Last Saturday, January 21, 2023, my family, friends and I celebrated my grand daughter Jocelyn Brown's 1st birthday. It was a lot of families there on this day so the place was full. The children played and enjoyed themselves. We actually had a party in the third room upstairs. The party room was scheduled to be finished at 3:30. As the mother of the birthday girl was giving out the cupcakes to all the kids before packing up and heading back downstairs, an older Caucasian female with gray hair came into the room. As she entered the room, she stated " we have to clean up" and started to sweep the floor while we're inside getting our things and leaving out. Not to mention food was still out in the open. The problem for us was she was disrespectful in her approach. No one responded to her at all out of respect. I'm a social worker that works for the Lake County DCS office and my son and his partners are Michigan City Firefighters. No one from our group wanted any trouble so we didn't even mention this to the manager. We didn't respond we just went down to the main floor and finished the event. Even though nothing was said in person we thought it would be better to just do a review. Personally speaking, I wouldn't recommend or return for any event. We had small children with us and to get into a verbal dispute with someone would never be something we would put our children through. All we ask for is respect. There was nothing welcoming about this staff member that "handled" our party room. Poor customer service.

My grand childern loved it! Great place to let them burn it off. . Party room was a nice size. But make sure you understand that your time starts on the time , you can not come in earlier to decorate or set up and ending time the same so clean up early.

Great place but pretty small for 8 or older. Very clean. Tons of seating for adults. Did not do lazer tag but will try if next time. Overall good time but for a 6 and 8 year old we were done in less than 2 hours. Nice little Cafe there too with tons of ice cream and toppings. Great place for kindergarten or younger for parties. Watch the hours before you go. They close to clean between 1230-130pm.

It's a nice place to bring going kids to play, the play area is enclosed and there are chairs all along the walls to sit. They have a little cafe with kid friendly food & the prices are reasonable! Nice staff, great place to go to kill a few hours 😊

We enjoyed our time together at Fireflies and were impressed with the clean facilities and options available for various food items. Prices are reasonable and most importantly we felt that the children were enjoying themselves in a safe environment. It would be great if they'd update their website. It was difficult for me to find details on FB, or the website about the place. I called and they mentioned having a cafe and restaurant so I googled Fireflies Restaurant and finally found information about it. All in all, our experience was positive. Planning a birthday gathering there in the near future!

We drove an hour away to try this place out with our two year old. The place is clean and plenty to do for kids about five and under. However, the staff is not friendly and the food is gross. There was a line of about 30 of us standing in the snow/rain ready to go in when they opened at 2pm, and they took their sweet time allowing us to enter. Once we walked in, we were unfamiliar with the process of obtaining wristbands and the staff could care less while they just stared blankly at us. Once we finally figured it out and checked in, I went to check the food menu out. I brought the menu back to my fiancé so he could take a look, and when I went back up to order the male employee with long hair (no hair net) had the audacity to tell me ‘to put the menu back and don’t take it again, it belongs at the counter’. I politely explained I was letting my fiancé take a look and decide what he wanted. The shorter male employee wearing a newspaper boy type hat responded ‘well it looked like you were taking it’. We will definitely go back so our son can have fun, but do NOT recommend the food or expect courteous staff.

It's cute but our kids get bored here fast. Also why do adults have to pay to exist in your building!?!?! That is really upsetting. I don't enjoy having to pay to sit In a seat & scroll social media while my kids play. You would have alot more business if it wasn't set up this way.

All new equipment in October 2022. Toddler area separated from bigger kids area. Small arcade, Lazer tag, and party rooms. $8 per child, $2 per adult

So this place has recently been updated. We exclusively used the indoor playground facility for 2 kids under 5. Pros: First off I really like the new layout. The toddler section is more divided and the bigger kid section has way more to do. I do miss the really fast slide but overall I'm really happy with the better safety of the space (plastic mesh lining for "walls" safer then netting ripping/ plastic platforms seems easier to keep clean etc...) Love the more organized seating but those chairs need to be nailed down. Kids and parents were rocking them and a few seem broken already. I hope they get fixed and nailed down. I also saw staff walking through the playground area (for the first time ever) I thought this was great but I wish they would have done some actual policing. Bigger kids were really out of control running through there and I did see a number of smaller people get plowed over. I do wish staff were more heavily involved in the policing as allot of the parents don't. I also really love that the new layout has really discouraged really big kids. (Don't get me wrong we need a discovery zone to come back for 13+ but not mixed in with under 8). This place used to be a place where parents just dropped off their kids and turned them loose... There was nobody there to hold out of control kids accountable for inappropriate activity. Seen much less of that today so hopefully that's been cracked down. Cons/room for improvement: *Really wish kids could not be dropped off and need supervised guardians on site. *I wish they would nail down chairs. *Really wish staff policed rough play or kids out of control but this visit was much better than previous... *Wish there was a max amount of kids. If there is then I wish it was lower as it was a bit out of control and packed when we left. (Sunday 1pm) *Wish they offered hours with specific age groups. Kindergarten -6mo exclusively till noon for example.. or sessions divided by ages.. We didn't get any food but it smelled good. My 2 & 5 year olds loved it before it got too crazy & crowded. Great indoor facility with great potential still.

i just need to write a review. first off, when we were here pre covid, the place was awesome. lots of places to play, cool experience, nothing was bad about it!!! until POST COVID. when we came there back in june, it looked completily remodled. and not for the better. there is no more ball pit, trampoline, sand play, spinning rides, soft blocks, and basically all of the fun stuff got removed. it makes somewhere like the dump seem like the biggest, most fun place ever in comparison! that is how bad it got. also, my kids were the biggest kids there, like come on! and the arcade, well, basically no one else was there to play with my children, so it was just boring all over. it made a game like smb2: the lost levels seem like the best game in existence in comparison! used to be our favorite place to go, but after the remodel, no thank you. and there are even CLOSING HOURS DURING THE DAY?! HELLO?! AM I IN A NIGHTMARE?!?!?! no. i am not. there really are... closing hours during the day. never come here again, guys. not after what me and my daughters had to experience.
