My husband and I had a wonderful time here. I made us a reservation for a fall afternoon after a day of apple picking. When we arrived I kept looking around soaking everything in, it was just so cute and cozy It really felt like you were in a bakery in the Gilmore Girls town just really special. The food and tea was incredible. If something said it had vanilla in it you could taste it. Pumpkin. You could taste it. A lot of times menus say something has all these flavors but every single item, tea included at Sweet Simplici-Tea you could taste it, and it was all delicious. I've been to a lot of tea places to have an afternoon tea and by far this was the best one. It was really relaxing how the different parts of the tea came out: appetizer, soup, salad, scone, desserts, so we got to appreciate every part of it and have lots of time to chat and spend with each other, which is a really important and actual component to having tea together with someone. I would definitely recommend people come here and I can't wait to be able to come again myself! We took more delicious scones to take home and I'm still thinking about the pumpkin soup and pinwheel!! Lovely place, lovely food, lovely tea, lovely staff, lovely experience.

Lovely tea room in downtown Sykesville. Our party of 4 visited on Saturday for lunch & thoroughly enjoyed. They were busy but still received great attentive service. The atmosphere was lovely, food presentation on point, and everything was delicious. We had the royal tea which was filling & had many teas to choose from. Would highly recommend & will return!

Upon arriving you are greeted by sparkling chandlers accompanied by charming decor that takes you back to a quiet, slower, lovelier place and time. The tea menu hosts a verity of teas, black, white, blush, green and more. I had two pots of tea one pumpkin chai and the other Gloria’s garden. The pumpkin chai was well steeped with the perfect amount of pumpkin spice. Gloria’s Garden is floral forward with notes of strawberry and rose. I also tried the butterscotch and cranberry scone which were freshly baked with the perfect scone crumble. The scones were served with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Looking forward to coming back!

This place is very cute and super fun for a one-time experience! I say that as I won't be coming back for a couple of reasons: one is that the little snacks, while tasty enough, were probably mostly bought in. The oranges on our tower were even a little dry and had suspicious dots of blue on it. Two piggybacks off this: the price is just not suited to the quality and quantity of the food. I know I am mostly paying for the experience, but 35 each after tip for *light* (not even the regular) afternoon tea is steep. I'd consider it steep at a restaurant, too, honestly. Positives: the service was fantastic and made us feel welcome and paid attention to. The tea aspect of the experience was great! The ones we got were tasty (and the tea menu was extensive). Our pots were wrapped in fabric and we were provided w sugar and cream. The atmosphere was great and felt like we'd stepped into a different time. That felt like the thing I was buying because I felt I could recreate all the other parts of the experience at home. But overall, I enjoyed my time! It was fun and a nice way to spend an afternoon and the shops nearby are fun to explore.

Enjoyed a delicious tea luncheon with The Royal-tea Club at Sweet Simplici-Tea. They were able to fit 40 of us in one room. The wait staff are hardworking & very friendly. Located in downtown Sykesville with many shops to explore after your dining experience. ❤️ This Place!

We held a bridal shower here and everything was simply wonderful! The bride to be had an amazing time and everyone commented on how wonderful and delicious the teas and food were. The cookies that they made for our favors were such a great touch. We will be back for sure!

I ordered a big platter of scones and muffins with some apricot marmalade and clotted cream for an anniversary for my business. My staff and clients ate every generous morsel and I couldn’t get enough of the cream! So very delicious and fresh! I’ve also attended for a baby shower tea and I love this place!! Excellent quality and service!

We had a lovely tea here. We made reservations, and came for the Victorian tea. We were each able to choose one tea, and we chose white peach and white strawberry. Then we could choose soup or salad. I really enjoyed the salad. Next was a scone, which was absolutely delicious. After that was a tray of little sandwiches, quiche, and desserts. They were all good, though the quiche was not our favorite. The service was excellent overall. We were seated at a table right by the window, and it was really hot. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and I would return for another special event.

I love this place. They have so many teas and a wide selection of finger foods. It's on the fancy side and each person gets a very different tea cup design. It's definitely a finger food and talk with people type of place. So don't expect to go just for food but the experience of finger food and talk. The food is filling since you'd get so many even though it's small bites each. We did the royal tea which gave an appitizer of cheeses and fruits, small teacup-sized of soup, scone, salad, and some stuff on the photo. They say they change the menu often but it was pretty fresh and mostly sweet side of food.

I went to this tea room for a baby shower and it was not just adorable, but everything was so delicious from all of the different teas we were served to every - single - tea sandwich, scone, and even the dressing for the salad.

We had an amazing experience! Everything from the watermelon with feta to the chicken salad on ginger crackers was amazing. The service was excellent and we were so satisfied when we finished. If we had any room, we’d have eaten extras. Definitely worth the trip!

I had to switch from reservation to take home. The staff is very accommodating. And friendly ti all my requests and changes. My only suggestion is the quiche and the spinach pie were not cooked. They should tell you that at pick-up. Or cook it and give warm up instructions. The tea bags were generously sized but I believe they were for a pot full not a cup. That should have been disclosed at pick-up. Jasmine tea was the best ever. The scones and butter were Delicious, the food was very Regal as the name implied. We were very happy to celebrate moms 90th in her kitchen with the wonderful quiche, and pie and egg salad and chicken salad.

We had a lovely sit down tea here! The food did take a bit between courses but I felt the pace was still good. The food was so good and the sequence made sense.

Hold on while I GUSH WITH ADORATION! The tea, the food, the ambiance, it was all Lovely in every aspect of the word. A great place for anniversaries, dates, friend gatherings, bridal and baby showers. They accommodate it all and it's all top notch but we will specifically be going back for LIDA ... Top notch service and conversation, she is exactly the lady I want to have tea with! She let us take it slow and enjoy each other's company while drinking great tea and eating wonderful food. She shared gardening tips and tales about Europe, we will be coming back regularly just so we can have tea with her!

Very nice place to host an event. Cute little understated tea room - this is not a fancy high tea such as the one at the Willard but definitely more relaxed while still being charming. An impressive selection of teas was what really stood out. Scone had an excellent texture and perfect sweetness. I felt that the remaining food items in our package were a bit on the skimpy side - inexpensive ingredients and not enough variety for the price.

The tea room is adorably decorated. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Our only complaint is the amount of food, or lack of, that is served. My friend and I ordered the Full Afternoon Tea for $33 each thinking we would each have a tier(not sure what they are called.) We only received one to share. So we each had one tiny cucumber sandwich, one little chicken salad sandwich, etc. The fresh fruit was a quarter slice of orange with a half strawberry on top! The food was tasty but definitely not worth our $70 bill.

I took my daughter to tea here with her grandparents for My Mother’s Birthday. The food was great, the tea was great. The new decor is bright and welcoming. Loved our time at the Kate Pearl Tea room Sykesville.
