Was able to try CPR and on first impression it was very pleasant. Made me think of home cooked meal and very welcoming. The service was good. The quality of food was excellent. Perfectly seasoned. And ambiance of the shop really was great. I would recommend this place to anywho who was to try something new.

The golden sun of Peru rises and sets here. It is hard to believe that such a great and cozy Peruvian restaurant can be found here in Wisconsin. I just hope my in-laws do not read this and I stop getting invites to their homes to eat their food. The flavors are unmatched, the ceviche was spot on perfect, I ordered the mixed plate and they did not cheap out on the quantity, for $14.00 even. The green tamale was the best tasting one I have, no bitterness at all. That takes some hard work to get it done to that level of greatness. The anticucho was packed with flavor, slightly overcooked for my taste, as I prefer the anticuchos cooked medium and no more than medium well.

This little gem is a great find. I haven't had alot of Peruvian food in the past but what i have had, pales in comparison to Chef Paz's amazing creations. Everything is so light and fresh it blew me away. The ceviche was so tasty but do yourself a favor and if you are not able to take spicy food opt for mild. The place seems to be packed all the time so you may have to wait for a table like us, but it's worth the wait. Chef Paz will most likely pop by your table to ask how the food was, which is the mark of a owner that cares. Don't pass this one up.

We had a quick lunch of empanadas. I had both the Colombian and the Peruvian with the green sauce. The Peruvian empanadas are absolutely fantastic. I couldn't decide if I like the cheese beef or chicken the best. They are so fantastic that it doesn't matter what you pick. I also enjoyed a Colombian empanada. It had a crunchy corn exterior which was very different from the Peruvian. Overall the service was quick and the food was hot and delicious.

My first time eating Peruvian food. I was pleasantly surprised that every dish I tasted I actually enjoyed. I am a very picky eater and I must say, the food was delicious!! I will definitely be back for more Pisco and Tres Leche. I must say thank you very much to my love and his brother for ordering my plate and for allowing me to sample their plates.

Authentic Peruvian Cuisine. Inka Paella with Shrimp, Calamari, and Mussels was excellent. A comfortable setting, with good family service. A wide menu selection to choose from.

I will be giving Chef Paz restaurant 5 stars for our visit on Wednesday October 27th, and we were super beyond impressed! We ordered Papa Rellena, Crispy Yucca, Papa a la Huancaina, Rice with Chicken, Chicken Noodle Soup and Inka Paella. First of the Papa Rellena was so soft and tender with a beautifully seasoned meat inside. The green sauce that comes with it well it's so good you will slap your momma! Crispy Yucca is absolutely out of this world! You just need to go eat some! Papa Huancaina has this yellow sauce that is unmatchable from anything I have tasted. I can't even describe it. Crispy Yucca with the same yellow Andean cream again is out of this world. The Yucca is delicate and delicious. Look I can go on and on about how awesome the food is here but it makes no difference unless you go visit! When you do you will catch yourself also writing a positive review also! Best thing it's small, family owned and local!

It was really fun to try this cuisine. The flavors were distinctive though fairly mild. The empanadas are the star of the show-just amazing!!! The dough is beautiful and flaky and chewey, just delicious. And the filling is uniquely flavored-it doesn't taste like other empanadas I've had before. The ceviche was special too, unique flavors and ingredients. It was fun to eat each element of the dish and figure out what it was. I tried several entree dishes and all were good, but all needed a bump of seasoning. The deserts were also excellent. Customer service was very good. My suggestion would be to have servers provide more education to your diners on this cuisine.

It was okay, we had big expectations since the first time we came (3years ago) food was amazing although this time it was just OK. Service was great, our waitress very attentive and sweet. I had a fish ceviche (my reason for coming back) and it was good. My advice order only the fish one. My husband had the fish soup and it was a disappointment. Very bland in flavor. Very underwhelming especially from the description of the dish on the menu. We also shared a papa rellena that I would rate 4 out of 5. And don't ask for the tamal.....it felt like box made (I guess my standard for tamales are high). What ever you ask make sure to request a side of the CILANTRO SAUCE..... it was delicious, the flavor, the consistency the way it blended with the rest of the food.

The food was beautifully seasoned and really well prepared. The pork fell off the bone beautifully was tender to eat. The fried plantains were also a delight and the empanadas for the appetizer had a tasty seasoning inside of it. I genuinely enjoyed the meal at Chef Paz! I hope I can try more things on their menu

I got referred this restaurant from my friends sister. So I tried it, It was amazing. They brought tastes of classic Peru to the heart of Milwaukee. We ordered chicken rice and Tacu Tacu lamo satodo. Both of them are amazing. Everyone should try, if they like to explore different cuisines.

The food here is prepared in authentic Peruvian style. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh and the variety of dishes is plentiful including some Gluten Free options. We shared the Ceviche Mixto, Seco de Res and Lomo Saltado (which is available Gluten Free). All dishes were tasty and well prepared; although some little details could be improved. The Seco had a pinch too much salt and the Ceviche could have used a pinch more flavor. That said I think the dishes were still thoroughly delicious and the atmosphere of the place definitely carried a festive Peruvian feel, which we appreciated. Our server was also prompt, friendly, attentive and very efficient. So all in all, this place was a wonderful find in an area of the country where you might not expect to find it. I recommend a visit. And when you do, give the Passion Fruit drink a try! Very refreshing!

Great service, friendly staff but $30 a plate is too much. I will say it was delicious but not worth $30. The Pisco Sour is yummy

Great authentic food with friendly staff. My Peruvian girlfriend felt like she got to relive a little slice of Peru while we ate here, from the seriously amazing food to the ambiance and atmosphere. Must try their fish ceviche. Prices aren't bad either.

We come back a few times a year. My GF is from peru so we like to eat there. She said the food is just like home. Yea they can make the American man happy with chicken and fries, ketchup and beat up pisco sour. The staff is definitely a happy family group. We will always be back.

I've been wanting to try Chef Paz Restaurant for almost 10 years and was finally able to make it while in Milwaukee. I met Raul, who was very nice and patient while I dined with my daughters. I watched as he took care of customers and delivery orders, and everyone enjoyed his presence, great guy. We ordered several plates, which included appetizers and dinner, such as: Anticuchos, Salchipapas, Ceviche, Arroz con Pollo, and Chupe de Camarones. Each dish had its own distinctive flavor, and all were delicious. Unfortunately, Chef Paz was out of town, so I didn't get a chance to introduce myself but will definitely return when I'm back in town.

Okay place, could have better prepared dishes. The good: The service is super friendly and attentive. The empanadas and the pisco were delicious! The lomo saltado was pretty well seasoned. The bad: We ordered a paella, the calamari was too chewy and the rice was over cooked. Ordered a creamy pasta that pretty much tasted like Mac and cheese noodles, pretty bland in my opinion. There is no place to wait to be seated. I would recommend this place solely for the empanadas.

Recommended by a good friend and I was not disappointed. Peruvian food was delicious, very down to earth. I had the seafood but the chicken and the Lomo Saltado was right up there.

Small, corner in the wall type place. Then, when you go in, you're greeted by interesting decorations and beautiful tables and chairs. Not to mention, the warm staff. Our waitress offered us a traditional Peruvian drink, but we didn't know if we would like it, so she even let us sample it. That is excellent service! Food was top notch. My boyfriend had Lomo Saltado and I had Chicken anticucho. We recommend both dishes. They both were great. Very clean place with nice space. Ample parking in a lot on the other side of the neighboring business. Comfortable and warm!
