This is my favorite Oscars! The service is faster, the burgers are better and the custard is richer. Best of all they always automatically give me my custard to enjoy while I wait for my burger. Life's short after all so eat dessert first. The waffle cones are made fresh on site and they're delicious (also huge).

WE LOVE THIS PLACE! Great custard and food at a reasonable price. Yes there are other good custard stands like Gillis and Kopps and Culvers and Leons in Milwaukee, but non have the reasonable prices of Oscars. If you don't like the flavor of the day, or want chocolate or vanilla, you can always ask for "Oscar's Delight" which is compiled by hand at time of order: pecans, walnuts and chocolate pieces in vanilla custard - see photo. They always give a very large one scoop portion (really the size of two) and its just $2.49. (Have you seen Culver's one scoop lately? Its down to a few tablespoons LOL) Oscar's burgers are charbrioled and fries crisp and thin. They even have decent cheese curds. Oscars is our "go to" for burgers and custard in Milwaukee. We like West Allis better than Waukesha - charming cozy atmosphere, cool brick.

Fantastic and engaging service. Burger was great, and their fries are my favorite. But let's be honest...I was there for the custard! Chocolate covered cherries in amaretto custard, oh MY!!

***NO MILITARY DISCOUNT*** It was packed, and we still got our food quickly. The custard was DELICIOUS! 😋 The fries were soggy and not my favorite fry but still hit the spot. My sister ordered a mushroom burger, but she wasn't impressed. The little atrium at the back of the restaurant at night is a fun spot to sit at. I love the neon lights and the steps lighting makes the whole experience fun!

The prices are a little pricy. There's no meals. Everything is separate. The food is pretty good. The portion size to me should be a little more. I felt like I was sampling.

This flavored custard is delicious. Ambiance is lacking but who needs it when the product is amazingly good. Blows away regular ice cream with an incredible creamy melt in your mouth goodness. Special flavors change every day. Hamburgers & such are made to order. Cheese curds are a Wisconsin staple & equally great.

I came here with a friend on the way up to Milwaukee and stopped here for dinner. The service was pretty fast and the restaurant was pretty clean. I was satisfied with my mushroom Swiss burger, while my friend was maybe looking for a little more from his burgers. The cheese in the cheddar cheese fries was not the greatest, but our cheese curds were good. The price wasn’t too bad either. Overall it definitely is not a bad spot to go if you need to grab a bite. I would definitely need to return to try their custard.

My dad and I stopped by here after a trip to the zoo and I really enjoyed it. I've only been here once before and I love custard so finding a great option is key for me. I ordered their custard of the day (m&m cookie dough) and it was very sweet and I really enjoyed it. I also ordered some cheese fries, they were okay but I kinda expected more (thought they would be like cheese melted into the fries but it was just regular fries with cheese sauce to dip). Not a deal breaker for me because we were choosing to go and it might have been a mess otherwise. My one small suggestion is to improve packaging for the custard to go. The lids on the custard had openings like a cup of soda would and the custard actually melted through and spilled out the top. Otherwise I enjoyed the custard overall.

Super accommodating staff! In the past I've gotten their mushroom swiss burgers, which has a beefy mushroom gravy on top. They were happy to follow my unusual order, making mushroom swiss fries with that mushroom gravy over their delicious fresh fries instead of their chili and heese. This is definitely becoming my new favorite order now

I had a burger and fries with a peanut butter cup shake. Was really good food for the price. I've definitely spent more for worse and it comforts me to see good food that's still affordable. Only negative I can say is that the shake had to be drank from a lidless cup as the chunks continuously got got in the 2 straws I tried. Even with that I'd definitely go again, I'll just skip bothering with the straw. Was pleasantly surprised all round.

The custard here was sooo smooth and creamy, probably the best custard I've had. However, the burger was dried out and not too flavorful. Nice restaurant and very nice staff.

Staff could use some customer service training so that they can maybe be remotely friendly! Ordered a sundae to be made with one of the two daily flavors and specified which one. Yep, got home and the sundae was made with the other flavor! Custard is good but when you can’t also provide good service or a correct order, there’s other places to get custard.

Onion rings were spot on and fresh! Burger wasn't terrible, but didn't taste fresh. Like it had definitely been made some time earlier and kept in a warming bin. Which is surprising since I visited during the dinner rush. Oscar's is known for a great char burger, but it needs to be fresh! I'll still be back, just not as often as I visit another burger place nearby.
