Thank You God for giving us this faith we live and guided by. Proud my grandfather Dawit Gebru was amongst the ones who brought the idea to build this church many years ago and my father was one of the many artists who participated to make those amazing paintings all over the church.

I have been attending MedhaneAlem through out my residency of Washington DC ever since in the 90s, my wife is participating to the church for quite some times at this church and our two boys also growing up in this church and it has been such a wonderful place to worship

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.I Love this place !!

DGMA Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is the first Ethiopian Orthodox church established in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. It has a rich history. I have been attending the church for over 35 years. I began attending the services as a youth, and now I am a member. It retains the original teachings and services of our forefathers. I highly recommend DGMA EOTC as a serene House of God where one can worship. It is a blessing to be able to worship in the same way as Tewahedo Orthodox Christians in Ethiopia.
