wedding dress. I hope I never need another wedding dress but if I do, I would go back to David’s Bridal.

UPDATE: After this review posted, Michelle gave me a call. She was very apologetic and wanted to try and make it right. She refunded me the rush fee as well as the cost of the additional alterations I incurred as a result of the dress being too big. I appreciate the effort and sincerity around her apology. ORIGINAL REVIEW (one star): I had a terrible experience with the staff at David's Bridal. I ended up having to purchase my bridesmaid dress 3 times, because I was told to buy the wrong size by the staff--twice. The first time, a staff member had me try on a sample size 10. It fit fine--staff member told me that my dress would be "a little tighter" since I was trying on the sample, but that it would be fine. Needless to say, when the size 10 arrived, we could not get it to zip. Both the alterations woman and a manager then told me to buy a size 14--this was after the manager took my measurements! When that dress came and was much too big, I commented that I should've bought the 12. The SAME alterations woman said, "yeah, you should've bought the 12." YOU and your manager are the ones who told me to buy a 14. This is YOUR job. So, I ended up paying the cost of the dress in alterations, as I did not have time to return the dress again before the wedding. At the fitting, the manager started working on pinning the hem since the alterations woman hadn't come in yet. When the alterations woman showed up, she took a couple of quick measurements, then handed me a paper to sign to confirm the alterations. Nevermind that the dress was clearly too big in the bodice. I asked about it and she said, "Oh, she (the manager) didn't do that already?" There were clearly no pins in the bodice of the dress that was hanging off of me. When I complained about the sizing issue, the manager offered to comp the rush fee. Right after I agreed and thanked her, she thought for a moment and said, "oh, well you would've had to pay the $25 rush fee anyway, so we'll charge you $25 instead of $35. TERRIBLE customer service to make an offer, then take it back. The only reason I continued to go there is because the dress was for my very best friend's wedding and she lives out of state. I can't tell if the staff was trying to get more money out of me for alterations, or if they just don't know what they're doing. If I ever need another bridesmaid or formal dress, I will not be going to this David's Bridal. Never again.

Kendra J made my experience great. She did both my bridal appointment and my bridesmaids bridal appointment. I came in not knowing what type of dress I wanted but she helped me find the perfect dress for me and my bridal party. Ask for her when you go. She’s very knowledgeable and will help you find the perfect dress for your body type and that you will love. If I could give her more stars I would.

The entire staff was amazing. Rania immediately greeted us with a huge smile and positive energy, Avery helped us set up our fitting room, Elizabeth and Felicia both helped me organize the millions of dresses I had AND hyped me up! It was an easy and fun experience from beginning to end. It's such a comfortable and encouraging place with amazing dresses. When we went to check out we were so bummed to find out that the size/color I needed for my dress wasn't available. Victoria went above and beyond to make sure we found a solution. Everyone here is an angel.

I had a great experience at Davids Bridal. I came in looking for a special occasion dress & they had a large selection. Kendra made the process painless. She was very knowledgeable & helpful. I was in & out within an hour with an appointment already set for alterations. The dress price was very reasonable as was the estimated price for alterations. Kendra did a great job. My experience at David’s Bridal started out perfectly. Elizabeth and Michele were very helpful and excellent style pickers. We narrowed it down to two absolutely stunning dresses. On my second visit Michele, Jessica and Erin helped Me. I brought my good friend Valerie with me to offer her opinion on what style fits my personality and shape as well. Michele, in particular, taught me how to be kind to myself about my body shape! Between all of us we settled on three absolutely gorgeous gowns. I find it very interesting that the, “I love it” dress was one from my first session with Elizabeth. I guess you love what you love. It is very difficult to choose between so many lovely dresses. I was also very pleased and surprised about the bell ringing event when I said, “yes to the dress!”. You will have an exceptional experience with the ladies at David’s Bridal.
