This was a great place! The interior is very clean and wonderfully decorated, with holiday music playing in the background giving a cheery festive feel. We ordered the abeba gomen (breaded cauliflower) starter, a veggie platter, and a meat-veggie combo platter, which was enough for a filling meal for four people. The food was all very delicious!

Horrible service. I called and placed a pick up order. I came inside paid for my food and then was handed my order. I then opened my bag and realized that the portion was very small for the $30 l paid! I immediately asked for a refund and the woman there refused to help!! She kept saying she had to call someone and every time I asked her to call them she kept saying I was too "excited" in a very passive aggressive tone! After a few minutes of going back and forth asking her to refund me and call the manager I finally gave up and left! Which is clearly what she wanted. Iwill NEVER BE BACK TO THIS PLACE! I should have called the police on them for refusing my refund!!! I will make sure to tell everyone I know about this horrible situation to make sure they never come to this place!!!

So many vegan options! Another plus is that the vegan options on the menu are clearly labeled and Tuesday is all vegan. Everything was delicious and not overly spicy. Even my parents who think that salt and pepper is spicy loved the 5 vegan sampler. There are 9 different vegan dishes you can choose from for the sampler platters. Our favorites were the chickpea, yellow split pea, collard greens, cabbage potato, and green bean dishes. The 5 sampler is more than enough for 2 people. We ordered extra injera for our 5 year old and scooped some of the sampler dishes onto a separate plate for them. The two vegan appetizers were great too. They came with a spicy green minty chutney dipping sauce. Our waitress was so nice and answered all our questions. Such a great experience.

Ethiopian Cuisine serves delicious food with authentic flavors. The small portions and long wait time service can be a drawback, but the excellent waiter/service makes the dining experience worthwhile. A great staple in Woodbridge, the food and service are always amazing, and they make you feel at home. Veggie platter is delicious! Added steak and the spice level was just right.

Followed google reviews to get here...The owners are very very nice. I didn't have the heart to tell them that the lamb pieces were very hard and didn't seem fresh (or maybe overcooked)? Unedible and disappointing. :-( Everything else was good though. Hope this offers some constructive criticism they can use to make a better dining experience for others. Maybe next time! There are many choices in the DC area for this type of food. Very cute and homey environment was a plus.
