My therapist isn’t a very good therapist. I’m clearly seeing her b/c I have problems yet she seems frustrated and annoyed with my honest opinions. Is this how therapy is supposed to work ????

Seek help literally anywhere else. It took me 6 months to get tested for a neurological condition. My nurse practioner was rude and dismissive, told me to "just stop taking" my medication when I told her I was having side effects (she should know that you can't just stop taking medication????), then falsely discharged me because she doesn't know how to reply to emails. When my insurance changed, no one called me back to ensure I was ok, and this place dropped me like a hot potato. A poor excuse for a mental health institution. Don't waste your time.

I have waited over a month for this place to schedule me an appointment. Seems they really don’t care about peoples mental health needs. I was just told this morning that it has been taking them a long time to schedule new patients appointment after initial intake. Why accept new patients if you can’t and/or won’t help people?!?

Out of the six years that I have been in mental health therapy I have not had anyone display the level of knowledge, concern, care and empathy for someone who is not even his client yet. By far Gustavo Cassera is one of the greatest professionals I have experienced and I hope to have the privilege to work with him.

Gus is great. I get to bounce life events, ideas and thoughts off of his ear. He listens impartially and offers his unbiased opinion.

I’ve been a patient at LifeStance Portchester for three years this year, and I do not regret it one bit. Everyone I’ve encountered is friendly and helpful. They try their best and really go the extra mile to help you. I remember a few years ago, I had an issue and one of the employees stayed past her shift time to help me sort it out. I recommend this place to anyone who says they’re looking for mental health providers.

There’s too many notifications for apt confirmation. They forget to follow through on some things and need follow up. Psychiatry apts are mostly Dr Eyma typing and not talking so there’s awkward silences for minutes on end all the time but only after the first apt which is when she treated me like a human and insisted on a review after that before changing her behavior. They require a portal for documents and communication which I don’t like. And they have round about ways of approving medications that I’ve already been on for months and are more traditional and aren’t great with abnormalities with medications.

I’m very impressed with my doctor and my therapist. Both have shown genuine concern for my well being and well being and mental health. Helping me through threw a difficult time. They both have empathized with me as current issues have made my life pretty difficult.

Absolutely enjoyed meeting with Dr. Tara. She was very kind and very patient. She also explained to me more about mental health so I could understand better.

Let's start with the pros: It's very easy to make a first appointment with LifeStance. Also, you can find good therapists. However, making appointments & canceling appointments thereafter is a pain - particularly if your therapist/doctor doesn't know how to schedule themselves. And it is a double pain if they have an assistant doing everything for them. Calling to get anything done is insane. Sometimes you're on hold forever. And you always have to wait for calls back, which if you have a job like mine (I'm a teacher who has a tough time leaving to answer calls), you will be playing phone tag endlessly. However, if you have a balance, they will not hesitate to call you super quickly, of course. And they have even charged my card without my consent. I continue to use them because I love one of my doctors, but everything else is a nuisance.

Terrible at returning calls. After several months of trying to get in touch with my provider, and one appointment that the doctor cancelled last minute, I gave up and went to a different psychiatrist outside of Lifestance.

Dr. Jeremy Eggleston is an excellent Psychologist. He has helped me greatly in only a short time. He is sincere and genuine when he speaks and extremely attentive to what I have to say. Dr. Eggleston has superb ideas that are teaching me to grow positively and ultimately feel better. I highly recommend for any of your needs and concerns.

Self care regarding one's mental health is so important; it's nothing to be ashamed of, in particular, during a pandemic. You'd be much better suited seeking treatment elsewhere. Dr. Tara Eyma? Some things are better off not said in a public forum. The NYS medical review/licensing board is your best bet. Pay close attention to their questionable billing practices, too. Their 'vsee' app is a joke.

I had a genuine, great experience with Dr. Tara Eyma. She listened to me patiently, was supportive and empathetic. She also provided a great deal of information about general things, and my medication in a way that made me feel like she cared. She was also careful with my prescription, which I think is how all doctors should be. Thank you Dr. Eyma!

Saw a doctor only to tell me I have to wait 3 or 4 months or more to see someone else and she will put a referral in for me. Said to call the front desk once a month if I want to get an update. Great! Thanks!

I like the physicians that I’ve spoken to, but the scheduling and billing departments are terrible. I hate having to wade through the automated system to end up leaving a message anyway. Then, 8X out of 10, no one returns my call.
