Our first time and we loved the food that after eating, we decided to order another whole chicken (cut into pieces) for takeout! If you are craving for the aroma of grilled chicken, this is the place to go. Nothing beats the aroma and taste of a grilled chicken. And it’s tender and succulent. We ordered the mild spicy. If you are not sure on how you can tolerate the mild spicy, I suggest you go with the non-spicy and just ask for the spicy sauce on the side. Also, ask for the garlic sauce it’s so good! It has a mild garlic taste but not too overpowering taste. Highly recommended!

I ordered Cous cous salad and unfortunately did not get that. I did not receive a call or message asking if I would like to have another salad instead or if I prefer to take it off the check and refunding me… which is what I would’ve preferred. Instead just wrote a note saying sorry no couscous salad and gave us whatever this is which we unfortunately did not enjoy. I just feel that is very unprofessional as a business and that is not the way to treat returning customers. Very disappointed to break my fast knowing I did not receive what I was excited to eat… just wish there was communication and even the littlest respect with contacting to ask if this was ok before assuming. What if I was allergic to something in this one? Thinking of doing what’s right for the customer should always be top priority. I tried to call and it just beeps doesn’t go through… very sad and thought these people respected and cared about their customers more…

If I could give 12 stars I would. We had 2 of the wraps with a corn side and a cheesy appetizer (wish I remembered the name). The food was made fresh, packed with flavor, and had several options for spice. The service was also friendly and quick. I can’t wait to go back

Enjoyed the recommended chicken rice bowl. The herbs used to make the spice were quite tasty, however the bowl lacked variety, it was just chicken and rice. Quantity was good and would like to try the wraps or sandwiches next time around. The place appears to not currently allow dine in option.

I highly recommend this place if you love some slappin' Peri Peri Chicken!!! It is sooooo good!!! I can't handle their Cajun flavor since it's too hot for my palate! However, their lemon herb and the peri chips are spot on!!! And the portions is a lot! Don't forget to ask for the Garlic Dressing!!! ❣️👌🏾 10/10

My son told me I had to try the chicken pita sandwich so I did. Probably the best chicken pita sandwich I've ever had and the pita was fresh, but it's too small to be priced at $14+. The peri fries are good too (though the other sides I've tried in the past were nothing exciting). I'll be back for that sandwich though!

I’ve ordered several times from Port of Peri Peri! It’s my go-to when I don’t have the energy to drive down to Nandos Peri Peri in Skokie. This time, I place an online order and got a text message stating it was ready early. When I arrived, sure thing it was ready! My order was accurate, piping hot, and delicious! For take-out easily 5 out of 5 stars! However, I must give a solid 4 stars at this time, because that rice was way too spicy for me. I can do spice, but damn. If you’re a spicy lover (no pun intended), must try! If not, drive yourself 30 minutes to Nandos! Your choice. Overall, I would order again because I’m impressed with the flavor, large portion sizes, fair price point, and piping hot food which they nailed it! I’m all about that homemade pita and hummus!! Next time, I’ll request no spice for rice. It’s a bit overpowering of the chicken seasoning and almost over seasoning.

We have been here a couple of times and each time we order on a lower scale of "spice" yet the food is still too spicy when asking for very mild in comparison to other restaurants. The chicken should not be marinated and instead cooked to desired spice level to prevent the intensity. Even milder mild is too spicy. More than the meat, the rice was super spicy. Kids could not eat it. Not a family friendly option if you think you want to order rice as a side and limit your kids to fries. The corn side was mediocre this time. For the wait time and price, you would expect better match of flavors of food to menu choice. Milder mild or even lemon and herbs taste too spicy. Rice was doused in red chili spices! We will not be trying this place again. It's a no go for us.

I called at 730 pm on Tuesday Dec 6 to ask about whether specific items on the menu have table sugar, which my husband can't eat for medical reasons. The person who answered the phone very rudely said "Go to the google I can't confirm you," and told me neither he nor any other employee can answer any questions about allergies or food ingredients.
